Totally a customer service problem here. Unprofessional, I witnessed a bad mouthing a customer after they left, to another customer... Passive/aggressive attitude from another... Might be time to either retrain, or clean house. They were through the motions with a hint of disdain that they were having to be present in the setting. I had plenty of time, about an hour, to quietly observe these actions. I did not buy glasses there, as they were unable to fulfill the job. Absolutely shocking on how this Store is still open. I called to ask if they accepted walk-ins or if I needed to schedule an appointment. Gayle was very unprofessional, was highly aggravated I was even calling, stated they are to busy, and the Doctor was leaving early. They do not welcome anyone to be honest. They advertise one hour glasses but yet you can never get in, if you do expect to be treated rude, and as if your a bother. The moment I walked in I was greeted! My eye exam went quick, and with in 30 mins I was picking out new frames! Emma took the time,didn't rush the process. She had great knowledge with each frame I picked out. I would for sure recommend Eyemart! Thank you so much Emma I love my glasses! read more

We have used Eyemart Express for many years and have always been very satisfied with their glasses as well as their service. Recently my wife and I made our annual visit. We bought several pairs and as before we were very pleased with the selection and quality. This year we were waited on by a young lady named Brooke. She was excellent. We have never had such thorough professional service. Her customer service skills are to be commended. Brooke projects the image that Eyemart expects. I had an appointment for exam today. When I entered the store today, they were not busy. I was not greeted but I went to the exam area. Exam went fine but I wanted new glasses too. I was put on list, waited quite awhile while not busy, then a man helped me. I told him exactually what I was looking for and asked for help, I am disabled and have trouble moving. he would not help. He said there are the frames, look. I had questions but he was not available. I sat at his desk and waited but he was gone. I was told he was in lab office on phone. he will be right out. No show He was rude, short and not helpful. I told him I had a coupon and he said he did not have any, which was a lie, and ignored me. I went to desk and said I was not waiting any longer, employees were not waiting on customers, visiting but I sat. I left. Went to another store and ordered 2 pair of glasses. I won't be back, I had done business for years and years but not now. read more

I had to wait twice as long for my glasses because they put my prescription in wrong. When I went to pick up my glasses after 3 hours they were so blurry. They figured out they were the wrong prescription. So I got to wait another hour for my glasses then wait forever once I got there to get my glasses. This was my first time here and not impressed. If I could give this business zero stars I would. I arrived early for my 12:20 eye exam appointment there was one customer ahead of me so I maintained six feet from the counter. When the employee ask how she could help me I gave her my name and told her that I had a 12:20 eye exam appointment. She turns her head toward a waiting area and told me to "wait over there". I went to the waiting area and sat down. After waiting for .30 minutes and not seeing any customers entering or leaving I asked another employee who'd walked pass me several times if the doctor was even in today, she replied yes and kept walking. Two minutes later another employee approach and asked me what time was my appointment I told her it was for 12:20 she tells me she didn't know that I had arrived , I should've gone up to a window, that was closed tight and let another employee know that I was waiting. She then tells me that the doctor was gone out for lunch until 2:00 if I would be able to come back. It's now closed to 1:00, I've sat in your waiting area for close to .40min, wearing a bright orange rain jacket, while every employee in the business walked pass me, none concerned about "the customer". Wasted time... NO, I DID NOT GO BACK at 2:00 MY TIME IS JUST AS VALUABLE AS THE DOCTOR BLM. read more

They send out texts, stating that your glasses are ready, but when you get there, they are not. They messed up my script and I had to return my glasses. Upon checking the difference between the old and the new script, the old one is clearer, meaning I wasted three trips (yes 3), over $100, and time. The waiting time for glasses pick up was exorbitant, over 40 minutes the first time! Numerous people were waiting just as long and even longer. Ridiculous! I'm not even going back to have my old lenses put back in frames! read more

Eye mart has tons of frames to choose from for kids- which was difficult to find anywhere else that I had been to. Four stars instead of five because I've noticed that if you happen to go in the evening or on the weekends, staff tend to be less well trained on how to handle insurance and they tend to be understaffed more frequently- to the point where I've walked out and come back during the day on a week day. Even when they were slammed and didn't have the training they clearly needed to process our insurance, staff have always been very kind, polite, and helpful and we've always been very pleased with the glasses that we've gotten. read more

