Fantastic service! I had the nose pad from my Oakley eyeglasses tear off and needed to get them/it replaced. I was traveling to CO so did not know where to go as they are mounted differently than many glasses. We arrived and a young lady offered her assistance. She examined they and advised they did not have the Oakley silicone pads but she could offer others that would work well till I got new ones from Oakley. I agreed and she proceeded to replace both pads good fit and then cleaned my glasses and handed them to me and said you're all set I ask how much and she said it was free. No charge? She said just where a smile today. Being from out of town she knew I would not be back for return purchases but did it all the same. Great job! If I do need something on a return visit that they supply, I will go back in an instant. read more

I'm incredibly frustrated with my experience here. I misplaced my glasses and needed a quick turnaround before a trip this Thursday, so I called around to different places around the city but this was the only location that had a same-day appointment available with the likelihood of getting glasses before I left for my trip. From the very beginning, no one mentioned that the doctor was actually a telehealth doctor. Had they been upfront about that, I would have just kept my appointment for tomorrow with a competitor to see an in-person doctor. To make matters worse, the wait times and tech issues were awful. I arrived at 2:15 PM for my appointment but wasn't taken back for prescreening until well after 2:30 PM. I then sat in the exam room for over an hour. Different staff members kept popping in and out to check the computer due to unexplained tech issues. I didn't actually see the virtual doctor, Dr. Rachel Hammoudeh, until 3:59 PM, and the appointment was rushed through, finishing by 4:05 PM. The actual exam was a mess. There was a terrible lag during the "1 or 2" comparison part, which made it incredibly difficult to confirm what I was looking at. I literally had to advocate for myself just to make sure we were confirming what I was actually seeing. On top of that, Dr. Hammoudeh couldn't have been less personable had she tried. The only reason this isn't a 0-star review is the in-store staff. A huge shout-out to Yari, Eric (a manager from a different location who was helping out), and the two girls running the pre-testing. All of them were super kind, and it was incredibly clear that they felt badly about the situation but their hands were tied by corporate's system and tech issues. They deserve recognition, but the overall lack of transparency and the subpar virtual exam mean I will definitely not be back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Will never go back. Manager was toxic and she turned what was starting off as an otherwise pleasant experience into the worst 12 minutes of my life. Stay away. From what the front desk employees were saying the manager is a real piece of...Art and does that to everyone. What a terrific experience. I had an eye exam performed by Dr Rick Nero. He took the time to explain everything. Due to bad weather, there were several cancelations so I got in early. When it was time for my frames selection, I was assisted by Eric. He was so friendly and he explained what would look best, and feel best. My glasses were completely wrong quite a few times. I think I was in the store about 15 times. Finally, Mgr Cindy offered me a refund, but I had to give the glasses back. I have so much anger towards Eyeglass World, it's insane. They deserve negative 1000 stars. It's hit or miss with them. I went there previously for sunglasses and they were fine. My everyday pairs I purchased had progressive lenses. I think it was just too complex for them. If you have an extremely simple prescription, it might be ok for you. Initially, the optometrist had a date in the evening. She was also a new eye doctor. She rushed me and I don't think the prescription was correct. Incompetence pretty much sums it up. read more

Worlds worst customer service!!!!! I walked in for my appointment at the scheduled time. The person manning the door was helping another customer. By the time she came to check me in I was past the 10 min mark. After 10 minutes you have to reschedule. I was standing at the door....not my fault you were helping someone else. No way will I reschedule. If you over booked the appointment you should have called me to rescheduled BEFORE I wasted my time and gas to get to the office. Julia does not deserve a job if that is how you handle things. You acknowledged I was standing at the door, why could you not acknowledge the appointment. So I made an appointment since their website says 2 pair for X amount. The eye exam would be "included in the cost of the 2 pair" and after filling out paperwork another customer is checking out and she is not happy with her bill. The person behind the desk states, "we aren't Eyeglass World, we are a separate entity and we do charge for the exam and the glasses." The customer was livid as she was not given that information when she called. The tech says, "we try to tell people that when they make their appointment." At that point I stand up and include myself in the convo and ask what I would be paying for today and they said, "$120 for the exam and $78 for lenses and $59 for frames and maybe extra depending on what I chose." I said, "cancel my appointment, this is definitely false advertisement if you are claiming to be Eyeglass World and you are not. Also there was no fine print on paying for the exam. So anyone looking at this...get your exam somewhere else and go on www.zennioptical.com and get your script filled. I paid for bifocals on this site for $69 and they are terrific. My friend got single vision glasses for $24.95. This is in Colorado, but they are all the same as that is what the advertisement states. read more

