I must say the office is outstanding. For her first visit she was put through many detailed technologically advanced diagnostic testing, they checked everything from peripheral vision, to multiple scans on the back of the eye, and the front. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain in detail what every test was and why it's important to check for glaucoma and other eye diseases. Then we met Dr. Mendelsohn, he was a very thoughtful and insightful physician. He explained in great detail that my mom had developed cataracts and recommended surgery that should done with laser and a new state of the art Panoptix Pro lens. He took his time explaining the process of cataract surgery and we went forward with it. Dr. Alec Chaleff was the cataract surgeon for the practice and he was nothing but a miracle worker. He restored my mom's vision to the point she can see very small details and things far away without glasses. I couldn't be happier that my mom did cataract surgery with Dr. Mendelsohn and Dr. Chaleff. Highly recommend everyone to do cataract surgery with this office.

I had to make two stops on the way home because I couldn't see at all and I asked people for directions how to get home I asked four people people and nobody had the answer To get to Hiatus Road from Sheridan Street I didn't get home until after 7 30 PM that night I had quite a panic attack trying to make it home. He has wonderful reviews he's a great surgeon but they would not help me at all to have standard cataract surgery. I'm very disappointed. She told me she could not see me and referred me to the an ophthalmologist. That opthamologist gave me the same diagnosis. I was not happy with his bedside manner. Besides that, I wanted another opinion from an opthamologist. So, I ended up seeing Dr. Wolfe. He diagnosed the same thing. He suggested that I have an LPI surgery. I had 20/20 vision but this is something that is not detectable by me, did not affect my vision. I would have never known about this had I not gone for semi regular eye exams. So make sure you go for your eye exam because you never know. Anyway, Dr. Wolfe did an excellent job of opening my angles. He explained every step of the way to me. He has steady hands and while it was no picnic, it was bearable. And let me tell you....I am a big baby! I don't even like to get blood drawn let alone anything to do with my eyes. I go for yearly check-ups to make sure everything is still okay and hopefully it will continue to be. He's very professional and speaks on a level that I feel comfortable with. Sometimes doctors like to talk in a way that is very sophisticated with their medical terms. I recommend him for a regular exam or hopefully nobody needs a surgery like I did.

She was great, kind, energetic, and finally gave me a diagnosis that explained what had been going on with my eyes. I felt hopeful after that visit. After completing the 10-day treatment, my eyes were better still not right after I stopped. I called the office on March 11 and left a voicemail. I eventually received a call back and was told to continue treatment and come back in sooner, so I scheduled a follow-up for March 30. I also asked for a refill on my eye drops and was told it would be called into my pharmacy. That never happened. I called again and left another voicemail. No response. I waited about a week, called again, and still no response and no prescription called in. At that point, I had no way to continue the treatment I was told to follow and my follow up appt was approaching. Today, Friday March 27, I received a call from Jose asking if I was keeping my Monday March 30 appointment. I explained the situation and said that would depend on the doctor wants, since I had not been able to continue treatment due to the prescription never being sent in. Instead of addressing the issue, he repeatedly asked if I wanted to cancel. When I asked about the cancellation policy, he said there would be a fee if not within 24 hours, so I told him to cancel. When I asked for his name, he avoided answering and kept talking. I had to ask multiple times before he finally said his name was Jose and started spelling it even though I didn't ask for it. The interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily frustrating. I'm not going to lie, he pissed me off. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. The doctor seemed great - although I didn't know my condition was chronic until I looked it up on the internet. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and unprofessional front office experience completely undermined the care. It is unacceptable to leave a patient without access to prescribed treatment and then push them to keep an appointment anyway. Very disappointing.

I was then called to the window so the receptionist could verify I had an appoint and once again told to have a seat in the waiting area. The waiting area was full and i knew this doctor double or even triple books. After waiting almost an hour I was called in only to be taken into another room and told to have a seat. Again I waited when finally a young woman came in did not introduce her self and proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions and performed a simple eye exam. I was then escorted into another room where I waited a short time and anothe woman looked in my eyes with a machine and then put drops international my eyes. Once again I was escorted into a waiting room and told to keep my eyes closed. I waited at least 45 minutes when I was finally called into a room where guess what I had to wait at least 20 minutes before the doctor came in who looked in my eyes with some kind of machine and also with a bright light. He said your fine your eyes are healthy. This took all of 5 minutes. I could not belive I was there for almost three hours. I will never go back to this doctor. My time is just as valuable as his.

They were willing to take my girlfriend right away, but there was no ophthalmologist or Eye Specialist on duty. We were so lucky to find Dr. Smith, who was kind enough to fit her in and take us on a late Friday afternoon. Not only did he find the eye not to be infected, it was an inflammation on the inside. That probably would have been misdiagnosed anywhere else . He has a really new nice office in a new building, its all set back from itself and other offices it also has a parking garage and room to park a car .
