One of the ladies recommended Asia Rose so I called to inquire about availability and they were able to get me in same day. Setting up the appointment was very streamlined and professional. Mychala set up my appointment and did my facial and I enjoyed her so much! She was very professional and informative. I appreciated her being considerate that it was my first time and taking her time to walk me through the process. Mychala also provide recommendations for both my home regimen and my next steps with Asia Rose Spa. Parking is a bit tricky in Virginia Highlands as it is mostly paid street parking. I went on a Sunday (which I highly recommend) when the area is a bit more quiet and street parking fees are waived. On arrival, I was warmly greeted, offered refreshments, and given forms to fill out for consent and medical reasons. Arrive early so that you have time to fill them out became it is quite a stack. I wish there was an option to fill out online ahead of time. The interior is beautiful. It is such a relaxing atmosphere. There is a private sitting room with refreshments and lockers available for VIP members to wait. I look forward to trying it out soon, but there wasn't anyone I had to share the main lobby with so I was fine. Richelle was my esthetician, and come to find out, the owner. The facial (even the extractions) were so gentle that I nearly drifted to sleep. What kept me from doing so was Richelle's great and informative conversation. She discussed my current routine and products and helped me identify what my problem areas were. I went home with a sample set of their in-house skincare line (Mocha Rose). My normally oily, sensitive, and congested skin is responding well to it after the usual purging phase. My favorite product so far is the 24 Karat serum. It makes my skin feel so soft and hydrated.
