Picked up My glasses today. I am so happy. I'm so glad I went here. My glasses came out way better than I could ever imagine. Customer service is not good!!! Give an appointment long time ( 2 months at least)!!!! When I rechecked to make sure & they said nothing on the book!!! Although I liked Dr. Laura, unfortunately I had my eyes examined and dropped off a pair of prescription sunglasses on Nov. 12, 2025 and I just received my last pair of glasses 2/27/26! Yes, it took them over 3 months to complete my order. Approximately 2 weeks after my exam I was called in to pick up my glasses. I also dropped off an old pair of Prada to update my prescription. Now they have two pairs to complete and I have my newest glasses. Every week I called for an update and had to explain my situation Repeatedly. I even spoke with the office manager who made repeated reassurances that I would be updated regularly. She shouldn't be employed here any longer. After two months I became completely dissatisfied with their service. I had to eventually go in person and speak with Dr. Laura. She seemed to be unaware of my circumstance. They lost my sunglasses and had me pick a different frame. After that I began receiving weekly updates. Around 2 weeks later I picked up my prescription sunglasses. My Prada glasses were on back order. They finally called me this week and I received my last pair of glasses. It took them over 3 months. I'll never go back. My first review was written 11 years ago. I guess you can say I've been a long time patient/customer. We went in for our annual check up with Dr. Ha. Everything was just as we remembered. Raquel helped us out with our frame selection, she was extremely patient and I loved that she didn't rush the process. I got the Meta Rayban glasses, and I can't wait to wear them. I am extremely disappointed with eyecon optometry. My daughter's frame has broken for the second time from just daily use and I spoke with them on two different occasions both disappointing. I first asked for her prescription so that I can find a more affordable pair online and was told they'd email it to me but they never did. I called them back and asked if I can at least purchase the frame because the lenses were still in good condition and they said for the plastic frames it would be 200 dollars. We're talking about non designer glasses. The markup is insane for a basic plastic frame. I was told they'd call me back with different options but never did. I will be taking my business elsewhere. The entire process was very informative and all of the staff was professional and great! The entire team was quite knowledgeable and kind. I got a comprehensive exam and felt really assured afterwards that the health of my eye was the priority. Let me preface this review by saying I got my glasses and prescription sunglasses from EyeCon last year and had absolutely no issues. The eye exam and frames purchase process were all a pleasant experience. I'm also not one to complain much (or leave one star reviews for that matter). That all changed today. I scheduled an appointment for 11:30am on Veteran's Day because I had the day off work. I rang their doorbell and waited for the receptionist to open the door. I checked in and was then told they could not see me. I was dumbfounded. They told me I was 1 minute past their strict 10 minute tardiness policy. I found myself even more dumbfounded and filled with many questions. Where was this strict policy posted and why was it not mentioned on their website, in their appointment reminders, or anywhere? And for 1 minute? When does the clock start? Is it when you ring the doorbell? When they open the door? I asked the receptionist if 1 minute really made all the difference. She knew it sounded ridiculous and checked twice to make sure they could not see me. She confirmed and just kept saying it was their policy. I can understand the inconvenience caused if I was running really late (and be courteous to let them know). But for being late by 1 minute from this unwritten/previously unsaid policy? It's hard enough finding time to take off work. Suffice to say, eye cannot see myself back here. EyeCon, you've lost this customer. read more

I left my initial review nearly four years ago, and I wanted to provide an update on my experience with Eyecon Optometry given that I am still a patient today. Dr. Chen has been my optometrist for the past few years, and she is by far one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It's very rare to find a healthcare professional that you can totally trust, but Dr. Chen has proven that there really are kind and compassionate doctors out there that truly care about their patients. Dr. Chen and the entire staff at Eyecon are always so incredibly kind and welcoming -- they remember me and are always happy to see me, they're flexible with my appointments and availability, and they always make sure to provide enough time to answer all of my questions. I recently got LASIK with pre- and post-op care provided by Dr. Chen at Eyecon, so I've had a LOT of questions in the past several months, but I've never been rushed or made to feel like my concerns were not important. Separately, I started going to Eyecon when I lived near the office in Reseda, but moved to a much further part of LA three and a half years ago. Eyecon is now a 45+ minute drive from my current location, but I still make the trip out to see Dr. Chen and staff because of the truly exceptional service they provide. Sure, it might be more convenient to see an optometrist near my current neighborhood -- but it wouldn't be worth giving up the phenomenal experience provided at Eyecon Optometry. I would highly recommend Eyecon and Dr. Chen for all of your optometry needs! read more

I've never had any problems at Eyecon, I have been coming here since I was in elementary school. The staff is very kind and courteous. The service here is excellent and helpful. I received a prescription for Ortho-K lenses here and I have never had any problems. They do a yearly replacement and always schedule annual appointments for you so you don't have to stress. read more

