Very polite gentleman, I assumed to be the owner, came and we spoke at length. Our house is ranch style which makes gutters and exceptionally simple matter of installation. The price for materials was reasonable, though I'm sure there were other options available. We simply wanted basic gutters that would go well with the house, instead of the more colorful or elaborate options. The nature of our house allowed the job to be quite quick, under 3 hours, and the people who came to install them or polite and respectful of the property. They made a point of asking if they could use the lawn to lay out materials so they could make the appropriate cuts and measurements. All said and done I think it was well worth the cost and a worthwhile investment since most people fail to realize how much water comes off of a roof and can create muddy situations on their lawn and surrounding property.

He came out promptly and provided a quote for replacing old worn pine flooring with new cherry hardwood in one room and refinishing the pine flooring in another room. He provide a fair reasonable quote. Sean and Nick performed the work beautifully, professionally and cleaned up. The floors came out amazingly. After the flooring was delivered and carpeting was taken out he never showed up. He said he had phone calls and photos to keep track. The person doing the work I was informed was a 'jobber' or contractor; they did not work for the company. For such an expensive job, if the company wasn't doing the work I'd expect regular 'inspections' in person as a photo can be misleading. When the work was completed all I heard was they wanted immediate payment (no final inspection) and after seeing the final work I understood because the work was done but not to the contract and not to what I would call 'reasonable' standards. I did see the work in progress not being done as agreed, but where the owner wasn't there and the way the work was underway in a less than desirable way (and ripping it out made less sense), I didn't complain or stop the work to the contractor as I'm sure the person I was paying would have charged me again to start over. Now I have to 'fix' parts that are just not right. One specific area to highlight is the actual flooring. The owner came to the house and measured it with a laser. I know when doing the work you don't want to run out and have to stop, but he bought a significant amount in excess (two full boxes plus many additional feet) that I had to pay for (and I expect overhead) and now have flooring I don't need. If he truly knows his work I'd expect a much closer estimate or he buys back extra full boxes to show good will (based on his apparent poor estimation). He also got wood with the wrong finish. He said he'd return it but that would have made a significant delay. I guess to try to justify the mistake (it's a drastic difference between the floors), he said what he bought was better. I was not there when all the work was being done, (I was in and out roughly half the days) but don't think the homeowner should have to oversee the job to ensure it meets the contract or expected quality. One specific item I'll point out; the company's correspondence normally has a statement "Our superior quality and customer satisfaction is guaranteed!". I was not satisfied for most aspects and I definitely don't feel the work was superior quality, at best average. When I pointed out that the work didn't follow what was put in writing he came back with what I would call excuses but to me they were backward and illogical, either way, I was not satisfied and he expected payment for work not done to what he put in writing. Again, how can he 'argue' when he never set foot at the work location during any of the actual work or after completion. These are my experiences and thoughts. I was asked to provide his name to a friend in the area but will not. When working with the government years ago, I would have rated this 'Do not recommend.'.

When I got home I found cracks and voids on more than one inside corner, proud and sunken screw holes, and joint mesh exposed and not feathered out. They sent someone to fix it and again said everything was all set. I found more proud screw holes and more exposed mesh. They came back again and seemed like they did everything so I paid in full. My first coat of paint exposed tons of "fish eyes ", small round voids in all the joints. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend using this company.

They arrived in a timely manner and were very friendly and courteous. There were a few finishing work things that were a bit rough, we were a bit frustrated that we were left to sand and paint them ourselves. Other than that they were very meticulous about cleaning up the yard of trash and making sure all screws and nails were cleaned up which I really appreciated. All in all we are happy With the final product.

That said, they said they would move me on Friday. i called several times, sent a text, sent an email- nothing. I literally sat at a bar with tears in my eyes not knowing what to do. If they just called me and said they couldn't move me to Saturday, then I would have at least known they still were going to show up. I was posting all over fb for help, couldn't get a Uhaul until mid Saturday afternoon, it was just horrible. These people were just so nice I never thought I would have been leaving a bad review on them. in the end; I got a call at 2pm from the husband (Dan) I let him know how horrible this was to do to someone. i was in such a bind, I still had them come. I give stars to the guys that moved me but 1 star for what this couple did to me. The emotional stress they caused me will never be forgotten. To note: they did charge me more than my estimate and had the moving guys charge me, again they did not answer my call when I tried to call. i just paid it! I do look forward to my new home and adventures here in Maine but beware that this may happen to you know matter how nice they seem.
