I remembered I had the drivers number, so I called him, he said cross the bridge - turn left & I will be there, we called again, no go right after the bridge & I will be there, I finally gave the phone to my husband because I was getting so upset. My husband said were in front of a booth says San Diego Shuttle & you come find us. we waited & waited, finally someone came , 40 minutes later - he showed up . The pickup from our house went very well. Fortunately we only paid for that pickup. The pickup at the airport NEVER happened. My husband called the day before to confirm and we were assured we'd be picked up when our flight arrived. We called once we were ready to be picked up (ie - had our luggage). The person who answered (as others have stated) seemed bothered by our calls. After two calls the person no longer answered the phone and the phone-mail was not setup to take messages. We are on the older side and were stranded at the airport at midnight. The company never called us afterwards. I gave one star for the pickup at our house. Highly recommend looking for alternative methods of transportation. Overpriced compared to other shuttles. 230$ for a 25 minutes round trip ride. First driver was cool, didn't help the ladies with the bags, van was in shambles with dirty seats. ​Booked a shuttle for a 4am pickup to the airport. At 8pm the night before the driver calls to tell me they will be arriving at 2am to pick us up. The reason stated was that someone else needed the 4am time slot. Good thing I was available to answer. So they changed my reservation with under 12 hours notice. Decided someone else was more important than my already paid for reservation, and were rude about it. This company does not care about it's customers. Laying on the horn while we were waiting for a car to back out of a handicap parking spot is not cool. Maybe practicing a little patience would go a long way. Very unprofessional. Scheduled a pickup for my wife and I at the San Diego Airport for the evening of June 24, 2022. After waiting 15 minutes, I made two phone calls and finally got ahold of someone who verified my information and reservation. He said all drivers were busy and we had to wait 20 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes, I called again and they said no one was available, get another form of transportation. So we walked over the ride share app section and got an Uber in 5 minutes. Surprised to find out the next day, they still charged my credit card for the (non) service. Called the next morning and was told it would be credited. Now two weeks later it's still charged and I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Save yourself the grief... DO NOT use EZ Ride for you transportation needs in San Diego. Your experience will most likely vary wildly depending on which driver you get. The impression I got was that the drivers are mainly contractors and the central management is almost non-existent. I did manage to get both to and from the airport, but it could have very easily gone differently considering the circumstances. The drive to the airport was perfectly fine. The driver called me the night before at around 8 PM (a little strange, but not a problem) and arrived at exactly the scheduled time. We needed to stop for one other passenger along the way, and I arrived with plenty of time to catch my flight. On the way back, however, it was a nightmare. I didn't get any confirmation call, and after waiting about 30 minutes at the shuttle pickup station, I finally saw a shuttle come. After the person asked me where I was heading to, he called another shuttle and said he would come in 10 minutes. (after talking to the second shuttle driver, he said the first one didn't want to drive the distance) It turned out their ENTIRE system was down for the previous 4 days, and they had no way to access their reservations. My driver said customers pretty much had to call to ask "where is my driver?" before they could send anyone. Their website was also down, with a "coming soon" page showing an ETA of 3 days, which meant you'd have to do some digging to get the phone number. While I am very grateful that my driver did finally get me home, there were two major negatives that would subtract stars regardless: 1. He played right-wing talk radio along the journey. Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with the show, political programs are very unprofessional to play during the ride. 2. He texted while driving, and almost swerved into the neighboring lane while doing so. This is completely unacceptable for any driver, let alone a professional one. I debated leaving a 2-star rating based on the fact that it worked out in the end, but considering the complete inconsistency and having a nearly complete loss in service for an ENTIRE WEEK, I can't but think that it was a lucky break that it wasn't worse. read more

