I particularly liked the RTI device he set up, since its a master controller and is programmed to operate the many components in a coordinated way. I appreciate when contractors don't tell you how impossible something is going to be and just find a way to take care of it. Dane estimated it would maybe take 3 hours and it only took 2 (and they only charged me for 2 hours). It was only a little more expensive than hiring someone through Amazon for $99/hr (we were burned before so was happy to find HTSD). I typically like to get 3 quotes...one guy we asked for a quote took a week to get back to us (after the job was already done) and the other quote we got was $600 (roughly the value of one of the TVs).

We've used Halcyon Mobile Security Solutions for almost 5 years even through an ownership change for various upgrades, repairs, and new camera installations. Overall, the quality of their work has been solid once completed, and their technicians are knowledgeable and professional on-site. We did run into an issue with a camera that was sold to us by a previous rep (who is no longer with the company). The camera's speaker never worked as promised, and it took quite a bit of back and forth to troubleshoot. While the team eventually helped address the concern, communication delays made it harder to resolve quickly. Another recent project, getting a quote and installation for an additional camera -- took about two weeks from start to finish. While that's not terrible, shortening that turnaround could really improve the customer experience and help boost their sales, since responsiveness is key in this kind of service. Despite some bumps, we continue to use Halcyon because they do solid work once the ball gets rolling. With a few improvements to follow-up times and communication, they could easily earn that fifth star.