We were in the Springfield, Il store on 09/05/2019 and ordered glasses. Told they would be done in 2 hours. After four hours finally received the glasses. When we got in the car my wife said they had marks on them, I assumed it was dirt. Got home and both lens had skuff marks right in the line of sight. And one lens has swirl marks in the upper corner. The lab tech was by himself it seems that day (week?) and was rushing to complete our order. Apparently quality went out the door that day. Very upset and will not return, Wish we had went to the Champagne store as we live in the Decatur area. Update: I called customer service and told them my story. The store manager (Amy) is supposed to call me but hasn't responded. read more

I have used eyemart express for a few years now. The glasses work fine. The prices are extremely inexpensive. Yes the 2 pair of progressives for $79 are the bottom of the barrel quality wise. But they are more than adequate for my needs. read more

This place was a very nice place for me and my family. Glasses are cheap, prices are cheap, and even extended warranties beyond compare. However, with such a great company I expected a great staff to follow. I was horribly wrong. I stood at the counter in front of the manager to pick up contact lenses. She NEVER once looked up to check on us, NEVER looked up to ask what she could do, she IGNORED us for atleast 30 minutes until we finally sat down and then waited until we were the last ones to hand us a box of contacts. The MANAGER did this to me and my family. I will never go back because the service here is rude, ignorant, and excuse my French but bitchy. You get what you pay for, I guess. Glasses are cheap up front but you get what you pay for. Warranty was out by 3 days on the frame and they would honor the scratch protection even though I bought new lenses in Oct. 2018. Lenses should be covered for 1 year for scratch resistant. read more

The absolute ONLY reason I am giving this business a 3/5 rating is because the eye doctors are awesome. I went in there today to get glasses because they were cheaper than the other eye doctor I went to and the lady that helped me went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. While waiting for the other eye doctor to fax over my prescription, I noticed a worker in there, short brown/black hair, very tiny, older, and she had a braid in, unfortunately I did not catch her name which I wish I would have, being extremely rude to customers I'm not only in person, but when answering the phone as well. I just let it go because it was not my business. Fast forward to about 10 minutes ago, I went in to pick up my glasses and I walked in to the same lady sitting with an older lady being very unprofessional about her prescription being expired and saying there was nothing she could do for her. (Much more rude than it sounds). The older lady claimed she could not see to drive and was diabetic. She later walked out crying. I then, kept observing her still complaining about her job, saying she wanted to walk out, etc. OPENLY to customers. She THEN proceeded to greet a customer when they walked in and they said they were going to the back, and after the customer went to the actual eye doctor portion of the building, the worker says, very loudly, "I hope she gets Covid". Needless to say, I will be contacting the manager tomorrow because this is 100% uncalled for and this lady deserves to complain about her job, and others elsewhere. read more

I waited for over a week before writing this review because I wanted to have a more level thought process before writing a review. My daughter and I have been customers for years, but after her last appointment we will be purchasing glasses elsewhere. The optometrist was/is awesome and that is not where my disappointment lies. We were purchasing glasses and were put in the list to have a staff member call us to proceed. We waited a very long time and saw many people helped who's name was after ours. Frustrating, but not a deal breaker. We finally got our turn and apparently training does not include breaking down costs or communication on buying two pairs vs one pair like before. A very long story short one pair of glasses and exam (cheaper frames) was more than we paid for two pair of glasses last year. I questioned the price and was told I was charged the higher exam fee and that was a mistake. A credit for the difference was given, but honestly I could have gone to my local optometrist and gotten the same deal. The reason we have always used Eye Mart Express was the welcoming staff, selection and price. All we recently experienced was unhappy staff and higher prices. I do not need to drive 45 minutes for this kind of service! read more

The eyeglasses are about what you'd expect for the price point. The employees screwed up one pair by mis-drilling the holes for the rimless frame. Those glasses would have to be re-done. The manager, Amy, told me that she would personally deliver the glasses to my house since I live a distance away from the store and she lives in my hometown just a couple of blocks from my house to save me another drive over. Amy was a no show. I drove over today to get the glasses. Amy said she didn't work yesterday....but that was after her employee told me that she did work yesterday. Sooooo.....there's plenty of other places to buy glasses. I'd suggest you go elsewhere. read more
