No accountability. The wooden headboard of one of my beds had hinge you could unscrew to operate the pieces but instead they ripped off that third piece damaging the wood and overall look of the bed. They mentioned they would give me a form to complete but never sent it. Definitely, wouldn't recommend and for that they were over priced and shady. They don't even deserve the one star. read more

We are very happy that we chose 1st Class Moving and Storage to help us with our recent move. We required full moving service including all packing. They were able to fit us in very quickly for a virtual walk through to provide an estimated cost, which was much less than expected. I thought there would surely be extra expenses added in for the final total. But it wasn't! (They were much less expensive than a company we used a few years ago, and ended up doing a much better job!!) The crew was on time and they all worked very efficiently. It was a hot day and the air conditioning was not working, but they all worked hard and did not even complain about the heat. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Scheduling a last minute move for my mother-in-law from a nursing facility had a number of twist and turns given the security in and out of the building, but the movers were professional and efficient in the process. They were truly great and made what could have been a painful, labor intensive process a walk in the park. And the whole experience from beginning to end was great. - Scheduling my move date was easy! And they sent a reminder email the day before with information I'd need to know - The movers came right on time and called before coming to confirm we were still ready to move. There were three movers and only one seemed semi-competent. Another one used my master toilet without even asking (left the seat up and didn't wash his hands). I am in the process of fighting them on major damage they caused to the house I was selling and moving from to the new house I bought. 10 weeks after the move they are still reviewing my claims. Damaged floors, missing things. 2 TVs they packed themselves we totally destroyed. Dropped my deep freezer and every box was crushed or damaged. No one spoke English. I asked boxes or item to go to certain places and found them dumping where ever they chose. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I booked them a month in advance, paid my down payment and signed the contract. Then I did not hear from them again - I was promised a call the day before the move letting me know what time the movers would be arriving. Never got a call. I left a voice message which was never returned, and had to call 4 more times on the day of the move before anyone answered. THEN they proceeded to tell me the movers wouldn't be arriving until 5-7pm. When I called to speak with a representative about how unacceptable their communication and timing is, he was the rudest person I've ever spoken to in my life. Yelling at me, telling me I booked on the busiest day of the year and would just have to deal with it (how was I supposed to know it's the busiest day of the year??? If that's the case then you should have told me so I could schedule a different day). He tried to throw the terms of the contract in my face.....not knowing that I myself am a lawyer. At one point he told me that they were not contractually obligated to call me at all? It was abhorrent, offensive, and disgusting. I've literally never been spoken to that way in my life, especially by someone who I am paying for a service. But it doesn't stop there. The movers NEVER SHOWED UP and NO ONE CALLED ME. Their offices closed at 6pm, so no one was picking up the phone. After an hour of calling, someone finally picked up and said he was "unsure if anyone was coming tonight" and rescheduled me for the next morning. Had I not called 10 times, I would have been left waiting all night for movers who never showed, and a company who would not call me to tell me. That said, the movers themselves were amazing, hard-working people. It is such a shame they work for such an awful company. It is hilarious that the company prides itself on caring for their customers. If they really cared, maybe their business owner would respond to some of the negative reviews on Yelp instead of just the positive ones. read more

I called them the day before moving from Chicago after trying several moving companies. Many of the other companies were charging 600$ plus for a unloading of a 1bedroom. However, they were so great with the price and even flexible with me without charging me an additional fee for changing once I made it to the area. Once I made it to Baltimore I had to change my time and date and they changed it for me with no problem. I was able to get in contact with their team after hours.
