I needed an eye exam for my driver's license renewal. I walked into Ardsley Eye Care and was met with smiling faces and a very kind staff. They were able to fit me in for an exam and I met Dr. Wolfe. Wow! The nicest man possible. He gave me a thorough exam and filled out the necessary DMV form - which was then sent electronically to them. (All that was left for me to do was renew/pay for my actual license from my computer at home. The eye exam portion was already being sent by Ardsley Eye Care for me.) The BEST part of the day was when I got home and told my wife about the pleasant and capable care I received with Dr. Wolfe and his staff. She DOES have all sorts of eye care needs...glasses, contact lenses, and regular visits to monitor for her cataracts and potential glaucoma. She has been looking for a new practice for her exams since the existing one has a couple of doctors who are ready to retire. She will be calling Dr. Wolfe's office shortly it make an appointment. This abysmal treatment has cost the company two customers. After posting this negative review, I received two phone calls from the optician explaining his paranoia with Covid-19 despite precautions taken in the store. And it was my best decision. They have the best collection of glasses with modern and light design. Justin is incredible. Best experience I have ever had getting an eye exam and purchasing glasses. And the turn around was very quick, I received my glasses in way less then the suggested 10 days. My favorite part of the experience was waiting to be seen and indulging in the small collection of records and playing them on turntable that was on the floor. So much fun! read more

We all discussed my frames at length, particularly a distinctive color on the inside of the frame. I ended up ordering the eyeglasses from that brand anyway because I did like the frames. The assistant manager said it would take 2 weeks to get them in and that they would call me. I went in today after receiving the call a few days ago that the glasses were in. I saw the frames and tried them on and immediately noticed that they were different than the ones I ordered, namely the distinctive color was absent. The assistant manager insisted they are the correct frame as she "wrote it down" and could not recall any frame matching my description. I insisted and suggested calling Garth to ask. I said in the meanwhile, I would like a refund since I have over $350 sitting with you and now we don't even know which frame it is that I wanted. She told me she cannot issue a refund for several reasons and that they would "figure it out." I insisted again and she went to the back office to call someone who confirmed to her that there are in fact frames matching my description and the frames they were giving me were wrong. I again insisted on a refund while I wait to see the correct frames before placing another order. She refused again and went to the back office. A few minutes later, she returned stating that she will give me the refund but that the store "cannot service me again." After a mistake by a store employee, a refusal to make me whole after confirming it was their error, and an eventual reluctant refund, the assistant manager thought it was appropriate to refuse me future service! Completely unprofessional attitude and sloppy service.

After the initial response by the shop, I received a text from Anna, who sold me the frames, etc. She asked which pair was damaged (I had bought more than one) and told me she would order new lenses first thing Monday morning. I would be able to come in on Tuesday morning, and the lenses would be replaced. I have always been very happy with Eye Gallery, but this level of service is virtually unheard of.
