I have used EyeMart Express on several occasions. They have a good check-in system, the clinicians are well versed in eye wear care. They are prompt, friendly professional and educated. They also take/work with several insurances so check your vision provisions on your policy. They file directly, saving the patient a mound of paperwork. The current manager Than is excellent. Called last week to ask a few questions about the process of making glasses eta and things like that was met on the phone with a girl who clealy sounded like i was wasting her time and told she will not tell me how long it takes so today i went in to see about hetting glasses in person and i immediately knew i was dealing with the same girl i asked can i get glasses made i have my prescriptionand inshurance she then pointed me to a wall of glasses and said go look at them and she disappeared i had questions about the frames and if they had certain ones in stock as there are alot of frames there and i was struggling to find the ones i like my customer service experience here was absolutely abysmal, not once but twice. And I do not believe any eyemart will be earning any of my business. In the future. I guess having the least expensive glasses means you're getting the cheapest. Possible customer service as well. My daughter needed new glasses, we had purchased from Sears in the past but they are no longer. Her eye doctor suggested Eyemart. We were greeted right away! Due to Covid we were advised to grab a tote and everything she touched or tried on were to be placed in the tote. They gave us time to browse and when ready Devon reviewed how this would work out... there was an issue with my insurance not his fault at all so he offered us a buy one get one deal. She was able to get a 2nd pair of glasses for 1/2 price. Her eyes are not the greatest her left is far more worse then her right eye so she needs progressive lenses. They came with the scratch resistance and glare. I also grabbed the additional protection. Devon was very friendly, personable and was wonderful with my daughter, he even was extremely honest when it came to his opinion of frames and even picked out the 2nd frame for her! I was rather impressed! So was my daughter! Used my FSA no problem for payment and I will guarantee when it is my turn for new glasses I will return! read more

I was looking for new eyeglasses since my prescription changed and my go-to (Lenscrafters) was closed due to the pandemic, so I went to Eyemart. This place was busy! I found the prices competitive! However, I would have loved to see a larger selection of sunglasses (even though they mentioned that all glasses can be made into sunglasses, I would have loved to see more of a sunglasses selection like other stores have!) Samantha was very kind and helpful and explained the whole process to me. My new eyeglasses were ready in a couple of hours! Side note: because the place was busy, there was a super rude and impatient customer in the store at the same time I was. This guy was getting mad at one of the employees for NO reason at all and was super rude. Joseph handled this irate customer like a pro and was very kind and courteous. Way to go, sir! read more

Karen at S.Portland store needs more training in frames. Either that or Eyemart Express was trying to harvest my Titanium frames. I arrived at opening, 2 folks before me. Karen looked passed me and gestured to a man that had just walked in, Really? Then gave me attitude when I asked to be helped 1st. She took my frames to the back lab and returned several minutes later ccx with my frames and an offer to replace my 200$ titanium wireless frames arms with PURPLE aluminum (?). Really??? When I LOL and said " You're kidding me, right?" She responded with " Hiw old are these, the warranty has probably expired " WHAT warranty?? I quickly reminded her of EE's lifetime warranty and repairs to frames and lenses. She snapped back " Wrll, this is the repairs we're offering. take it or leave it". I left it after demanding my glasses case she left in lab with her boys who also should be better trained in frames dept. read more

For starters, (not a karen i promise) I would LOVE to file a formal complaint with someone higher up. **Lack of customer service and support. Tried to get help by explaining why I like a specific frame, but essentially got ignored and was told that my disability was "super cool". Thanks employee "Mike .M."!!! i'm glad i'm "so cool". i just turned my back and continued to helplessly shop. Never assume a customer "is good" just because it looks like they are. Number one thing of customer service is to ask questions. I've been in retail management for four years now. Seems like employees need sensitivity training and customer support training. **No such thing as the "30 minute glasses" Mike promised. **Was informed that the "machine got 'messed up' and my lenses came out warped" so.... two tries, two hours, and $300 later.......... glasses are still messed up. (I like to think I was very patient and understanding since I don't actually know what happened behind the scenes) **It was discovered my focal point was not aligned properly as well. Again with the lack of service...... no one informed me that there were going to be issues with this because of the larger frame. so we ordered larger lenses to cut (another 70-80$) and added another two weeks to wait. **The closing employee seemed bothered that I wasn't going to leave until they were corrected. I was leaving the next day for ten weeks so I wouldn't have been able to come back :) however, he was helpful in explaining why the second time around was still not right (focal point issue). We measured new point. (fingers crossed because i'm over it at this point and was very hangry i just wanted to leave this miserable place) I understand I got "bargain glasses" that were made same day by a corporation. But that doesn't excuse the lack of attention by employees. If glasses aren't fixed when anti-glare lenses come in i'm doing a complete return and starting over at a professional eye doctor. I'm sure they know who I am now by this review. That being said, if this can all be resolved (in the 7-10 business days for lenses to come in) I'll take this down. But customers should know what they could be walking into. Even if it doesn't come close to what i experienced. read more