Went here when the old optometrist was working here and they gave me the wrong prescription for my glasses which made my eyes hurt and they started turning red. I wrote a review on here before and was contacted by an owner or manager saying they wanted to make it right but they did nothing to make it right. Then I recently came here with this new optometrist and thought I would give them another chance since it was someone new. But clearly she doesn't know what she's doing either. I got an exam for contacts and recently picked up my contacts but can not see clearly through my left lens. Things I normally would be able to read up close are blurry and I can see them better with my old prescription in my glasses. I paid a lot of money out of pocket for this exam and my contact lenses that I can't see clearly out of. Plus I am not a fan of being forced to choose between having my eyes dilated or paying extra for them to take photos of my eyes. This place should really hire someone that knows what the F$&k they're doing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!! read more

It was time for my annual examine January. I chose eyeglass world as an alternative to other shops for the prices they offered. The entire staff was wonderful. They helped with all my questions and were very knowledgable. After a couple of months of my new glasses I realized that I need the progressive lenses. They were able to help with this again. I can not begin to say this is NOT for the Eyeglass World, it is for the Optometrist only. She is NASTY and so rude. I was filling out my paper work, she asked what insurance, I told her Tricare. NOPE we don't take that here, I said OH I used it last time. She said we are new and don't take it. I told her Blue Cross? She said I will have to wait for the receptionist to see. I said to her "We are in Colorado Spring with all the Military and you don't support the military? She rolled her eyes and walked away. The receptionist came out and asked what insurance I had, I said well since you don't take Tricare what about Blue Cross? I handed her my card. The Optometrist said "She didn't tell me that". I looked right at her and said yes I did, and she walked past the receptionist and said NO SHE DIDN'T. Even the guy sitting next to me said YES SHE DID. Guess what? They don't take Blue Cross either. I looked at her name tag and was shocked to see that was the optometrist. I asked the girl what my price would be, she told me and I told her "you know with her the one going to do the eye exam, and her attitude, I would not give her one damn dime, cancel my appointment. Now please the people at EYEGLASS WORLD are the BEST. Go someplace to get your eye exam, bring it back to Eyeglass world to get it filled. read more

