Great experience w/ Dr. Chan and team! Went for an annual eye exam today and everyone couldn't be more professional and friendly. I've went to a few different Optometry places in the past, and Eyevista is still my favorite. They use state of the art technologies and Dr.Chan is extremely knowledgeable and I feel I can fully entrust him with health of my eyes. Doctor was very informative. But after they pass my prescription to the salesperson, the sales person recommended me these tops of the line lens astigmatism which cost me $280.00. It did nothing for my astigmatism. These lens are for computers which are for blue light not white lights which I need for when I'm driving. Didn't want to give a refund. Great Service! I had a desire for a particular brand (Zero-Gs) and model which Eyevista was able to attain for me with ease. After a quick discussion about payment and timeframes for delivery, I made a deposit and within two weeks I had new glasses, exactly how I wanted them. Picking up my glasses were just as easy. This is my third year coming to Dr. Chan for my annual contacts exam. The staff is helpful and will tell me what is covered under my insurance as well as different options for lens and frames. I had also bought a pair of frames from here last year, I remember taking awhile to choose a frame that fit within my budget and my liking, the staff member was patient and helped me the entire time. Dr Chan is professional and knowledgeable, I can freely ask questions and have no problem with my prescriptions after I get them. 7/20/17: Dr. Chan spent the last hour of his day following up on my eye condition which had subsided substantially. He was more forthcoming with his concern unlike 4 days ago when I'd first came stumbling, bumbling in with my swollen, tear & pressure- filled, super light sensitive infection, blabbering like a crazy person. What a guy. He played it all down because obviously I was already delirious without any outside help. He warned me to take great care from now on. Because I didn't have to pay this great a price. Seriously. We laughed on my account, joked, and he educated me more about different ulcers, my "worst case scenario" and how overmedicating my eye was not helping it. I can't praise this OD enough- as a person or as a professional. Jack deserves 10 stars but yelp only gives 5... so it's only befitting to review his practice 3-4 times. I didn't even get to the best part. After my visit, Jack had Alex help me look for a lighter, stylish frame. Bad move. You never want to help an insatiable, self-appointed style maven like me. Never. And near closing time? You must be out of your mind. I honestly think the bubble teas Jack and Alex had earlier were not bubble teas at all. So Alex walks me around every display, allowing me to try on 100 pairs of black plastic frames with specs of at least 53mm, cat eyed or squarish or octagonally interesting, light weight, Asian- cut?, affordable to designer prices. After each one I'd like, I'd pause, contemplate and invoke conversation. Praise Alex- he was a terrific sport equipped with style and impeccable timing for the most polite and discerning discourse. Dr. Jack Chan only hires people who exude and emulate his wholesome and generous nature, obviously. It was closing time and another 15 minutes pass. I was finally able to say "ah-ha!" at the Chloe display. But it was pricey... so Jack worked with me. I haggled. 15 minutes after closing, I have no shame. Jack and Alex continued on with a slight amusement but exclaimed, take my time. I didn't end up purchasing the glasses yet but I've managed to make myself a complete nuisance. This is a testament on superior customer service and generally, just putting others needs before your own- Jack and Alex aces the test with flying colors. -----------------------------///////---------////////-------- Per usual... since I'd met the Guy a year ago- Dr. Jack Chan has put me first. I messaged him at 6am and by the time his practice opened, he gave me an easy afternoon appointment. He was sympathetic seeing I couldn't even open the affected tearing eye. Quickly he rushed me into his chair. Very casually Dr. Chan said you have an ulcer- all the signs are present. Good thing you were vigilant to see me Bc believe it or not some ppl will let this go untreated. Per usual, Jack was sweet, patient, smiley and explicit to no end. I felt totally safe as the first thing I cried out "Am I going to lose the eye?!" He laughed. Phew. Jack prescribed antibiotics and diligently hand wrote how many drops I'm to apply each day x 7 days and to return in 4 days to follow up with him. As usual, per VIP treatment, but I'm almost sure everyone under his care feels that way- Jack Chan work around my finances, time and endless inquiries. As I don't really stop when I find something of interest to talk about. And you can be sure there is huge interest in my Left eye. I left feeling assured albeit disoriented by sunlight and lack of glasses. Every girl needs a Jack in her life, as much as she needs a Beth to do her hair and make her pretty, and mom to cook her Chicken soup when she gets the flu... every girl needs a Jack to make sure her vision is healthy and she is seeing straight- pun clearly intended. read more

