Do NOT go here. She does not know what she's doing. I went two years ago and was told I had dry eyes and needed glasses. I went to an actual doctor and went down a process of being diagnosed with something that is life changing and I can't even imagine what would have happened if I listened to her. So let's forget missing an incurable diagnosis. They wouldn't give me my prescription until I went back and INSISTED. They held it hostage to try and make you buy their over expensive glasses. Also. I don't need glasses, still 20/20. Avoid. I cannot explain how serious the mistakes made here were. read more

Reyna, was the person who responded to a text message and I communicated with over a 48 hour window. I inquired about a specific frame I was interested in getting a price on. She indicated that they would get back to me with a price and she did . However, she indicated that I would need to put a deposit of $100, which I did in good faith. She attempted to review my insurance to get a confirmed price for the frames with lenses. Unfortunately, the previous Optometrist that examined my eyes was still in the account. Thus, she was unable to confirm what the "actual" costs would be for the frames and lenses. Simultaneously, I contacted another optometrist in the VSP network that also advertised that they carried the frames I was interested in. Subsequently, I decided to go with the other optometrist, which I informed Reyna of within a 48-hour window of my initial text inquiry and requested that the $100 deposit be returned to credit card. A week went by with no return of the the deposit, I called and spoke with someone by the name of Katherine/Catherine (sp?). She indicated that Reyna wasn't in the office, but that she would convey the message to return the $100 deposit. Another week went by with no return of the deposit. I called and was able to speak with Reyna who indicated to me that she'd spoken to her manager who indicated that they could only return $70 of the $100 deposit due to shipping costs. I indicated that I hadn't actually ordered anything and that they had no reason to incur shipping costs. She proceed to engage in her reasoning, and I said I wouldn't go back and forth on the issue and to please return the $100 deposit and if it wasn't all returned, I would dispute the charge. Reyna hung up the phone. I waited another week and filed a dispute with the credit card company. I found this entire experience to be totally unnecessary and unprofessional. In fact, I have never in my entire life had an attempt to extort monies not owed to a vendor. Not sure about the reasoning of the behavior, but let this be a warning. This is one of the best Doctor's offices I have EVER been to. The staff was incredibly nice and extremely helpful - which is hard to find in the LA area. I enjoyed going to dr. G, but the girl at the front desk was kind of pushy. I came in to get a contacts exam since I have not had any previously, and dr. G knew it but after the exam before testing out how to put on contacts, the front desk girl was trying to up sell me on more items, (I'll assume it's also with good intentions) she was trying to sell me glasses but I already have 3 pairs with 1 that is new from previous year that I Never wore but prescription is still the same. I politely told her I'm okay and that I have many pairs but said said I would save more I'd paid for my contacts out of pocket and use my insurance to pay for glasses. I said, no thanks, I came in to use my insurance to purchase contacts and then she turned kind of rude after. Hope she will learn to take "no" better in the future. Really liked working with Dr. and the other front desk person, but no one wants to be pressured into buying stuff they already politely declined. Hope I don't have to feel this way again. Very awkward and made me feel uncomfortable which is unfortunate. read more
