Christina and Dr. Nicole went above and beyond in helping me with my request regarding lensometer testing for my sunglasses that were purchased from private parties whose knowledge of both sunglasses and their lenses were limited. I went into Eyesite Optometric Group with the question: how good are my sunglasses at UV protection (from the sun) and Blue-Violet light protection (from electronic devices with screens)? With their on site lensometer, they were able to precisely and accurately determine that my Chrome Hearts Bubba-A sunglasses had 100% UV protection and 91% blue-violet light protection, both excellent scores. My Jacques Marie Mage Benson sunglasses, meanwhile, scored lower--90% UV protection and 51% blue-violet light protection. I am grateful to Eyesite Optometric Group for their willingness to test my sunglasses, at no cost to me, to give me the assurance I needed for knowing the extent by which my sunglasses performed in protecting my eyes from harm. I went into Eyesite because another optician had difficulty filling my prescription properly. My wife recommended Eyesite after they gave her a full exam and filled two glasses prescriptions. After 20 minutes, they confidently took my prescription, measured the glasses on my face, and told me it would be 7-10 business days. In only a week, they called me. I really liked the doctors here but took my kids in for an exam which was great, but they didn't like any of the glasses available which was where this took a turn. I got a print out of their script and tried to order online at a popular glasses company. I needed another measurement because she is 10. A measurement that every other eye doctor has given us with our exam. Turns out Eyesite will only do that if you order their glasses, or else I have to go back in and pay more money. He's always at the forefront of the latest and best technologies, and the extremely high level of efficiency and service I've received over these decades has earned my complete trust, and loyalty. I've referred many many clients to The Eyesite, and enthusiastically continue to support this locally owned and operated small business. Our visit yesterday was extremely pleasant, as always. They're conveniently located, with easy parking, very efficient online experience, and the staff expertly navigated my insurance, and maximized my benefits! On this visit, I selected some gorgeous frames for myself and my spouse.....with the expert guidance of Dr. Super's wife and knowledgeable sales staff. They've got all the latest styles, in all price ranges, and our new Designer frames will certainly highlight my baby blues! You are 1000% better off going to ANY lenscrafters location over this place. A BASIC & ROUTINE EYE EXAME AT EYESITE COSTS UPWARDS OF $1000.00!!! FOR A SYNOPSIS of my awful experience: Skip to points 5, 7 & 8. The associates who work here are extremely unprofessional and will not give you any information of costs until AFTER they've ran your insurance dry. I'll list my detailed experience below, but sadly I realized this all after they bamboozled me. I am a local and wanted to support a local business, sadly I was dismayed and feel so horribly taken care of as a customer. I am very upset with this business practice and completely regret not going to the lenscrafters by the promenade, as I have for 10+ years. Here is a list of my awful experience at EYESITE below: 1. I had sent my insurance information after contacting them by phone to inquire about coverage. The young associate on the phone assured me my VSP coverage would suffice. (I have the highest level of VSP as my eyesite is very important to me) 2. Upon arrival, I found that the lights were off and music was blasting. I thought it was odd but decided I was already there &would give it a go as I had driven from the DTLA to support a local business in my childhood neighborhood... 3. The tools for the initial tests were not wiped, I had to again ask another young associate to wipe them in front of me. 4. I was extremely uncomfortable as the tools & machinery for the eye exam were not adjusted at all, after being cleaned. I struggled to reach my chin to the appropriate are. I asked numerous times if she would adjust the machine, the associate reluctantly asked that I just try harder... Meanwhile the music was continuously blasting, making any eye-related focus an extra difficult task. This only added the unprofessional environment. By this time, the doctor had perhaps sensed some of the shortcomings and at least bothered to turn the lights of the office on. 5. THIS PART WAS ONE OF THE FIRST MOST OFFENSIVE THINGS THAT HAPPENED... when it came time to take photos of the back of my pupils, the young associate again refused to adjust the chair or the machinery to create a comfortable setting for my eyes to properly reach the machine. Instead, she came over behind me AND CONTINUOUSLY SHOVED MY HEAD UNTIL SHE GOT THE SHOT. I was stunned and could not believe the literal physical torture I was experiencing. I wanted to get up and leave right then, but felt so bad that the associates are so awfully trained. I toughed it out hoping things would get better... still traumatized from her physical force... 6. The optometrist himself was extremely "meh" in regards to care and service. No new information or even updates to me vision...and again, not worth $1000 for his time. 7. I had hoped to be able to leave with new contacts considering my nearsighted eyesite is pretty basic and ALWAYS in stock. I took the optometrist's advice and opted for the more expensive contact option. No big deal here except what I found out NEXT... 8. This establishment charged me $120 to expedite a package they had in their stockroom while I was there. They sent it to me posted the same hour I had been there. Instead of literally handing me the contacts, they actually just stayed committed to their practice of highway robbery... I found this out when the package arrived to my door the next day with all the information on the printing slip. 9. I have tried numerous times to flag these concerns to the business via email and phone calls. I do not want to sabotage a business publicly with my HORRIBLE experience but it seems like as long as they make you and your insurance pay a ridiculous fee -- Eyesite really gives no care to customer service. I understand some customers are happy to fork over a ridiculous fee for a BASIC eye exam, but the business has a responsibility to inform the customer of the amount insurance and out-of-pocket costs are PRIOR to the exam. read more

