I don't really like this location b/c it can be chaotic. I usually go to the Southport location but this one is closer to my house. I had an appointment to check my vision & get contact lenses/glasses prescription. I've been going to Dr.Nilka Pabon for 10+ years. She is very professional & is good @ what she does. I will continue to only see her as my Optometrist. Unfortunately, this location is always packed & short-staffed. read more

This has been the office of my eye doctor like forever. I have been coming here since I've been a young child. I always remember them being super friendly and very patient. My eyes are very sensitive to direct light so my eye exams involve about a half a box of Kleenex but they know it and always deal with it. The doctor does a good job explaining to me what is going on with my eyes and how they have evolved with time. Getting to the point where I will need to change my prescription but they are not pushy with insisting on new glasses. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for a new office to ha e your eyes checked out. read more

The staff were excellent and attentive! I had a later appointment and was conscious of that so was concerned about staying too late to pick up frames. They didn't rush me at all, didn't mind that I picked out a lot to try on (despite all the extra effort for cleaning them). All my kids have grown up with Jeff who has assisted them from their 1st pair of glasses to contacts. I can not stop raving about my visit to Vison Center Associates in Bridgeport CT. I've worn glasses from a pretty young age and thus, have seen many eye doctors. I had never had, the pleasure of having a visit like the one I had today with Doctor Lindsay Estel. So incredibly professional, thorough, kind, knowledgeable really exceptional. She is a hard to come by type of Doctor. That extends to Odalis- she took the time to explain options and answer all my questions- just like Dr. Lindsay! I have been using VCA for as long as I can remember. They are the only ones who have ever been able to get my lens curve the correct way allowing me to see so much better. The staff is wonderful and the doctors are upfront and honest. I cannot recommend a better place. They actually take the time to listen to you, which most places don't. My daughter, Molly, recently had her eye exam at the Bridgeport office. I accompanied her and observed the service. The staff was really efficient. They processed the insurance on the spot. There was an eye doctor there who was relatively new, Dr. Estel. She was just awesome. She took her time, explained everything, was friendly and pleasant. She's a credit to the office. We'll definitely be back. Haven't purchased products from this office yet, so can't speak to that, but we will. Make an appointment with Dr. Estel..... I highly recommend her!! read more

I have been coming here for several years and have always loved the doctor. My insurance switched this year, I call and bring my card in which is then copied and scanned. I have my entire appointment and then I am informed that my insurance is not accepted and it is going to be an out of pocket cost. No responsibility taken by the front desk or billing. Extremely rude, horrible customer service. Being in the medical field, it is unacceptable to have a patient seen and then inform them it is not covered. read more

The doctors were great! However, after the exam, get the glasses somewhere else! They are extremely inefficient and take forever to get either glasses or contacts in. After my exam, I picked out the glasses that I wanted, as well as ordered my contacts. I was told that the contacts would take 4 days and the glasses two weeks. Guess what, two weeks later and I have neither! What a joke!!! read more

I would like to give this place a zero but they don't have a zero! I have been going there for 14 years! New staff now and when I went in was told I still had a couple of hours to wait for my scheduled appointment because they were busy then my friend who also had an appointment they told them they weren't going to be seen at all that day! The staff was rude, belligerent, and down right disrespectful! I said I like to speak to the office manager and she laughed and said I'm it! Then asked to speak to a doctor and she laughed and said oh well they are just to busy! The new management has a lot to be desired! After 14 years of going there I will never return!!! read more

I have had a very tough experience with this office. The staff isn't helpful. When I waited months to receive the glasses I ordered, I called multiple times for an explanation on the delay. No one could tell me what was wrong or when to expect my glasses. Finally, when I showed up in person, my lenses were in the office but just needed to be cut (which would only take 20 minutes!). It would have been ok if I felt like someone actually cared that I had been waiting for months to receive the glasses. They were unapologetic and borderline rude. 8 months later - I am receiving a bill from them for additional special exams?? Had they build my medical insurance first and then my vision insurance, the claim amounts would have been covered. Apparently, that's not how they do things. So....let's just say, this office is not my cup of tea. read more

Vision Center in Southport has a very nasty person working there, her name is Laura. She shouldn't be working with the public. I went to pick up my glasses and Laura said: Read this. I did. Then she shoved the glasses in a flat case with no cloth for cleaning them. She did NOT adjust them. They were very loose. THEY TOLD ME TO COME BACK! (because their sand pan was not hot enough to bend the arms of the glasses) I told them I couldn't come back. so Laura, the nasty one, took them and adjusted them a little. They are still loose. They slung them in a flat case, the type that your glasses can slip out of, or get crushed in your purse. On top of that, they didn't give me a cloth. The nasty person, Laura, told me "They cost money." No kidding! Laura told me that they pay $5.00 a cloth. I never heard such a ridiculous thing in my life. Then Betsy, at the desk, said she had another kind but didn't think I would like it so she didn't offer me one. I didn't get designer frames even though the cost of my glasses were over $400.00 so I wasn't entitled to a cloth or a decent case. Don't go to Vision Center. They are nasty and cheap. Oh, when I got home I went online and didn't see any cloth that was over $1.00 I even got samples sent to me! And Pearl Vision gave me a cloth. read more
