A business that helps people with their eye glasses is losing focus. I had an appointment for an exam to get new lenses for my sunglasses. My exam was conducted remotely. I knew this in advance. When my glasses arrived, the prescription was way off. I could not see correctly in my left eye. I returned for a new exam, this time, the Optometrist was in person. He apologized for the goof up, discovered my prescription was incorrect, and re-ordered new lenses. 7 days later, I called to ask if they were ready. A rep told me the lenses were there, but had to be fitted to my frame. Was told they'd be ready the next day. I called the next day, and was told again, the lenses were there, but needed to be placed in the frame. Ugg!!! 2 weeks without my sunglasses. Torture. She was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything about my eye exam and prescription. I never felt rushed, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure I understood my options and received the best care. What stood out most was her dedication--she even stayed late to make sure I was taken care of instead of asking me to come back another day. We bought $3000 of new glasses. Wife's pair developed cracks in the lenses after 4 months. Apparently we didn't buy insurance though it was never offered. Store refuses to do anything. Living on social security won't allow another pair. Wouldn't buy nothing from this place. read more

My wife and I had our annual eye exam, but this time it was a premium experience with the newer doctor we had. In the past our exams were soso...yesterday it seems they have gotten some new help and what a great job they did. Betty started us off with the pre-diagnostic equipment. She was pleasant and friendly throughout. After she finished a couple of minutes later we were greeted by the doctor who was a breath of fresh air. Friendly and thorough and explained everything in great detail. He did observe some problems not mentioned in previous examinations. Dr. Donald Ragan is probably the best doctor we have had since leaving our old state many years ago before I retired. He actually renewed my faith in going to an eye doctor again. I do hope they are able to keep him at the Lady Lake facility because if he leaves I will go to the web in search of his location.....a keeper for a doctor. Appointment for my teenage daughter at the beginning of July, 2024. Waited over an hour past our appointment time. The optometrist was rude and had zero patience with a teen who takes a little longer to make decisions and answer questions. The small talk he made was weird, inappropriate and was about us being "girlfriends" instead of mother/daughter. She did not feel that her prescription was correct and questioned him which set him off, throwing his hands up in the air saying "what do you want then? I'll write for whatever you want." I would have walked out after the hour wait but she was out of contacts and desperately needed a new prescription that day. She was in tears by the time we got to the car. I tried to take this up with Eyeglasses World but was sent an email stating that they do not staff their optometrist and I would have to take it up with that company. read more

Spent over $800 on glasses, no such thing as buy one get one! The really kicker is when you pick up your glasses there's no one that can adjust them! wth is that? HORRIBLE!!!!! They schedule your appointment, send 50000 texts and email reminders then make you sit and wait for an hour. The doctor got my perception wrong, when I went back, I had to make another appointment, wait another hour for him to tell me "I don't know whats wrong with you..here's a specialist." He was upset because his computer wasn't working properly, not sure why you would take that out on a patient! Go to a real eye doctor!!! don't waste time here!!!! read more

There was no wait to see the doctor and the lady at the desk was really nice, however the appointment felt rushed. The doctor went through the exam really quick and within the last 2 or 3 minutes of the appointment he offered that I had a diagnosis of Macular Degenration at 31 years old. He could not tell me the progression, or give me much information about why I had it at such a young age. I had to get a second opinion and pay more money to figure out what was happening. Do not go here for an exam, bring in your prescription and just get the glasses. read more

I had a great experience. They sent reminders to my phone. When I arrived, I had a short wait. The doctor was very kind and answered my few questions. I would say the only thing that could have made it a better visit is if they would have you pick frames when you can see when you first get there rather than, waiting until your eyes are so dilated that everything is blurry and you almost have a headache trying to focus on picking eyeglass frames. The frame I chose was not available and I was told I would need to wait three days and I got a call around that time to pick my glasses up and they had me try them on to make sure I was happy with them and I was. They send you 25 reminders about apointment and 45 minutes or more in waiting to see Dr. Poor way to run a business.

I had to wait over an hour after my scheduled appointment. The excuse given was that a husband and wife we here together, so even though my appointment was first they put one of them ahead of me. I am a patient person, but don't give me an appointment and then let others skip me. I did not have extra time to be flexible. read more

Five star service. I went into Eyeglass World in Lady Lake and was astounded by the great selection of low priced frames. I picked out my own frames and ordered 2 pair of lenses on their special. I expect to go back for more pairs for spares. At these prices I need sunglass spares for my car. read more

I was told glasses would be ready in 3 days. I called after a week and was told they weren't ready she would get an estimate of when and call me back. no call back. called again at 2 weeks and now the machine is broken and they're waiting for a part. poor communication and customer service read more
