My main & most time spent finding the right glasses & helping me decide with choosing the right features or benefits I can add to enhance my vision was with Janet. She's very accommodating & also helpful, knowledgeable & very patient, since it was my first time to choose with the features being presented. I would like to commend Karen as well on my previous visit who helped me as well, since I just did walked in to schedule my eye exam & assist me to take pics of frames I would consider prior to my eye exam date. First set of glasses had a problem, optometrist did incorrect prescription, went back in with corrected prescription and glasses were redone correctly! My only advice is use your own eye doctor! First set was prescribed by there optometrist and the first thing they did was try to up sell there tests to you. It appears that the eye doctor himself lied to me (thank goodness) because what he said to me scared me so I went to my own doctor who determined the prescription was incorrect and what he said that scared me,he told me I could go blind. Went in store at Trinity Parkway, Stockton. Had exam, purchased glasses $878.00. Wore about a month to get used to, bi-focal. Could not see clearly and made apt to discuss problem with manager. She basically said I needed more time to get used to because they were bi-focal. Over eight months and still can't see clearly 12 feet in front of me is blury, which was another issue. Her excuse was no glasses will be clear beyond 12 feet. No help at all. Just made me feel stupid. This makes me leary of any walk-in eyeglass store. read more

This is my first time here and honestly the experience has been phenomenal! I came here because they accepted the current (but very try temporary) eye insurance I have. They were able to get me in within 2 days and again everything has been seamless. Now the real reason this place is getting 5 stars is because of the man who helped me, BRANDON. Received my new glasses with the new prescription and once again it was incorrect. I'm so disappointed that I came on 2/27/23 for glasses and on this day 4/24/23 I still don't have any. It's a bit ridiculous and to top it off I'll get a refund by check in another two weeks. It has literally been a nightmare with this company. I haven't even stepped into this establishment and the people behind the phone have a snarky and less than compassionate attitude. First time I called seemed a bit sketch the way he answered questions, but I went ahead anyways and booked my appointment anyways giving them the benefit of doubt. They were persistent on telling me that I have to be knocking on the door at 8:50am when they open at 9 am and I am the first appointment or else I will get skipped and my appointment canceled. The day of they call me at 8:45am when I'm almost there to tell me that the dr had an family emergency and is closing all books for today. Seems sketch for a 3 day weekend, and day after a big game. I had my vision appointment on a Friday several weeks ago. They weren't ready for me at the appointed time so I had to wait. They told me they were short-staffed. Next excuse was that the computers weren't working right. Finally they did the test. They did not have lab staff to make them up, so they told me I could come back after 4PM the next day (Saturday) to pick them (two pair, one for reading one for driving). It's about a five hour round trip for me from my home to their shop, so I told them I would come in Monday to get them and they said that would be fine, any time after Saturday 4PM. So I arrived there Monday after another long drive, and they brought out one pair. They said they were not able to get the second (reading) pair ready. I was pissed. That meant I would have to do a THIRD five hour round trip to pick them up. The guy said I didn't have to come back to pick them up, they would send them to my home via UPS and I should have them by Thursday. I said OK and left with my one pair. Thursday came and went... no glasses. I called them but was put on hold for a long time and gave up. The second pair has still not arrived and it's been a couple weeks. This is a very disorganized operation, and I would never do business with them again. I would recommend you don't either. read more

