Fresh off the heels of my vacation, I was a little nervous about making it through customs and locating the shuttle at the scheduled time. Thankfully, I made it through with ample time and kept in contact with the driver Izzy. Once I made it to the agreed pick up zone at LAX it was a breeze. Izzy took care of loading everyone's luggage and offered a snack and waters. I took this shuttle from San Diego to LAX area and loved the experience. Chris, our driver, drove very safely and was very friendly. The shuttle itself was comfortable. The shuttle wasn't full, but people were able to sit two in each row with a seat in the middle and one passenger in front. Maybe a shuttle full of folks might be uncomfortable, but room was good for the ride there. I also appreciate the snacks and water that came with the ride, but didn't need them. WiFi is available in the shuttle--I tried to do some remote work, but got a bit car sick (usually happens if I try to use electronics during a drive, but most folks seemed to be on their phone with no problem). My family and I had planned a trip to the Philippines to visit my wife's parents. We were visiting the Philippines during the Christmas and New Year's holidays, so any flights during this timeframe are inherently expensive. ReLAXSan is a transport shuttle service that will transport you and your family from several pick-up points in San Diego to LAX. My wife had been shopping around for a shuttle service trying to find a reasonable price. My parents even recommended a shuttle service that specializes in transporting Philippines bound customers to LAX. The several places we contacted seemed pricey to me compared to ReLAXSan. These other places were priced as round trip, but we decided on a one-way trip because the round trip pickup times for ReLAXSan when we got back from our trip wasn't conducive for us. The standard pricing is $58/person one way or $109 round trip. Flex fare aka refundable is $67/person or $127 round trip. With this price, you get 1 free bag, but if you're bringing an additional bag, it's $15. The shuttle van is large and accommodates a good amount of people. If I remember correctly, the van held a total of 14 people to include the driver. All of the bags fit in the back of the van with no problems. We had a GREAT first time experience riding in one of ReLAXSan's vans and our driver Chris epitomized outstanding customer service. There are several pickup points. Our pick-up spot was at the Sorrento Valley Park n Ride, but I believe there's a pick-up spot down South and we picked up people at an Oceanside spot. When Chris picked us up, we had a total of 9 luggage and I offered to help him load, but he did everything himself. As we boarded the shuttle, he kindly and professionally explained that we had access to charging ports and cables for our phones and that snacks and bottled water was available for us. The snacks and water were in individual holders for every passenger. Honestly, the best thing about this service was how quickly and safely Chris drove us from San Diego to LAX despite having to contend with LA traffic. I was amazed how comfortable the ride was and couldn't believe that we got to LAX with a lot of time to spare before our flight departure. This was our first time trying out ReLAXSan and it most definitely won't be our last time because of how GREAT of an experience we had.
