Was told we don't do appointments but need to be here by 10:30. When I arrive they argued with me at front desk there phone had not rung so I literally pulled out my phone and showed them. Also I have federal Bcbs and my copay should be the same every time and I have my remit to show first two were both $30 but they collected $40 and $25 because they would not listen to me. I have worked in medical field for over 30 years and never in my life seen poor professionalism. This will be my last visit but I will let doctor know how they treat people and with people like that working his front desk he might as well retire.

I went over and found a pair that I liked, sat with one of their SALESPEOPLE and was told that after insurance my TOTAL would be $400. I paid for the sunglasses and asked for them to be sent to the Marianna office because it was closer for me to pick up. I was sent or received a message a couple to a few weeks later that my sunglasses were ready for pick up. I went to the Marianna office and they told me they did not receive them they were still in the Dothan office, I was going away that weekend and wanted the new glasses so I drove to Dothan and picked them up. Fast forward a couple months I get a bill for $1100 for my glasses. Make a call to the Dothan office and they say it was never submitted to the insurance company and said they would submit it. Now 6 months later I get a bill for $92 for sales tax on the glasses that I paid $400 for. These guys play a lot of games with their billing and making the numbers look better than they are! I guess the first girl doesn't know how to add the tax to my "TOTAL" before the sale. The other people don't know how to add my insurance to the sale and the other people don't know how to ship the glasses to Marianna like I asked before they tell me they are there. However, this time proved to be a different story: (1) I was misled in what the results of the lens implants should be (how well I would be able to see after the implants), (2) the review of past history, current tests, and results of the surgery were ignored, (3) there were not follow-ups at the office the day after each surgery, only a phone call from a staff member (4) the CRNA made rude comments just prior to surgery and the doctors made rude comments during follow-up visits, (5) there was a good size skin tear on the end of my nose when I awoke from the 2nd cataract/implant surgery-this was totally avoidable-there is NO reason for it other than being too aggressive in pulling the tape off, and (6) the price for lenses was $920/lens higher than what other local ophthalmologists charge. **The positive is that the nurses and receptionists were professional and helpful.

By the way, the woman I saw here recommended monthly disposables which were a nightmare and so uncomfortable and I ended up ordering my regular ones online anyway. So, I also ended up wasting my money on the monthly disposables that I purchase here as well. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants it…read more I am a Registered Nurse with over 10 years of experience, and I chose North Columbus Eye Center for LASIK after a reassuring consultation with Dr. Ceravolo. I have significant procedural anxiety and made that very clear ahead of time. Unfortunately, the experience during the procedure itself was completely different. While my eye was held open under the laser, Dr. Ceravolo made multiple comments that indicated confusion, including statements like, "Did I press the wrong button?" and "What did I just do?" As a patient, hearing that in the middle of a procedure involving my eye was extremely distressing. When I asked if everything was okay, I was met with an aggressive "it will be if you would just hold your eye open and look at the laser". From that point forward, his demeanor became increasingly frustrated and aggressive, with repeated sharp instructions directed at me despite my clear anxiety and efforts to comply. Following the procedure, he performed a very brief exam, and left without any reassurance or communication. I left feeling distressed and at fault. At my follow-up appointment the tech immediately acknowledged awareness of my case and apologized for Dr. Ceravolo's behavior, indicating that it had been discussed among staff and that this conduct was not out of character. Additionally, while waiting in the exam room, I overheard Dr. Ceravolo having a personal conversation about coworkers DIRECTLY outside my door. The remarks included staff speaking negatively about coworkers, references to a hostile work dynamic, Dr Ceravolo saying the other doctor in his office "doesn't want to go to jail and can't afford divorce" and a statement about someone "going full Russian" on another individual. Additionally, there was a lapse in my post-operative care instructions. This experience was not only distressing but fell significantly below the standard of care and professionalism expected in a surgical setting. I have never encountered this level of unprofessional conduct from a provider. I emailed them and received a message stating that "Dr Ceravolo is very professional and if you'd like to speak with him he's more than willing". If this review helps even ONE person go to West Georgia Eye instead of North Columbus Eye I've done my job.

My 4 stars is not because there was anything wrong with the quality of my eye glasses. It is for anyone with allergies. The office has a pet that roams free--a one-eyed cat that is as sweet as can be, but my son is very allergic. Also, someone in the office smokes or someone before the place was a doctor's office, but the smell is still strong. Having a son with significant allergies, I am very aware, but anyone would have noticed this. The smell was strong. If you or your loved one has allergies, you need to find another eye doctor. If you can stand that, I bought the cutest glasses there and I can see so much better.