Zero Stars: (severe lack of tact and customer service, poor quality product) At first, the experience was good: But read on: Bought 3 pairs Wednesday 2 pairs were to be ready Thursday after 5. Called ahead, one frame broke while installing lenses, they were out of stock on that pair, and they had ordered that frame to be sent from another store and it would be next week. Not an issue for me, things happen. The other set was ready. I drove the 45 ,minutes across the valley in the rain to pick them up. Got them, tried them on and was happy with the results and the look and fit. Thanked the staff and left. Went to my car and was enjoying seeing clearly for the first time in many years. Took them off, and a lens popped out (these are 1/2 rimless with filament retention for the bottom 1/2 of the lens). Not feeling good about the quality / or execution (Broke one set while assembling 2nd set fails in 5 minutes ) Returned to store, and was greeted pleasantly enough, and was told they'd address. It was addressed and shrugging off "that feeling" I left again. Went to the grocery store, and not wanting to get water spots on the new specs I tucked them in my shirt pocket. once inside, reached in to put on the new glasses..... and the same lens popped out!!! Returned to the store there were 2 staff (not the member that had been helping me yesterday and today) and 3 sets of customers. Thinking that it's just a flawed frame (2 flawed frames-- oh lucky me!?) but still optimistic I would just choose something similar in shape, with a full frame and life would be grand. Not so much: I enter, and am greeted "we'll be with you in a moment"preferring to stand, I'm in the foyer, and with Covid restrictions I can't enter the store proper till my temp has been taken, so I stand by the table, where the check is supposed to happen. I stand, and stand; the table is 10 feet from either employee. Seriously it takes 2 seconds to interrupt what you're doing (more on that later) to click a button and take my temp, a short pause in your conversation to inquire why I came in, no: after @ 5 min- Im told to "Sit in the chair" Which i know was not disinfected yesterday during the 1/2 hour I was there, nor did I observe any surface / chair desk being disinfected during my visit between customers ) Told to sit in the chair, I did. (I have disinfectant spray In the car and I'd spritz myself and my car seat, wipes in pocket.) I sit, and set the glasses on the table, it made a bit of noise. The one who had been interacting with me , was chatting merrily with the customer she was helping, and now decides to get into a conversation about "some customers just get so impatient" (all I had said was OK) Sorry that I'm inconveniencing you, and that I have been in the store 3 times in the last hour---- THAT gives you license to gossip about a customer- to another customer. This customer did not even make a purchase. -- Way to prioritize. I'm still waiting. That customer leaves, and she comes up and says "Now, what can I help you with" with an obvious negative attitude. I show the glasses are again broken. I state (at no point did i raise my voice) . "This is my 3rd visit to the store in 1.5 hours and the glasses have not been able to stay together. I WAS coming back to select another frame. Since you ignored me, and bad-mouthed me to another customer: I want a refund." She says "OK well wait a minute (?!!!) and I'll get back to you", and goes to serve another customer ???!!! :-( Other staff is assisting a customer (he had been there and saw me upon my earlier return visit (15 minutes ago). He completes with his customer walks by, and puts away his paperwork. Returns to his desk, and does not acknowledge me at all (reminder: he was there when I came back the 1st time and is 10 feet away and hear me request a refund. Yet, leaves me sitting unattended in the foyer. I wait a couple more minutes, and ask, "Could you process my refund please" He agrees. We discuss the situation, we discuss that I feel insulted and slighted by my treatment. I ask why he did not offer to help me, he says he has many things to do, as he is one of the managers, and has many duties to close the store. (so paperwork comes before customer service/sales?) He offers to give me the refund, and keep the glasses.I stated that I was not looking to get free stuff. I would have been happy to choose another frame, before I was: Ignored, treated rudely, and gossiped about. THEN ignored a second time- and walked away from, and had to ask for my refund twice? I got my full refund. In closing: the lenses were poorly finished on the edges and poorly secured in the frames. Massive Fail on customer service. Avoid. read more

They are so friendly especially Sam and Karen! I have been in a couple times the first time it was my daughters first experience getting glasses and they were so patient and extremely helpful! My son being the kind brother he is put the glasses in his pocket and they were not fitting right. At least they lasted 5 months! I called and they told me to bring them in and they replaced them on the spot! Sam made the process so easy! And Karen made an appointment for tomorrow so my daughter can try contacts!!! Tried them out for the first time...from start to finish (eye exam & lenses)they were VERY friendly, VERY accommodating and were VERY professional. They kept my appointment on time, eye exam went very well and while waiting on dialation, I was helped by Brandon, who catered to me (disabled) and brought the frames to me so I wouldn't struggle getting around the store. He also helped me, knowing what I was looking for in lenses, didn't try to hard sell me, and for what I paid for one pair of glasses at my optometrist, I left there with 2 pairs, definitely high quality glasses. This place is amazinf, all the staff are great but this one lady who was named Lola was very rude and disrespectful in a way. As soon as she told me to go look at glasses she took care of someone else while we were finishing up and walking to the desk. Me and my Mother waited for 10-15 minutes just for her to say "oh sorry that woman had an appointment". Me and my mom felt disrespected because she could've told us sooner. The young lady at the desk in the back was very helpful even though I did not have the correct information. Came here for an eye exam and to get some new glasses. Because of their extended hours (compared to other optometrist offices), they were able to see me the same day I called, which was great since another local office I had called prior to them, said they wouldn't be able to get me an appointment until a month out. The facility is huge (honestly, felt maybe a little unnecessarily huge?) but was very modern and well-kept. The technician was friendly, quick and courteous as was the doctor! Overall, a good experience service-wise. With that being said, you definitely get that big-box company feeling when coming here...which isn't necessarily bad...but the salespeople on the floor who are supposed to help you pick out frames after your exam remind me of my Best Buy sales days...they were definitely friendly enough, but I don't think I'd ever consider making them my regular optometrist. Their 2 pairs for $78 is also kind of a joke because the frames that qualify for this promotion are all kind of outdated (but that's just my opinion). I ended up purchasing some Ray Bans and they obviously did not qualify for their promo, but the sales lady said I could get another pair of frames for 1/2 off. I ultimately went with just the one pair and added on the non-glare layer and my total ended up coming to $344 with VSP insurance. They also promote an in-house lab (fine print says on select frames or something), so that you can get your glasses same day, but alas, this again did not apply to my Ray Bans, so they weren't ready for about a week (which was sooner than the estimated 2 weeks they quoted). Honestly, if I could do it over I'd probably avoid buying frames here and put my prescription in through Zenni. But that's not to say it wasn't convenient...just a lil pricey. read more

