When server came by to ask if everything was ok, we told her that it had no taste. She said that she would let the chef know. Server asked if my wife wanted something else instead but she declined. We took the leftovers home. In our opinion if something is clearly not up to standards you should adopt a policy of not charging a guest for the food they hardly touched. Lets face it, things go wrong from time to time. I am and have been faced with the same challenges at the restaurants and hotels I have managed over the last 40 years but showing genuine concern and providing good customer service will pay off in the long run. Please empower your staff to do the right thing. They can tell if a guest has a genuine complaint. It's with how their manager, Anthony, handled the situation. Instead of showing empathy, apologizing, or making us feel like valued customers, Anthony spoke to my wife in a condescending, disrespectful, argumentative and unprofessional manner. No customer should ever be talked down to or belittled. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Anthony's behavior turned our evening into an unacceptable dining experience. Because of him, and him alone, we will never come back. I hope management take this review seriously. Food can always be corrected, but the way customers are treated is what determines whether they'll ever return. Unfortunately, because of how Anthony handled this situation, we will not be back, and we will not recommend Estuary to others.