She told my husband I am not talking to you I'm talking to her , referring to me . My response was he is my husband and pays the bills. My reason for cancelling is Raquel's rudeness. Listen carefully to your so called recording . In my life I have not been spoken to in this manner . You lost me as a patient due to her and her alone . In regard to glasses being delayed my husband was referring to his personal experience with your office . My dad may he rest in peace. Was an optometrist and he would never allow his patients to be treated so horribly. I know you will defend your staff as this review is on Yelp for all to see. and you want to protect your business. They used to be good but not anymore. The first time I got my glasses after my exam I could tell right away they weren't right but i gave them a chance but I became more frustrated. After a month brought them back. They tried to fix it but still wrong, I took back again and asked for my money back but they refused to give me my money back. The manager from the front desk is the meanest woman that I've ever seen. She doesn't have manners I got humiliated in front of other people. Very bad experience. My husband was experiencing extreme visual fatigue having to spend 6+ hours/day on the computer for his new job. I've gotten my glasses here twice but haven't gone back for two reasons: 1. Last time I got my glasses, the people working there seemed catty. Also, the guy who helped me out was a bit impatient with me and left a sour taste in my mouth. 2. I received an email stating that my check up is due and to give the times I'm available for an appointment. The email said they'll follow up.... never happened. Received another automated email (same as the first one) requesting times I'm available for an appointment and that someone will follow up. No one ever followed up. What's the point of those automated emails if the staff doesn't even attend to them? I decided to try somewhere else out (Valley Optometry Eyecare Center) and I'm soooo much happier that I made the move. They're way nicer and actually follow up. Such a shame because Eyecon is literally right across the street from where I live but that's not enough for me to go back. read more

I had a pleasant visit at Eyecon Optometry! Van helped me out with setting up my appointment and informing me about my coverage prior to coming in. Upon arrival, I was greeted within a few minutes I was taken in for my appointment. Lily was very helpful and thorough with the eye examination which made me feel comfortable. After examination, Van proceeded to help me pick out my frame and provided excellent feedback on certain frames that would fit my needs. I am very pleased with the whole experience! If you're looking to spend a lot of money for a very impersonal experience, this is the place to go! When we met Dr. Chen for our nearly $400 binocular vision exam, which really wasn't very different from a comprehensive exam that insurance pays for, she was very nice. She disagreed with the Kaiser doctor's prescription, but since she said this would be best for our daughter, we went ahead and filled it. After a few days of wearing it, I called the doctor to see if the double, blurry vision that my daughter was complaining about was normal. Apparently, you can only talk to the doctor with a $65 phone appointment because she is so busy, but her receptionist said it was normal so I guess we'll go with that. Think twice before checking this place out. read more

My teenage daughter used to wear glasses for nearsightedness, and her optometrist mentioned Ortho K . I made an appointment and we decided to try this for her because it would be more beneficial than wearing glasses all day. At first, she did have a difficult time trying to insert the contact lens, but we are now one month in and she is an expert in inserting and removing both lenses. Her eyesight is 20/20 and she no longer needs to wear anything at all during the day. She is very happy with this and so am I. Such a pleasant experience for my first time to the optometrist. The staff were all friendly, professional, & informative. It was easy booking an appointment. Dr Ha is very caring & listens to any issues you want to bring up & explains them to you! I ended up needing prescription glasses & the first time I got my glasses, they kept slipping down my face because the frame wasn't really supportive. I was worried I wouldn't be able to return them or exchange them for any other ones that suited me because the glasses were already customized for my use. However, they apologized for it & let me choose another pair of glasses to be adjusted free of cost to make up for it! The wait to pick the new ones up was only ~2days, which was perfect since I had to go back to college around the same time. Keep up the good service! Will definitely recommend to friends. read more

Very nice people who work here, very confident in their decision making and they make you feel very comfortable. It's a very clean space, but not a very nice area (like night and day when you walk in from outside). And the doctors are really great. My reason for knocking a couple stars is because in Jan I went in for a consultation for a new prescription and they told me that based on my old prescription my left eye actually got better! Which I was like "have I been eating THAT many carrots?"... so I get my glasses which look great, but when I put them on I feel a little disoriented. They tell me they're new, give them a couple days to get used to it, so I say ok and leave (kinda feeling like when I get new breaks and they say "the squeeking will stop after a couple of days"). So a week goes by and they're not doing it for me, I get a little queezy when I wear them and put them down and switch to my old pair. Work happens and Im finally able to go in and see if I can get them adjusted. A nice older man greats me and I tell him what's wrong. He tells me, it's probably the focus on the lens, let me fix it. So he goes behind the counter, heats the lens up and moves it around. Gives them a squeegie and gives them back to me. "How about now?"... they're ok... "try them out a couple days and you'll get used to them"... I give it a week and I switch to my old glasses. Time passes (more than three months) and life gets away from me. I have a kid, yadda yadda, work work work, and now it's 10 months later. My old glasses get so scratched that I think, well time for new glasses. So I know my old glasses are not going to cut it so I take my prescription to another optometry. A week passes and boom new glasses! But same problem. I go to that optometries token older worker and tell him "these don't feel right" and he literally does the same thing the OTHER older guy from EyeCon did and gave me the SAME line, "give it a couple days". A week later, I can't handle it so I dig for my reserve glasses and I'm better. Cut to today.... So I call EyeCon today to talk about this anomaly (it's not the glasses it's the prescription from Jan) and they are so sweet when they tell me, I'm sorry but it's after 90 days. ...guess I'm making an appointment in Jan to get this changed. I'll probably update this review then. I mean they're really nice here, but I am not paying another $45 to get checked out. read more

My daughter is 11 urs old and has been on Ortho K for 3 months. She absolutely loves the fact that she doesn't need to wear her glasses anymore. Best optometrist I've been to. They're very thorough with their examination. Staff is very helpful and nice, especially Peter. He game me the best service and showed me all the glasses that my insurance could pay for. I also like that they have their own brand offered at a much lower price than the higher end brand for glasses.
