I've been coming here for almost 3 years and have always left happy...until this past Friday between 10-10:30 AM. There was only one lady working, an older woman with glasses. She was very kind, but unfortunately, this was the most painful threading session I've ever had. It felt like far too much hair was removed, and when she finished, she applied aloe without asking (something the other ladies usually do after checking if the customer wants it). When she handed me the mirror, I noticed my brows looked a little uneven, but since I was rushing to a doctor's appointment, I paid and left. Later, in better lighting, I was shocked. My brows were extremely thin...something I've never experienced here. I've always had naturally fuller brows, even though they've thinned slightly with age, and I take pride in keeping them that way. I honestly wanted to cry. I eventually called to share my concerns, and while no manager or owner was available, the girl who answered was very sweet and understanding. I explained what happened and suggested that the threaders be reminded to always confirm exactly what the customer wants...especially when someone asks for a simple clean-up. I know brows grow back, but this has been really upsetting, especially with an event I have next weekend. This is definitely a learning experience for me, and I just want to encourage others to be specific with their requests and, if possible, stick to a threader you trust for consistency.

Fortunately, my brows are microbladed so they already have a shape and can't technically be ruined. Pros: the ladies are nice and cleaned the areas I wanted really well. They also work quickly. The space is clean and the prices are reasonable. Location is right in downtown Chandler.

However I went in and got helped by Hota/Jota and she was super gentle and it was relatively pain free. I'm not someone who really cares about the shape as long as they're cleaned up, but she did really well on the shaping. I am just happy I found her as when I go I typically need to wear numbing cream because it's so painful but with Hota she was super gentle and light handed.

After some Yelp research, I decided upon Brows by Hasini based on all of the great reviews. It was a little bit further than what I would normally travel for, but I thought it might be worth it. It was very easy to make an appointment through email, actually. The place itself is a little bit difficult to find for your first time because the GPS just kind of drops you off in a plaza. It is to the left of Bashas and right next to an Italian eatery. The woman who did my eyebrows did a great job. What I loved is that she listened to me. I'm asking for something very simple, just to clean up in a little bit and do some shaping, as I usually do a good job on my own and just kind of need help shaping every once in a while. She listened, and I couldn't believe the price when she told me. $12. I will take that trip any day for $12 for an eyebrow! There is no bathroom so if you have to go to the bathroom go to Bashas like I did. She told me that she was new. The place itself is cute, pretty simple. The method, threading, was much quicker than plucking, and less pain. After the basic task I was asked if I wanted to tint and I was quick to agree. A little color would add noticeable improvement. The brown black color is striking, and dark enough for this first time. I'm pleased with the final results as well as the method. Will probably be returning again in a few weeks for a redo.

She took the time to teach her (my mom)how to fill in her eyebrows and explained what products to use and why.