I was very disappointed in the (lack of) service by EZ Ride. In fact, it seems incredulous that they can even be in business!! It took four phone calls to dispatch to get someone to pick me up from the airport (an hour later than my reservation time). Even after going over and over with my driver confirming my time to return to the airport, my ride back was way too late for me to be able to catch my flight (another four phone calls). At that point I had to have my 98-year-old mom's caregiver give me a ride with my mom in the car in her pajamas!! Amazingly, I somehow managed to get myself to the gate and board the plane! Typically I have the nicest driver. This morning this guy was an ass. Called and texted to see if I still needed a ride to the airport. Duh! I said hi and thanked him and he said nothing. No conversation which was fine. Get to the terminal. "Here it is" Then I gave him my debit card. He told me I am to pay online. I said the website indicates I could pay the driver. So he grabs the card and goes into the van and takes out a note book and wrote my card info. Comes back out and barks "what's your zip code". Back to the van. Comes back. Used EZ Ride for an airport round-trip. The critical piece was that we have kids who must ride in child car seats. EZ Ride accommodated us and our kids got to ride in safety. After calling the rude customer service line, we were told 20 minutes and a driver would be there. 20 minutes later we call back- another 20 minutes for a driver! Not only did she have to wait over an hour for a shuttle to take her to the resort, but the driver was complaining and driving recklessly the entire ride. Yesterday 4/2/2024 I called their 800 # and the guy who seems to run the whole operation all by himself and is always in a rush said I could only get a confirmation of my reservation if I booked it on line. After many struggles trying to do so I thought I that I had done it correctly (this is for an international flight) . When I went to my e-mail I received FOUR SEPARATE but identical reservations each with a separate reservation # in sequence. Initially there were only two -- I called the guy and he said "I'll fix it", within minutes I got two more reservations as explained above. There seems to be something very wrong with the way their online booking is set up on line. I waited but it seems that nothing was done to fix the problem. I also read some very negative reviews about this business, so I got very nervous and wanted out. I clicked on the box "Cancel" at the bottom of each reservation but I received no confirmation that my reservations had been cancelled. Separately I wrote EZ Ride an email asking that all my reservation(s) be cancelled and explaining why. Plus I clicked on each again and replied "please cancell". A few moments ago I received an email from "Mail & EZ Ride" Delivery Subsystem saying "Delivery status notification , delivery incomplete. There was a temporary problem delivering your message to info@ezrideshuttle.com. Gmail will retry for 47 more hours You will be notified if the delivery fails permanently." I'm leaving the country in a few days for six weeks and the last thing I need is to see charges of $49 +$35 multiplied by four on my credit card statmentre and have to fight it from Europe. I don't have time to file a complaint with the BBB at this time- this company should not be operating unless they get a proper website designer or IT techi to make the booking process more user friendly and responsive. read more

Infuriated! Had used once previously with no issue, so I booked another shuttle. The drop off at the airport was fine however the return flight came in just after midnight (as scheduled). I got to the shuttle pickup site, waited 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time before calling to see what was up. The main line put me in touch with a driver who proceeded to tell me that he was unavailable and I should just call back tomorrow and get a refund. I was stranded at 12:30 am at an empty airport and had to scramble to find another way home. Now even trying to get the refund is proving difficult. Definitely avoid this service. read more

I've had good experiences, but I can see how you might have a bad experience with EZ Ride. They are good for daytime transport. Late night, not so good, cannot seem to arrive on time. So just use them for daytime. The drivers are professional, drive safely, and know the roads. If you have trouble finding their kiosk when you arrive at San Diego airport, follow this advice: cross the pedestrian bridge and go to the first median strip in front of where the taxis line up. Walk left on the median strip and you will see a little white stand (that looks like kids built a lemonade stand!) Call their number and tell them you are there. Chris has been at the job forever and sometimes is cranky when he answers calls, so just thank him profusely for helping you and your reward in heaven. I actually like EZ Ride! read more

The pick-up ride to the airport on departure day was fine, but upon arrival after calling the morning of the flight to confirm the ride back, flight number, and pick-up time, I was left high and dry on the curb at San Diego Int. Airport with my kids (1 and 4) and wife at 8:30 PM. When I called the first time, they said the driver was on the way, at 9 PM, I called back and they said the soonest they could be there was at 10:30 PM. So I got a Lyft and paid $140 to get home. I notified both the airline and EZ Ride Shuttle immediately. They promised an immediate refund. And kept on using the same words but without any refund being received by the original source of payment. When I last called for the 5th time, and two emails to their website Contact form, the person who answered the phone responded to my concern regarding a dispute, with the words, "I don't care" and then hung up the phone. Overall, I really liked this service! The prices were very fair. My flight was delayed and the shuttle waited for my pickup from the airport. I was very happy they accommodated to my needs when it was out of my control. The drivers were very nice and the ride was smooth. The vans were very clean and no issues while on the road. We booked this shuttle service for pick up to and from the airport. Both times the driver was very communicative and reassuring. Based on past reviews I've read here, I was skeptical and didn't expect much. I booked the ride as a precaution- I'd rather pay for the ride then wait around stranded. That being said, I booked the rides, chose to pay with cash, and hoped for the best. To my surprise, they called me to confirm pick up and was prompt both times. Driver was very understanding and accommodating. Can't speak for more than that because we had the same driver both times- he was handling both the calls and driving. The manager answering the phone told me on 4 different occasions that they would take care it. A week later and they still haven't taken care of it.
