Based on the reviews he read here on Yelp he decided to go with Alt Builders and their owner Dan. He contacted Dan and was who responded very promptly on a Sunday afternoon. Dan came out the next day to size up the job. He was prompt and very knowledgeable about what Jeff was looking to have done. The patio door was ordered and came in approximately 3 weeks later. Dan and his crew were able to come out to do the job within a couple of days and completed the job in a day and a half just like he promised. They cleaned up and the installation went smoothly. The price was very reasonable and Jeff is definitely going to hire Alt Builders in the future to get some doors installed. He highly recommends Dan for any work or repairs you might need.

Jake had an excellent presentation - They were the lowest bidder - The roof looks good and I have not had any issues with it. - Their "A" team came out to correct some issues (the flashing looked like it had been installed by a 4th grader) The Bad: - I was told that a PM would be onsite the entire time. In reality he was on site for maybe 10% of the project - My project was sub-contracted out to a another team and I was NOT informed of this. This became a major problem when I started having issues and could not talk to anyone (the subcontractors did not speak english). Note that Buffalo Fresh Roof is NOT the company you are signing with. The contract is actually with Bors Pros Construction - Within an hour on the first day, the protective tarps had come down and there was debris raining down on my deck and flower beds. When the PM showed up at the end of the day, he said that this could not be helped. Of course, that is garbage - they wouldn't put the tarps up if they didn't have a purpose. Also, this is not what I was told in pre-sales. As a side note, I saw the same sub-contractors working on a project down the street for another company a few weeks later. There were no problems with the tarps on that project. - The roofers decided to try to do a u-turn in my lawn and got stuck (I still have the ruts). They then gave me attitude when I refused to try to pull them out using my truck. - I have damage to my gutters, deck, flower beds and lawn. - I am still finding nails around the perimeter of the house To be fair, the PM did knock off the additional cost incurred in replacing some of the plywood. It wasn't worth what I am going to have to spend in the spring to fix my yard, flowerbeds and lawn - I just wanted them gone.

Very solid experience all around…read more The salesman came out twice over the course of 3 months to go over different scenarios and options. It's easy for sales staff to get frustrated with a drawn out process but he wasn't and remained kind and accommodating throughout. The install crew was efficient and respectful and the finished job they did looks great. Purchasing windows produced by a WNY manufacturer was an important factor to us and the quality of product and experience certainly matches the high expectations we set up with that premise. I'd recommend comfort to anyone based on our interaction on every level with this job.

They had to fix a number of issues including dry-rot, lack of insulation, replacing various layers of the exterior around the windows and weather-proofing the house in parts where it was lacking. They came out in a very timely manner to provide a quote. Corvair clearly explains the work he is carrying out and is very knowledgeable at what he does. Their team is hard-working on-site. Upon discovering some further issues, he offered options on how to proceed, some of which involved more work but when he reached those decision points he was very clear and prompt as to what the benefit of the additonal work at the time. I trust the quality and of their work and will keep coming back to Charge Construction. Him and his team do great work and the prices are fair for the quality of service provided. (I didn't post every photo but here are some)

We were quoted for a new roof on our home in April 2025 and work began soon after. The workers had total disregard for our property. They stomped across our front garden, left their empty cans in our children's sandbox, and left nails just all over. They also smashed and snapped a huge limb off of our lilac bush (I watched them do this carelessly). They left extra pieces of roofing on the roof that blew off into the yard as well as a significant amount of nails on top of the roof of our porch. I understand the work can be messy, but this seemed outrageous. I was picking nails off our driveway for months afterward. The real issues started this winter. We live in Colden, NY and are used to harsh winters with an old roof. However, you'd think after almost $30k for a brand new roof you wouldn't have to worry about leaking/ insane ice issues on it. We have had leaking in the past that we were told would be remedied with the new roof. Instead, the leaking has been significantly worse this year causing more damage through our walls and ceilings. The first time they sent a repairman out to address the issue I was not asked if we were home or if they could come on the property. They called and told me (again, not asked) they'd be at our house in 20 minutes. While I appreciate the quick response, I am a SAHM with two littles and really did not feel comfortable receiving a call that someone would be coming into my home while I was home by myself. In addition to this, they gave the repairman the wrong address and he ended up stuck in my neighbor's driveway which was completely torn up when they pulled him out. The repairman did nothing but take photos of the house and shrug. He told me he couldn't do anything because the amount of ice on the roof would further damage it. The second time this happened, he took a ladder up to look at the issue and told us it was because of the siding. Our siding is old, however we are not convinced the siding is the issue. He found more pieces of roof that'd blown off in our yard and told us he was going to leave to reshape them and come back later that day to reattach them. He never came back, and we never heard from anyone again.
