The crew, Roberto and Harry, were empathetic, caring, and incredibly efficient with packing, loading, and unloading the one-bedroom apartment. I spent the day worrying (needlessly) that the storage unit I had rented was too small. The crew fit all of the items neatly and safely into a 5x10' unit with room to spare. I've never seen anything like it. I also want to give kudos to the front office. They were the first company to respond to my inquiry, answered all of my questions patiently, and kept us informed about when the crew was arriving. Once from Indiana to Baltimore City, and the second from Baltimore City to Michigan. The first time I moved with them, the moving coordinator I worked with was very communicative, checked in with me throughout the moving process (including when my items were being picked up), and was conscious of my anxiety levels. The second time I moved, I needed to contact Stephanie to remind her of upcoming deadlines, follow up with her when she said that she would get back to me and failed to do so, and was also unprofessional at times, uttering profanities like "retarded" in reference to the move itself when on the phone with her. What's more is that one of my inventory items never even arrived to me. They launched an audit to find the lost items but came back empty, so I guess one of their workers just walked off with it. The pay out on the audit also was less than half of what the items were valued at. Some of the items that were lost can't be replaced. Like how does something just walk off? You're a moving company that specializes in moving things, and you're one of the most expensive brands in the market with guaranteed service. On a positive note, the people who picked and dropped off my belongings were very professional, on time, and handled everything like glass. Don't think I'll work with Perry again.

Their price was fair and everyone worked extremely hard. I would have taken weeks to complete what they did in two days. Best of all they stayed to the quote price they gave a minimum and a maximum and came up in the middle! The only words of caution I would give to you are to expect a staff with only one or two native English speakers . The other guys are working extremely hard to please and take feedback very well, though. you may need to be clear and demonstrate or write out how you would like the box labeled for them. I felt like they did their best to respect our home, not tracking too much dirt. They also ensured that they missed nothing in our previous home packing even the tiniest of things. When they ran out of packing supplies, they called their supervisor who came by with more boxes. We paid additional to have our treadmill moved, and that wentoff flawlessly. They built all furniture that was taken apart, and I can't think of any damage we found. I would recommend treasure moving to anyone I knew. The owner called me and made sure I understood the pricing and was comfortable with the work being done at my home.

That was a big mistake. This time I went right to Doyle. You get what you pay for, my friends. Ryan, the owner, was very responsive and we made an appointment to do a video walk-through of our condo. We did the walk-through, he asked a lot of questions and then he promptly sent an estimate. We have a lot of things so it took five guys and two trucks. The crew leader contacted me the day before to confirm the details and they showed up promptly the day of. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and energetic the entire time. And very polite. They treated all of our things very well and didn't have a problem moving any of the weird odds and ends we couldn't find a way to pack. When we arrived they put everything in the new house where we wanted it and even though we could tell they were suffering from the extreme heat and the weight and amount of our things, they never lagged or complained. They put the beds back together quickly and correctly as well as the dining room table. I'd be in hospital if I had to move all my stuff. At the end, the crew leader went over the paperwork, explained all the final charges line-by-line, and took payment. Very professional. We could not be happier. They were a great crew of guys. Most concerning is the inclusion of a "Confession of Judgment" clause. This aggressive legal tactic attempts to strip consumers of their right to due process in court, and it has been explicitly illegal in Maryland consumer contracts since 2020. Furthermore, their opening paragraph states they "in no event function... as an interstate or intrastate common carrier." This is a massive red flag, as it appears to be a deliberate loophole to dodge the state's mandatory cargo insurance and liability protections that legitimate movers are required to carry. Upon requesting that Doyle strike these clauses from their contract, they refused to do so, because they "do over 1,000 moves a year and send the same contract to every customer we service." Unfortunately, that contract contains illegal and predatory language.

TERRIBLE MOVING EXPERIENCE!! We made the mistake of hiring a…read moremoving broker (Moving APT) instead of a moving company (they lied when I asked, told me they were a moving company). Moving APT in turn assigned the job to Shift Van Lines, who in turn subcontracted the last leg out to another terrible moving company, I believe it's Green Lines. I've now come to understand that they use multiple movers to avoid all accountability. Your stuff got broken in the move? Good luck figuring out who to file a claim with!! They will pass the ball like a hot potato. Our move from CT to TX ended up costing 2.5X what the broker initially quoted, for no apparent reason -- from $2,200 quoted to $5,200, plus tips for two sets of moving guys. All this for a well-packed, small 1-BR apt going from one storage facility to another! This should have been a simple move. At our final destination of Austin TX, the movers were supposed to make two stops: first at our house, to drop off a few pieces of furniture; then the remaining boxes were supposed to go to a storage facility located 4 mins from the house. Shift Van Lines charged us $250 for the additional stop, WHICH NEVER TOOK PLACE, BECAUSE THE MOVERS THEY SUBCONTRACTED SENT AN ABSURDLY HUGE 18-WHEELER TRUCK that would not fit in or anywhere near our storage facility. Very inappropriate vehicle for a small move!! Shift Van Lines claims they did not know that Green Lines would be using such a huge truck -- even though it was their responsibility to know, it was they who were hired to move our stuff from CT to TX. To add insult to injury we were charged the $250 for the addt'l stop IN TRIPLICATE -- once by each of the 3 moving companies involved! When Green Lines realized they could not fit their truck in the storage facility (which has an ample road, any normal truck would fit there), they just dumped all our belongings in our garage!! WE HAD TO HIRE YET ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY TO MOVE THE STUFF FROM THE GARAGE TO THE STORAGE FACILITY!! That cost us an additional $800, bringing the total cost of moving a small 1BR apt to nearly $5,000! I'm pretty sure we were charged the $499 broker's booking fee in triplicate too. Their invoicing could not be more OPAQUE. Furthermore, when our stuff was being held somewhere in Baltimore (I put several AirTags in our boxes to track location), they called me and said I had to pay an additional $500 to schedule the final delivery date ... else they could not guarantee our stuff would be delivered at all!! They held our stuff hostage for ransom ... because clearly gouging us for more than twice what they'd quoted me was not highway robbery enough for these people!! Needless to say, we did not pay the extortion fee. Our TVs arrived broken, several art frames arrived cracked & chipped, and Shift Van Lines won't honor our claim because the owner is pissed off that I posted this negative review. Everything I've said in here is factual and verifiable. It's beyond unprofessional that his personal feelings should dictate how he runs his business. He should honor my claim for the broken TV, and refund me the $800 I had to pay to finalize the move that they did not. It's the right and decent thing to do.
