Ive been here numerous times for eye exams and to get glasses and the staff is so so nice. They are super friendly and very helpful on the phone. I had an awful experience at my first visit yesterday with one of the front desk employee (short hair and thicker lady), she was extremely rude, inappropriate and lied. She asked me if I filled out a form online, I told her no, I was not aware that it was required to fill the forms out online. As she's reaching over to grab the forms she says "Of course not". I asked her why she said that and was there a problem, she looked me dead in my face and lied. I'm standing at the desk with only a plexiglass between us and she said that loud enough for me to hear. I felt that was a micro aggression and honestly I'm little hurt over it because I no longer feel comfortable at this location, and I feel like my race played a huge factor. Everyone that walked in after me who looked nothing like me was greeted with a positive attitude from her. I have never felt so disrespected in my entire life. read more

I have been going here for years. Lots of glasses on display. Many of them are designer glasses. The customer service is fabulous. They have glasses, and sunglasses for just about everyone. I would have said everyone but you can't please everyone. They have contact lenses too. They have a good center for checking further and dilating your eyes. These guys are the best. We found the Vision Center when my son started wearing glasses at 2 years old. He's now almost 10. We recently discovered my 6 year old needed glasses and there was no question where we would go. The staff- particularly Ray and Shawn- always go out of their way for us. Between glasses repairs (which happen a LOT), rx sports goggles and just finding the right pair that makes them happy, Vision Center is simply above and beyond! My husband and I both go there for contacts and glasses as well. I highly recommend them! read more

"Dr." Clinton McLean is a joke. He and his Receptionist had ordered the incorrect size contact lenses THREE times, and after continuously giving them the benefit of the doubt just so I would be able to see (hopefully) soon, they have proceeded to tell me it was my fault! They had continued to order lenses too large that swam around my eyes every time I blinked, and they had tried to convince me to "just try them out, just take them home and try them for a few days..". Seriously?! you want me to DRIVE around with contacts swimming around my eyes, and you're a Doctor?! After my THIRD return of these incorrect lenses, the Receptionist then became hostile, scolding me as if i were a child! Excuse me Lisa, i'm a paying Customer, and have been for years! This is how you're treating your patients?! Thank god i've taken my business elsewhere. I loved everyone else in the office but Dr. McLean and his Receptionist are completely juvenile, unprofessional, insensitive and lack any form of acceptable Customer Service. read more

I gave Vision Center Two Stars because I didn't agree with Yelp's designation of Three Stars being A-OK, when Vision Center was in my mind just OK. I was referred to Vision Center by my insurance company. Their office is located in a shopping center, so I wasn't sure how good an operation they were. Their facility was clean and pretty straight forward, but I did have to make an appointment before I would be seen. When I came back and after registering and providing my insurance card, I met with one of two Optometrist on duty in the back of the facility. I was given a full range of tests on my eyes and was told that I had Cataracts in both eyes, my right being more serious than the left. Unfortunately, they didn't do any eye surgeries, nor were they able to refer me to a eye doctor who accepted my insurance. So when I got back to my insurance company I was referred to a second facility that was closer to where I lived that was vastly more professional and was a full service provider, Eye Physicians and Surgeons. They repeated the tests that the Optometrist had done at Vision Center, but then I met with the actual doctor who would be doing my surgery who explained in detail what would take place. Essentially if all you're looking for is to determine if you need new lenses and buy new glasses or contacts Vision Center is where you can get that done, but if what you need is going to entail any corrective surgery, you're better off going to a full service facility like Eye Physicians and Surgeons. read more