This is suppose to be a reasonable place to buy glasses, well that is not true! Maybe if you only want to wear glasses for fashion but if you need them to see forget this place! I purchased a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. It ended up costing me over 500.00 They are the very worse glasses I've ever worn! I called the store twice both times asking for the manager. Both times I was told she's busy. Then I went into the store and told them I think I got the wrong lenses. Instead of the man checking the lens he made an adjustment to the part that goes over the ears. I explained I've worn glasses for about 50 years and these are the worse I've ever had. He just looked at me and smiled. I said I'm very unhappy! Again he just kept looking at me. so many reasons! 1.glasses made incorrectly 2. when the technician helped me to choose glasses he failed to tell me that I picked frames too large so the field of vision was way off. 3. the second guy who discovered this told me to keep moving the practice card down until I could read it. I could see once the card was at my knees! He seemed to think that was my solution! Was I supposed to hold my computer at my knees to read the screen? 4. He then told me he'd get them re-done and to choose other frames (both for the sunglasses and regular glasses) which I did. He said they would be ready by 5:40 PM. I could not wait so he promised they would be mailed the next day (Oct 22). I live 1:45 minutes away. The glasses were not actually sent until today, October 26th. 5. When I called the store today to see when they were sent, the girl on the phone spoke to me in an inappropriate way, referring to me as "sweetheart." I am not in a personal intimate relationship with her. She therefore did not treat me with respect. What has happened to this store??? Never again. Disregard the ads for inexpensive glasses and two-for prices. Went in, told the "tech" i wanted polarized, progressive, prescription sunglasses. Told him 3 times. After finally selecting frames to accommodate the progressives the lens process began. And again i told him sunglasses. $249 later out the door i go to wait. 2 hours later i get the text, glasses ready. Went back to get them, not sunglasses. The person working checked the order and told me they couldn't polarize that lens type, but did go ahead and say they would have to charge me an extra $60 to tint them and polarize. No thank you. Add to that the expense of driving 60 miles round trip and my afternoon was complete. If you still devide to try them I wish you luck. read more

I went to this eye glasses place because it was right next to the eye doctor I saw. However their service is awful. Each interaction with a client takes no less than 40 minutes because the workers are constantly trying to upsale and get people to purchase more expensive and extra frames. Tonight I watched one woman spend over an hour just chatting and occasionally helping a woman try on glasses while there was a significant line. The sales reps also have a hard time accepting no even when the customers say what they want they continue to push and try to upsale even when the customer is visible frustrated. They claim their lenses are the lowest price however most of their lenses are available from other retailers for 30-50$ less. read more

Purchased two pairs of glasses. Frames and lenses cheap quality. Frames finally broke after two years. Screw threads were stripped. Told employee and suggested he insert screw with larger threads. Employee only screwed it back in; I could have done that. Plastic lenses in second pair cracked while sitting in night stand and never used. They would NOT replace as prescription was out-of-date. Love the prices and fast service. The place was soo busy on this saturday, yet I was helped quickly. I tried on 40 different frames before I picked out the perfect pair for me. The girl talked to me about the different options for the lens and all the pricing. I was lucky enough to use a coupon and got any pair of frames for 40$. They even included a free glasses case. It was my first time visiting Eyemart. The staff were super friendly and helpful! The frames are super cheap and affordable! I told Brian the gentleman that helped me my dilemma. I have a toddler child who somehow has broken my last five pairs of glasses LOL I ended up with two pairs of glasses (and lenses) for under $150 which to me is a steal as for The business I used to get my glasses was $100 for the cheapest frames. I was very honest with them and told them I was just looking for a cheap set of glasses and Brian was so helpful. He didn't pressure me into buying more expensive frames(which they do carry) and gave me great recommendations for my price range. I was told both sets of my glasses would be no longer than an hour to pickup. Both pairs of glasses were ready in 17 minutes. Can't really beat the selection of frames, prices, or wait times. Also they guarantee all of their frames and have a 30 day exchange policy. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back if I'm in need of a new pair. read more

