My experience was okay, not exceptional but good. The office was definitely clean and updated. I arrived a few minutes early on my appointment time and was promptly seen, after completing a one page questionnaire and paying my copay. The male doctor's assistant that took me in, asked me some preliminary questions, etc. was very good and thorough. I really appreciated his attention to detail. The doctor, Dr. Chang, was nice and casual in bedside manner. I did my best to explain my concerns and what brought be there. He did the routine exams, views, retina looks, etc. Not sure if I didn't make myself clear, or maybe he was just very confident everything was okay, i just walked out not certain that my concern about the buckle on my eye was okay since it was installed so long ago. Maybe I was expecting more? The only other issue that I had was the female workers in the back, near where I was located in the office. They were so loud the whole time I was there carrying on about personal matters, jokes, etc... It was definitely annoying...

The exceptional customer service at this location is helmed by Gabriel (himself handsome, fashionable), with high credentials and expertise in the science and art of delivering progressive eye wear. For over a decade and more, he has been fitting me with vogue designer frames, that exude style. And if you only know how many compliments I receive on my eye popping glasses (both prescription and sun), locally here, or when I travel (nationally and internationally). His support staff consists of many, all of them tremendous people who are skilled in their craft. All of them deserve high compliments. I was initially hesitant to enter because the signs on the door were in Korean so I was skeptical that they'd help me, but then I thought That's ridiculous, we're in the United States, why wouldn't they help me? And went in anyway. It turns out I should've trusted my gut. Big time. Literally the second I walked in I was rudely told by the receptionist "We're closed". It was 5:10pm on a Monday. Their posted hours said open til 6pm. So I said "I thought you close at 6?" A crotchety old doctor man interjected abruptly "We close at 5:30". Their rude aggressive demeanor was not ok with me, so I said "You say you close at 5:30, but it's only 5:10, so that would leave me 20 minutes to browse frames, right?" Crotchety senile doctor barks "No!". I said "Oh really? From 5:10 to 5:30 isn't 20 minutes? Is my math wrong?" They all just looked at me. Then the receptionist said "We need time to put the frames away." Um first of all that's only if I actually saw some frames I wanted to try, but more importantly that's part of operating a business. And as I'm looking for something specific and can tell by looking if a frame will suit me or not, it's unlikely I would've even touched many frames. And *on their website* their POSTED HOURS are until 6pm Mondays. I definitely won't be spending a penny here and would encourage anyone else to go elsewhere. I went to a different optometrist not far away in Encino - owned, run and staffed by Americans - and could not have been treated better.
