He listened to my ideas, was responsive via email and text, worked with what I wanted, provided excellent guidance on what would look best, and accommodated all my requests to give me the perfect install. I had him install a Samsung Frame TV, hide the wires inside the wall, and also install a floating shelf unit under the TV to hide all electronic components. He nailed the no gap / flush mount of my Samsung Frame TV, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I also asked him to move the coaxial cable outlet to a different location so that I could hide it inside a storage closet, and he executed that perfectly as well. Brandon was great, as others have mentioned. He installed two tvs for us in Scripps Ranch. He moved one tv from a wall to above the fireplace. The installation was perfect and he patched up the wall as well. I was able to paint over it easily. He removed another tv mount from the upstairs bedroom and replaced it with a new mount. I paid a little more than I wanted to but that was my wrong expectation. Will definitely use Brandon again when I buy a bigger house in 2-3 years. Wow, so incredibly happy we went with SoCal Installs. He showed up, with the mount I needed for my TV, setup, knocked it out, and cleaned up within 2 hours. First of all, the craftsmanship on the home was impeccable. We rent and our Landlord is in love with her home, so getting her to be ok with this move, cutting large holes in the wall for the cords then drilling more holes in the wall to mount the tv, was no easy feat. Once she saw the finished results, she trusted us enough to let us hang a couple other things around the house ;). We wanted to mount a tv on our fireplace and weren't sure if there was brick behind the face of ours (which most companies said they wouldn't install on if this was the case). Brandon was very honest about the cost differences and said either way he would get the job done for us. Turned out there was brick behind and he was able to still run the cables through the wall and get the plugs installed behind the tv, along with an extra one on the ground behind our entertainment center. We had a great experience with So Cal Installs. We moved into an new apartment that had an inlet/cove above the fireplace for your TV, however our 55" LED TV would not fit into that space. The space was also too deep for standard mounts to have enough arm reach. Best Buy wanted to charge approx. $650 for the mount and an install for this space. We could buy a new TV to fit into the space for that amount. It is an apartment, not a home and not worth $650 to install a TV onto the wall. With So Cal Installs we only paid approx. $250 for the mount and install. The team that came out, included the owner, Brandon. They were professional and did a great job. I'm not sure what more I can add to the numerous excellent reviews, but I'll give it a shot! I called Brandon on Saturday to see what his availability was to mount 2 flat screen TVs. I was more than pleasantly surprised when he told me he'd be able to schedule an appointment for Monday. His communication with me was flawless. When he arrived, I showed him where I wanted the TVs mounted. I had only planned on mounting one of them, so I only had one mount. Luckily for me, he had one in his truck and he charged me just over what he paid for it. This saved me from ordering an additional one and hence, not requiring another installation date and added expense. If you're mounting more than one TV, on the same date, he gives you a discount. I also had an Apple TV and Amazon Fire Stick I wanted to connect. Not only did he install both of them for me, he also took the time to program them & show me how they worked. I'm not the most technically advanced so his help with this was priceless. It's not every day you hire someone who does more than just what the initial call was for. Even though the layout of the home was as unwelcoming as it gets for any kind of wiring, they still found a way to run the cables - they're completely invisible. Brandon agreed to install a new 75" Samsung TV on the wall where our Pioneer Elite 55" Plasma hung for 15yrs until it shut itself off. Brandon agreed to pickup and install the TV the next day. We purchased the TV at Costco where Brandon agreed to meet us at 2:30. Brandon arrived a1/2 hr. late at 3:00. He laid the TV down in his truck (we could have laid it in our Bronco but thought it had to remain standing up?) and delivered it to our house 5 miles away. He quickly unpacked everything, removed the existing wall mounted TV, commenting that the Dual Swing Arm Wall Mount (PDS2081 costing $599. in 2004) was probably worth more then the TV now. He searched around in his tools and could not find the right size bit for his drill, so we provided him one. He had difficulty locating the studs to mount the new brackets, making several holes behind the screen. My husband needed to help him mount the large TV on the bracket, which seemed to be a problem. He took several calls. He connected the TV to the DVD player using the preexisting accesses and outlets. He could not get the existing external speakers to work or the DVD player. He coaches his sons team and ran out of time, he was gone by 5:30 pm. Before he left he gave us a bill for $400. He explained it broke down to $100 delivery, $250 for installation and $50 for cables, for 2 1/2 hr job which included his phone calls, delivery time he charged $100 for and time packing up & writing up the bill? That was not what I expected. The main reason for the #2 rating is because we cleaned up after he left and the $599 mounting bracket was no longer there. We had all of the boxes and old TV still in our house?? I called Brandon and asked him to look in his truck for the Dual Swing Arm Mount. He told me he didn't have it and it was a 15 yr old piece of junk and he NEVER takes old brackets when he leaves, as a courtesy he checked and it was not in his messy truck. We thought it was trashed but amazingly the Pioneer Elite PRO1110HD TV was repaired. Picture quality is still better then the new Samsung Ultra 4K Q-LED we bought, although the new technology in the Samsung are far superior. We want to give it to the friend who correctly installed the speakers and DVD up to our new TV but unfortunately we no longer have the wall mount for the Plasma-TV. Brandon swears he didn't take it. I do not believe him, it is not here??? Brandon is not the quick, efficient installer he claims, his services are expensive, he is impatient and argumentative and our old wall mount was nowhere to be found after Brandon left. read more