Bait and switch into technique. They say two pair of progressives for under $80. They quoted me lenses alone for two pair $700 and then need to add on the two frames that range from 29 to $200. Their ads are misleading and their quality, from everyone else I've talked to, is cheap and not good. read more

The wait wasn't too bad to be seen by someone. The prices were reasonable but about the same as anywhere else - WalMart etc. However very little was available for same day pick-up. It takes 1 1/2 to 2 weeks for your glasses to come in. Their ad says 100s of frames available for pick up in about an hour. There were no where near that amount - in fact what they had for one day pick up was very little and of poor quality and design. read more

Have gone to Lenscrafters for 30 years and made huge mistake of thinking I'd d try Eyemart, based on their ads, high are extremely misleading. Ordered a pair of progressive glasses which took a week to come in...and then the prescription was completely wrong! The guy who originally helped me hadThe technician who helped me at this point said the measurements taken were wrong, he remeasured and told me he would put a Rush on the order. A week later the glasses still weren't in and I was told it would be another 5 days...and this was supposedly a Rush order! At that point I cancelled the order, went back to Lenscrafters and got a beautiful pair of glasses in one hour. The manager at Eyemart told me they had a change in management, were grossly understaffed, and backed up. Everything about the place felt shabby, chaotic, and unprofessional. I was told the money would go back on my credit card that day, and that he would eMail me a receipt when he hung up. Now, 6 days later, no receipt and no money credited to my medical reimbursement credit card. I was just told a check would be mailed from their corporate headquarters! Very poor service but Chelsea. After signing in, noticed someone was called up for service who arrived after me. When I spoke up, Chelsea went back to the sign up sheet acknowledged that I had arrived first and signed up before the customer was about to serve but instead of taking me dismissed me and said she would be with me "in a few minutes". Twenty minutes later, Chris took me and served me well. Chelsea seems to be a ditz which is fine, but a retraining might be in order. read more

The televisions commercials crack me up! When you go into the South Portland store, they won't even answer a question or acknowledge you except to say, "sign in". The list usually is 10 deep. When it is finally your turn, the employees are rude and rush you. I would not go back if they were giving away glasses! read more

I took my prescription to Eyemart in Auburn. I picked up my glasses 10 days later. Not a single person told me that they were men's glasses missed placed in the women's section. The nose piece was too wide and could not be adjusted after the lenses were put in. I pick them up and no one fitted me for them. They just handed the glasses to me. I got home and could not see at all out of the bottom part of the bifocal. They blamed my eye doctor. I went to my eye doctor and he checked my prescription with my eyes again... Same as the paper prescription. I went back to Eyemart and while waiting in line there were actually three people who came in and said they could not see out of their brand new glasses either. These are untrained unprofessional people they dragged in off the street who do not know what the heck they are doing. Also, no one told me I was being charged $50 for a warranty. If you think your eye doctor is too expensive... Think again. $400 for a pair of glasses that don't work. read more

Worst customer service ever! Waited an hour and a half, even after I signed in. They kept taking people who came in after me and when I complained they said 'oh, well one of our associates is just calling for those who are picking up.' I'm sorry, when you have a waiting area full of people, you take them first come first serve. As it was, each pick up took at least 15-20 minutes because of adjustments, tests, paperwork, etc, and nobody who worked there seemed to have any sense of urgency. Nobody checked in with me at all. When it was finally my turn, all I wanted was to have a scratch buffed out, but she simply said oh we don't do that, without even asking to look at my glasses to asses. And since my glasses were purchased there, but out of warranty, I'm sh*t out of luck, and need to buy new lenses now. I made it clear that I will be taking my business elsewhere and will never take my business there again. read more