They try to cheat u off your benefits to make it their gain in profit. Some greedy people money hungry beasts who run this business and deliberately try to take away their consumer's insurance money by eliminating what their insurance are qualify for. I was suppose to get $130 allowance towards any frames but they limited and told me I am only qualify for only to selected frames and 20% off. Instead why didn't they say that they don't accept my insurance? This is a violation to the insurance company's agreement. Some scammers run tbis business. I agreed with the other yelper's reviews. Customer service is very good. Cee Cee was very helpful and patient with me in assisting with my selection process. When we went here to buy glasses, I had to wait 2 weeks. The price is also very expensive. Other stores prices are much more cheaper and you only have to wait like half a day. I was literally out of contacts when I was recommended by my friend to come Eyeconic Optometry. I am very impressed with the Dr.Chan (Optometrist), he was extremely patient with me. I am someone who searches for answers and Dr. Chan was able to completely resolve all my concerns. He was very patient with me and took a good amount of time finding my correct prescription. Previously I would go to iLook (Chinatown location) which had excellent customer service due to the fact that I don't work close by Chinatown anymore and I was in a rush to refill my contacts I would never though I would go to a new Optical store. It was I guess everything happens for a reason so I found Eyeconic Optometry. I wear contacts almost on a daily bases and only glasses when I am at home, driving or on days my eyes are too tire or dry. Funny thing was I have been having the same problem with each of my glasses. My glasses lenses were getting foggy and dirty really quickly and I never understood why. So it finally found out that it was because the glasses I was purchasing wasn't "Asian Fit (Normally Asian fit glasses normally have an/a "A" or "F" on the model number." Asian Fit glasses are designed for people with low nose bridge and high cheekbones. So because my eyes are normally really dry and because they are so close to the lenses, the lenses would immediately fog up. I am surprised that the previous Optical stores didn't educate me on Asian fit glasses because all along I was getting the wrong glasses that didn't fit my face structure and this caused me to switch to a new pair of glasses every year when I barely wear them. -All the staffs are also very friendly, patient and helpful. -The best part is Dr.Chan is the only Optometrist there and he is there 6 days a week unless he is on vacation. -Even though the store is average size but it is comparable to iLook, Eye Solution, MK Vision big optical franchise chain. -Very clean atmosphere There is a good amount of glasses styles and brands. If you are really picky like me than you can order your glasses frames online and have the lenses switch in the store. When asking options they were very honest. It is nice to not hear everything looks great on you. I am very grateful that me and my boyfriend is able get new glasses and I have stock up my contacts for the next year. read more

I was there at 4:18PM and I had my exam done with the updated prescription on my hand and I am out the door by 4:29 PM. Dr. Chan is efficient and professional at his work.he speaks fluent English and all ethnicity are welcome to his store. No long wait to see Dr. Chan, easy and quick to schedule appointment if necessary. If you visit here you will find friendly, professionals and great collection of frames. They strive to serve the community and assist everyone as best as they can. The experience is wonderful. Highly recommend to visit Dr. Chan and his store. The cost is 30$ for eye exam. You cannot beat that price. Other places for eye exam requires somewhere from 40-80$ for eye exam from a professional and long waiting time and limited schedule for appointment. I've been seeing Dr. Chan for my optometry needs for years. I met him while he was working for another company and when I found out that he had opened a his own location, I was very happy. He and his staff are always professional, not only in care by the knowledge of the products they offer. I never felt pressured by the staff to choose a specific brand of glasses or contacts. They took the time to make sure the fit of my frames were comfortable, but also that they were securely fitted. When I returned later for a refitting, they were more than happy to do it. Even though it was my fault for falling asleep with the frames on. Dr. Chan is very willing to spend the time to speak with you about the test and also explain how it will be performed. He's also pretty smart in how he uses mirrors to extend the range of view for testing purposes. You'll find out when you get your exams by Dr. Chan in his office. Came here on Monday 11/1/2016 to get my glasses fixed near closing. They were nice enough to give me a quick check as well as let me choose my frames, even past closing. The selection of frames was great, and Dr. Chan never seemed to get irritated by my barrage of questions. Dr. Jackie chan is a very friendly person. He is knowledge and professional. And he takes his time making sure he finds the best possible solution or direction to go next. Very thankful for his time. and then I just buy a new transition glasses and think they're great. Sure, they do take a short while to return to clear after coming back indoors (but are clear by the time I return to my desk). The technology has really improved and they have multiple options -- there are the normal clear-to-dark lenses, but they also offer lenses that darken in a car. These are both UV and light activated, so they have the slightest of hints indoors which I really like given how much of my day I spend looking at a computer, smartphone, and tablet screens. My eyes are noticeably less tired. They also have a new type that goes from clear to dark and polarized. Super if you spend time near water. read more

I give this place absolutely no stars. The staff including the doctor are Very unhelpful and rude. They refuse to help you unless the help you want is to hand over money to them. They assume that they know your condition before you even step one foot into an exam room. They get loud and talk over you if you try to speak to them about what you're there for. My insurance company told me to have the office submit Paperwork for preapproval for something in their office. Before even seeing me they told me that I don't meet the requirements to do that and they're not even going to try. Again, this is before even examining me!
