I really enjoyed this store because it is clear that the art aspect of miniatures is so appreciated here. They also have a ton of higher-end miniatures here, specifically furniture. Maria is not only an amazing human being, but she is an exceptional business woman and owner. She has a great sense of style and her vision is unique and contagious. We first met her in Hastings and have continued our patronage in Larchmont after she moved from Hastings. The inventory is curated with a specific style in mind, but you can still find something for everyone when looking for gifts. This, in my opinion, is truly wonderful because I can get things for my home and for others without having to go to a big store. My current obsession is the Cote Bougie line of Candles (Dates Scent), but we own everything from towels, soap holders and wood bowls to oils, baskets and ceramics. We believe in shopping small and supporting hard-working and genuinely good people like Maria. The other people leaving bad reviews probably did not deal with her directly, so don't get discouraged. But I encountered there website and they listed as "in-stock" General Hydroponics WaterFarm "Kits", which seem to out-of-stock everywhere else. So I created an account, and I ordered 50 of them (a little over 500 bucks). My experience with Simply Hydro was ridiculous... 1. The website listed the kits as "in-stock'. In reality, they didn't have any. 2. A day after forking over my 500 bucks, they finally got around to telling me they're unavailable, on back order, at least a month out, and...would I like to wait or get a refund? 3. I immediately selected a refund and I sent them 2 messages. But I received no Paypal refund and no response. 4. I lost patience and I was forced to open a dispute with Paypal to get their attention and to get my money back. 6. Five (5) days after my initial order, these guys still have the "kits" listed as "in-stock" on their website (see photo). Lazy. This a bad way to run the on-line business. Hydroponic growing has now gone main-stream. You can order all of this stuff from Amazon, Ebay, and even Walmart dot com. The days of small specialty grow shops (like this) with snobby employees, slow service, crappy customer relations, and inflated prices are coming to an end. The big boys that have their act together will send them the way of the dinosaurs. Avoid ordering anything on-line from these people. Thumbs down! P.S. By only changing the water often enough to keep it fresh, the flowers lasted NEARLY 4 weeks and we are not kidding. These were sent to us by a friend in NYC (we live in Westchester), who just took a stab on the internet. What luck. Will definitely use them and recommend them going forward.
