When we arrived, we were standing in line at the register, but were asked to move to the beginning of the food line. There wasn't any clear direction on where customers were supposed to line up, and with only one employee handling both the ordering line and the register, the process felt unorganized.
The biggest issue was the ordering system. We wanted to order both a bowl and a mozzarella corn dog, but were told the corn dog had to be ordered and paid for at the register. By the time we reached the register, ordered it, and waited for it to cook, our bowls had already been sitting long enough to become cold. It would make much more sense if customers could order everything at the beginning, have the corn dogs cooking while the bowls are being prepared, and then pay once everything is ready. Instead, we ended up paying premium prices for food that needed to be reheated once we got home, which was disappointing.
Unfortunately, several items also seemed neglected. The donut display was empty, and many of the bowl toppings were either empty or nearly empty. While the flavors were good, nothing tasted particularly fresh. It felt like ingredients had been sitting for a while instead of being replenished consistently, even though the restaurant was fairly busy.
Behind the counter also appeared somewhat cluttered and disorganized, which raised a few concerns about cleanliness, even though the dining area itself looked well maintained.
Lastly, the corn dogs were much smaller than they appeared in the photos, and the sweet potato corn dog was noticeably overcooked and burnt.
Overall, the staff was very kind, and the food had good flavor, but the confusing ordering process, lack of fresh ingredients, empty stations, and food quality issues kept us from having the experience we were hoping for. You are allowed to get four base options but when you order that, they end up shortening the options so I got two white rice, one purple and sweet potato noodles, but my purple rice was half of the scoop that he was using.