I have been getting corrective lenses since I was six years old. I know good vision, good fit, and good price. I also know how bad it is when I have to live with poorly corrected vision or a bad fit. Now that I am in bi-focals, it seems more and more difficult to get a good correction for ALL distances. For the first time since I have started wearing bi-focals, I can honestly say that my vision is OUTSTANDING! At Eyeglass World, I didn't feel rushed during my exam or when picking out frames. The doctor really listened to my concerns and the staff helping me with my frames worked with me until I was 100% happy. I have not had this experience at other "highly rated" vision stores in this city - those places always made me feel like just another person that they could make money off of. I didn't give Eyeglass World 5 stars only because it was not the cheapest place in town - but you get what you pay for and they also were not the most expensive place in town. First time customer and now last time . I ordered 3 pairs of glasses, with two of them needing to be made off site. When I left, they said they would call me. A few days from 1 month after that I called them to ask where they might be. Well, they were sitting there, for who knows how long and an "automated" system was supposed to contact me. That did not happen and I let them know, it would have been very simple if they noticed glasses were waiting for the customer to pick them up, especially after a month, they should have a system in place where they actually pick up their phone to call. You know, a double check to make sure the customer knows their glasses are in. I guess that's not company policy and some silly representative there keep saying, "that's on me." Code for I don't understand what real customer service means, maybe I should work in a place where that doesn't matter? Ridiculous! You lost me 100% after that. We got some glasses for my wife here last year, I thought they did okay, prices better than the one hour place, good service, and selection. But when my wife was recently in a car accident and she lost her glasses, their staff went above and beyond to get her some replacement glasses. By purchasing the warranty, I had the same beautiful frames delivered to my door as the nearest store is over an hour and a half away. I needed two new pairs of lenses to go into my existing frames. The lenses were done right on time however when I looked at the tinted pair they were obviously purple, not gray and not tinted enough to be called sunglasses. I brought them back, the staff looked at them and said yep, they're purple and we'll have them fixed for you immediately. I came back in a couple of days to find they had been redone. They were much darker however when I looked through them they were still purple. Again, they said, they'd fix it in a day or two. When I came back the next time they had been redone but were much lighter and still purple. The manager apologized and said to give them two weeks because they will order new gray tinting material and fix them up. Two weeks went by and when picked them up this last time the tint is now.... green. That's definitely an improvement but still, not what I paid for. Everyone has been nothing but polite and accommodating but you get what you pay for. read more

Whoa! This experience was absolutely wonderful! I walked in, was promptly helped by a cheery staff member, told the latest promotions, and directed towards the glasses that suited my needs the best. While browsing I was asked by several staff members if I needed any assistance (not in a hounding way... But in an extremely helpful way). Once I had made my selections Al was quick to start the lens fitting. He walked me through all my options and explained the detailed receipt to me. My glasses were also completed that day! I came in looking for frames. A friend of mine had purchased their 2 for 1 set so I gave it a go. I was greeted by a sale person and I explained why I was in. I asked if my two pairs of glasses could be a different prescription (I needed a distance plus a computer pair). She told me that yes that was indeed possible. I asked how much lenses would cost. She told me that lenses cost $50 per pair for basic. If you want lighter polycarbonate anti-reflex lenses that will cost an additional $25 per pair. This is just for lenses. Frames were starting at $70 although in this low price range I don't know that many would find a modern frame. Frames reached all the way up to $150 and more. I looked at ALL frames as I was interested in finding out if they had something that would suit my face. I tried on probably 50 frames ranging all costs and styles. I could not find anything fitting and I asked the clerk if they would get more frames into the store soon. She told me that yes they do weekly so I thought I may be back. However on my way home I went to Costco to pick up a few things and I ended up getting a better deal for higher quality lenses even though the selection was widely inferior (maybe a tenth of the amount of frames I had seen at EW). So, although I am glad I came in, and the customer service was nice, I can't say that the value/price would make it worth for me to return. This is a classic bait and switch operation. You go in there thinking you are going to get affordable eyeglasses and by the time they are done nickeling and diming you to death the price is ridiculous! I have prescription glasses on top and bifocals on the bottom. I picked a $78.00 dollar frame and by the time they were done with me the cost was $458.00! The girl at the front spoke so fast and hurried through the presentation so quickly that I didn't understand half of what she said...but the bottom line spoke loud and clear. I put my frames back on the rack and left. I can't believe anyone thinks this is a good place to buy eyeglasses. read more

My parents recently went in to get three new pairs of glasses after having a negative experience somewhere else and had success on all counts at Eyeglass World. They asked that I write this on their behalf, as this sort task isn't in their skill set, apparently. According to mum and dad, Rolando was very helpful and went above and beyond to help them find everything they needed. Sierra was also instrumental in getting it all ordered in a timely manner. I believe the parentals had a time constraint and the team was wonderful about making sure they would get their specs before they left to go on a trip. Driving. Where it's helpful to be able to see! The frames were all very stylie , which I appreciated as my parents are cool old hippies and as such should look the part!