Dr. Super and Sheri are awesome always very kind. I've been going since 2018. They are now under new ownership and two of the frames I've purchased from them before the new ownership were manhandled and ruined when I had them filled with my new prescription recently which took close to two months. Let it be known these frames are metal and marketed as practically indestructible. One pair of frames the acetate was cut in multiple places when I got them back. They said they would look for a replacement pair then time went by and they swept it under the rug. Now my second pair which is metal was snapped at the temple likely because the pressure applied when they were cutting and filling the new lenses. I spent over $2k on the frames (I've purchased from them) and lenses only to be left with no help as they no longer can purchase new frames because they are under new ownership. I was offered 40% frames. That doesn't include the lenses that I would have to get so I can see! Ridiculous and sad. It was better as a family owned business. Now they just don't care. read more

After making an appointment, which took quite some time, I was given a morning appointment during Covid. After repeatedly being told to wait "10 more minutes", I ended up sitting in a cramped small room for over an hour. Paul Super came out to tell me how difficult it has been dealing with the stress of Covid with no apologies for making me wait in a cramped room with zero air flow, with no end in sight for my delayed appointment. And I was a long time patient. Don't waste your time at this place. After waiting patiently for over an hour, I got yelled at with no follow up call of apology. How nice is that? This place is horrible. Run away from this place. Sherry is a rude, unprofessional with a nasty attitude. She won't let you talk, says "it's not my problem" "I don't care" and hangs up the phone. She has a terrible attitude. That's disgusting. It's been a month and a half and all they need to do is to give me a replacement for the $700 drop that dr prescribed. I called 6 times; each time they said they would call me back. They never did. I also canceled my follow-up appointment 3 times and they didn't do it. This place is horrible. Then along comes Sherry, with her nasty attitude, telling me you should understand we are going through a transition. That's not our problem. You charge over $250 for an appointment. Long story short it was discovered that EYESITE was misled by their sales rep (who also was unaware) that Acuve had changed rebate terms and amounts for re-purchasers like myself. Melinda, the manager, spoke with me nearly everyday for a week updating me on the status of all this. She was really fighting hard on my behalf to get me what was promised and in the end she delivered! They're extremely thorough and caring and always make sure my eyeballs are comfortable. :) Everyone at the EyeSite is very friendly and in the past 3 years I've never had a bad experience. This past December I actually had two emergencies and both times they were able to squeeze me in the same day. This past Monday I went in to get new prescription glasses, they told me to wait 7 to 10 business days but I ended up getting my glasses 2 days later. I went to this place last year for an eye exam and renewal on my contact prescription. What I normally pay $35 for an exam and contacts turned out to be $300 at this place. The even charged me $100 for me to put on my contacts and called it a "fitting" I've been wearing the same kind of contacts for 10 years, why would they ask me to put on my contacts? This is the first time an optometrist asked me to put on my contacts and charge me a fee for them! This place will find any excuse to charge you a fee. Mind you, this is including my eye insurance! This year I went to another optometrist and only had to pay $35 for an exam, 3 boxes of contacts, and they put my trial contacts on me without a charge with my insurance. I found them very overpriced and I truly felt scammed. Their customer service wasn't that great either. They kept pushing me to buy more contacts from them and seemed rude to me for denying them. read more

I cannot describe the efficiency, caring attention, and assistance of Cristina. Doctor Paul Super is the most professional and kind optometrist I have ever seen, given that I have lived in 4 countries and had always had vision issues. Eyesite has all the high tech equipment to examine my eyes without uncomfortable pupil dilation and they also have an app where I have had consultations from home. Excellent customer service and an all around great experience. I came in knowing which frames I wanted but was highly skeptical for fear of being overcharged. If you have insurance the lens price and discounts should be the same no matter where you go. Also, to my surprise, my Tom Ford glasses were actually less expensive than where I'd previously found them on Montana! Only by $20 but I'll take it! What will keep me coming back is the staff. They were patient (even though I knew what I wanted I had to try on 20 pairs to be sure) and so sweet to my dog. Positive attitudes all around and my glasses were ready in just a few days, way before the estimated 7-10 day waiting period. One of the Best Dr. I have encountered in my life. Explained every aspect of my eye and treatment in detail. Great listener - very patient. Took his time to do it right. He was able to complete tests no other Dr could conduct on my eyes in the past due to a very strong eye reflex. Outstanding Dr. I was basicly a walk in because my last Eye exam was a disaster. So I have no relation or bias. Those people who left negative reviews seem upset about COVID issues and are most likely the problem.
