I kept having this flashback the entire time we were eating at this marvelous little shack. The nautical decor, the menu choices, the friendly service, all contributed to a truly memorable night's meal. We really appreciated the menu choices offering three different seafood treats on a platter. DW chose the grouper, shrimp, and scallops platter, while I went for grouper, flounder, and scallops. The fish were perfectly prepared, had a wonderful aroma, and tasted delicious. We are definitely planning to return during next year's trip.

The service was excellent as always, but I just was not thrilled with the food this time. We tried the crab eggrolls I think is what it was called. Maybe it was lobster. I don't know. I ate half of one and gave the rest to my friend. I tried the three pepper crab soup I could not finish. It did not like it at all. I had the standard fried fish platter with grouper, scallops, and shrimp. This was actually delicious and so was the sweet potato fries and the macaroni salad and I typically do not like macaroni salad at all, but this was delicious. I took home smoked salmon, fish spread, and a large container of the lobster bisque. The smoked salmon spread definitely had more cream cheese than fish not bad tasting just disappointed on the amount of cream cheese. First time I've had their lobster bisque and it will be the last time. This is more like a lobster soup. It has so many chunks of celery in it and I've never had a bisque with large celery chunks before it wasn't bad tasting necessarily, but when you're thinking you're about to eat some bisque and it taste like this it's quite disappointing. I don't think they use Sherry in this particular bisque.

The…read moreinterior is elegant, with views of a small harbor, and on past visits we've even seen dolphins. It's a large space with a modern bar, booths along the windows, tables scattered throughout, and two event rooms on either end of the main dining room. Sara greeted us promptly, as usual with a smile, and was attentive without hovering. I had a Buffalo Trace Manhattan, she had an Angry Orchard, and my small glass came with enough ice to keep it in the freezer for the next shift. I had the blackened shrimp tacos. Tasty, with a little tang, but this is where the pricing starts to raise an eyebrow. They were $17 for 2, and most other places give you 3 for $16 or less, usually with sides too. She had the steak quesadilla at $18, which also felt a little steep. Most others are $14 or less. Still, she enjoyed it, so there's that. For once, there was no 3% credit card upcharge, but at these prices, you have to figure it's already built in somewhere. The food was good overall, though I think the meal came in about $10 high. I also hear the place is for sale. Good food, service, ambiance, and view. All pretty common on the Gulf of America -- which is kind of the point, I guess. They've got a few easy, not-too-expensive fixes, so I'll leave it to you to be the judge.

It was easily accessible by the birthday girl who was using her walker. Service was wonderful! Sarah was prompt with bringing our drinks after we ordered them, and keeping those drinks full. She brought us our food orders as soon as they were ready. Everything was at the proper temperature and delicious. Our party ordered salmon, fried shrimp, fish & chips and Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Our meals were filling, and what we couldn't eat came home with us! We are definitely returning for the fried shrimp!! We brought cake which Sarah expertly delivered to the table once we were done with dinner. Only one candle was not lit when she placed it in front of the birthday girl. But that was okay! She blew out the others to get her wish. I'm betting that wish was to return here. Everything was memorable and enjoyable!!

Very helpful answering all of our questions and even making suggestions. 3 of us got the Fish and Chips (2 of us shared 1 meal) and the other got the Captains Feast. The Fish and Chips is more than enough food for to feed 1 person. 2 Large pieces of flounder, fries, and slaw. Very fresh and crispy! (We had enough left over for my lunch the next day) The Captains Feast grilled, was also very fresh! Flounder, Scallops, Shrimp, Crab cake, and he ordered chips and slaw as a side. I would definitely suggest going and I know we will stop in for dinner again very soon. See u Soon!

I told her to look at my mom and that I would not be doing that. She just said, "well that's the only options you have, I can't hold tables." "Well what is the point of a reservation with notes?" I replied. She proceeded to blame the other host and said "she didn't see anything and couldn't help, we would just need to wait." So I said "that's unacceptable." And when she replied again that she"couldn't do anything." I said "well let's talk to a manager then, because I'm not lifting my mom into one of those chairs." So she stormed off and the manager immediately apologized and said she would fix it while the hostess said I was yelling at her. Unbelievable. I just think the hostess needs a different job. I have never experienced someone so argumentative and rude as a hostess. Then I come here and read comments and clearly she is working a lot and ruining this awesome restaurants reputation. Give her a new job before you lose more customers!

Sat at the bar, because we like the vibe there better. Super impressed with the bartender. Not only made great martinis, she's a certified sommelier and had great recommendations for wine pairing with food. Started off with some raw oysters. Prepared properly (separated from the bottom shell). Fresh and tasty. Next was the appetizer special, seafood mix salad on crispy potato bars. Interesting and tasty. Finally, we had the grilled octopus. Seriously some of the best I had. Nice and tender and grilled just right. Service was outstanding and attentive. Atmosphere was lively, without being noisy. Met a nice couple that go there every week for date night. It will be in our regular rotation of places to go.

However, our disappointment isn't so much with the meal. It's with how their manager, Anthony, handled the situation. Instead of showing empathy, apologizing, or making us feel like valued customers, Anthony spoke to my wife in a condescending, disrespectful, argumentative and unprofessional manner. No customer should ever be talked down to or belittled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Anthony's behavior turned our evening into an unacceptable dining experience. Because of him, and him alone, we will never come back. I hope management take this review seriously. Food can always be corrected, but the way customers are treated is what determines whether they'll ever return. Unfortunately, because of how Anthony handled this situation, we will not be back, and we will not recommend Estuary to others. I sincerely hope no future customer has to experience the same treatment.