This place was great! I needed glasses to pass my eye exam and my glasses from a competitor had proven useless. The coating applied to deflect UV rays literally started peeling off in 3 weeks. I had waited three months, they'd lost, misplaced, or cancelled my order 3 times. My glasses were the 3rd choice because they apparently didn't have more than the original pair I'd picked. So I chose Eyeglass World. At first I hesitated thinking it sounded too commercial and if a chain how good would my prescription, options, or results be? I had very little time to choose an alternative so EW, it was. I made my appointment online. I was able to get in the next day. I was given a reminder call and asked if I had questions or needed directions. I was greeted by every employee. They had me in a sit filling out forms and seen by the Doctor in less than 15 minutes. The reviews I'd listened to en route to my appointment described the optometrist as less than qualified and inept. This was so opposite of my experience. She was so personable and kind! She explained each procedure and went over the results and showed me the interior view of my eye- which I have never seen. I was told my eye glasses (2pr) would be available the next day by 4:09pm. I was ready to be disappointed but they were ready earlier than the estimated time. They gave me a cute case, had no hidden charges, and most important were as friendly to me after I'd paid as they were when I walked in as a new potential customer. I've had many compliments on my frames and I've recommended Eyeglass World to several people since. read more

Unfortunately,this place was out of network for me. Dropped in on a Wednesday afternoon and was greeted by the friendly staff at Eyeglass World. They weren't very busy and were able to schedule me for an exam the same day. I didn't know if I wanted contact lenses or glasses but Veronica was willing to call my insurance for me to figure out which would be the best option based on coverage. It is during this time we find out that this place was out of network. :( They had a great deal going on, 2 glasses for the price of one (even designer) with exam included! Veronica even spruced up my current glasses so I wouldn't be uncomfortable while I found another option. ( the nose pads had come off mine). Talk about going above and beyond! I wasn't even a previous customer and they were willing to take care of me. She also offered 20% off since I was out of network! I would definitely go back to this place for service! read more

My experience at Eyeglass World was horrible. I had called to see if I needed an appointment and they said no, to come on in. When I got there they kept saying they would be right with me but every employee that walked by just kept saying that but never helped me. I almost left. Finally someone came over and I let her know I had my prescription already but wanted to browse glasses. When I selected glasses, it took a very long time again to get helped. The pricing was not as they advertise, it was very expensive. They told me one pair would be ready on Wednesday but the other pair in 2 weeks. I called to see if the Wednesday pair was ready and they passed me around on the phone for 37 minutes!! I just as someone was about to pass me off yet again, I said all I want to know is if my glasses are ready. Finally someone was able to tell me the one pair was ready. When I drove down there they couldn't find my glasses. Then awhile later they brought them out and I literally could not see out of one of the lenses. There was an issue when they were buffing them or something. They offered for me to take them anyway but I literally could not see out of the lens. They apologized and said a manager would call me the next day. No one ever called me. Several days after the 2nd pair were supposed to be ready I called down and again was put on hold for a very long time. Finally he told me both pairs were ready. I drove down and a lady helped me right when I walked in (the only reason I gave 2 stars). Do not go to this place. I feel they are overwhelmed and understaffed, unable to give good customer service. No one ever apologized fo all of my trouble. Expensive, not ready when they said they would be, they didn't care that I drove all the way across town after they assured me they were ready; just a nightmare. read more

I didn't have my most updated prescription but Brandon Torres went over information and I couldn't wait to come back to pick out some frames. I came back a week later and Roldean helped me and I was happy the process was simple and quick.
