Great, local nail salon with lots of space! I called ahead and made an appointment beforehand, and we were taken to our chairs upon entrance. My mom received a fill and said that the man who did the service paid attention to detail and did a great job. I received a pedicure and added on the paraffin wax treatment. Definitely recommend this treatment if your heels are cracked and dry. I was happy with the service aside from when the woman was a little too aggressive with the pumice stone on a deep crack in my heel. I don't get my nails done often, but when I do next, I plan to return to Ezzie! read more

Was in the area for a wedding and came here to get my nails done before hand. There was 3 of us total, and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. I got a dip manicure and was pleased for the most part. The technician who did my nails did not push back my cuticles, which wasn't the end of the world I suppose, but it is something I expect when I get a manicure. I asked the technician to cut some of my nails as they were too long, he did and said he would come back to file and shape them later. He never asked what shape I wanted my nails, and it honestly never crossed my mind to tell him, so it was half my fault when I ended up with very square nails (which I can't stand). When they were done they looked great. You get 10% off your first visit when you check in on yelp, and they guarantee your nails for 2 weeks as long as you come back in with the receipt, which is super nice. My nails lasted for a little over a week before they started cracking and chipping (it probably didn't help that they were square shape and were getting caught on everything). Unfortunately by that time I was already back home, which is out of state, so I was unable to go back in and get them fixed. I ended up having to take them off completely before I even reached 2 weeks. If in the area again I would still come back, as the service was good, and the place was super cute and clean. read more

I had recently checked reviews on yelp and found this salon and another than were pretty equal in reviews. So I just threw a dart and unfortunately went with the other salon. Less than 2 weeks and my nails were horrible so my aesthetician recommended I go to Ezzie! I'm always so skeptical about new places but Ezzie is just amazing. Since it was my first time Ken took the time to explain the different service for cuticle removal with a dip manicure. They also have it printed on each station along with nail shapes. I love the transparency and eagerness to make sure the customer knows exactly what they are getting. They do such great work and have a fun environment. I love going here, I haven't went in a while but I'd like to write about my experience with Cat. She's so sweet and knows when to insight conversation and when someone is introverted. She's so talented with nail design and everytime I have her to do my nails they come out so beautiful. I love the ambiance and how rich everyone's personalities are. I'm not sure where to begin...with the excellent service, the flawless facilities or exquisite work done by each nail technician. I see Tyler. I have been going to him for four years. He is not just "the guy who does my nails"--he has become a true friend. He is kind, thoughtful, patient, fastidious, and just truly gifted. He comes in on his days off, comes in last minute, and fits me in when he has a full day (all the while staying on schedule with his other clients). Now for his skills: they are incomparable. He can do any style you want and execute it to perfection. I am incredibly, obnoxiously particular about my nails (in today's world, who doesn't want to be able to control something in their lives, no matter how small). He will spend hours sitting with me, on his days off, to get my nails just how I want them. He spent his vacation learning new techniques in California and came back with every Instagram skill there is. It's amazing what he can do with just four tiny drill bits (not that they're used too often, because he puts on powder, polish, and dip perfectly the first time around). Each visit is something I look forward to; sitting in his chair is a true joy. Anyone would be lucky to sit in front of him. P.S. I am happy to have found the best nail salon in the area, hands-down! The vibe at Ezzie's is always fun and I always know that when I set an appointment with Kyle my nails will look PERFECT. I can be a bit of a perfectionist but Kyle always delivers on what is asked for, and I have become a loyal customer. While he did not do my pedicure, it was amazing as well! One would think that with the remarkable service and quality, rates might be higher here than some other salons, but Ezzie's prices are really great! While it is a bit of a drive for me from South Elgin, there is no doubt that it's worth the trip to Geneva for nails that will look flawless. The color options are practically limitless, especially for dipping powder - my favorite. I can't recommend Ezzie's enough and in particular Kyle. This nail salon is by far the best nail salon in the area. They did my nails for my wedding and they looked great. It was the first time I tried "dip" nails and I have been hooked ever since. Nancy first did my nails and I have also been to Kyle and Ken as well. All three of them have done a wonderful job especially when I request the ombré look on my nails. I always get compliments on my nails now and I definitely recommend one makes an appointment when they want to get in. This place is a local gem and they are always pretty hopping. They have TONS of colors to pick from but honestly I usually just trust in their suggestions on colors when I go in and they never disappoint with what they pick out for me. Pricing is very reasonable and from the front desk staff to the rest of the employees and the owner Ken they all you can tell truly value their customers and the quality of their services they provide. I never do this but I'm honestly so extremely disappointed. I've been coming to ezzie for Kyle for almost 3 years I've been loyal every month and I get dip, he always does an amazing job but today I showed this picture and I realized when I got in my car that they didn't look like the picture.. it was not a big deal at all! I wasn't mad but I simply called to ask if maybe they could remove the blue polka dots and just keep the pink.. I got rude customer service on the phone.. basically saying if I don't come in right in that second they couldn't fix them.. which is fine. But then I got these.. I can not believe the unprofessional rude messages I got. I have never been rude or disrespectful, I wasn't even mad but I got these texts right after calling from Kyle and I can't believe this is how they handle business to a regular loyal client. I'm so disappointed and don't understand why you cancel clients just bc they wanted something done differently. I'm sorry but nails are expensive and I am just being honest, I never complain or call back and the one time I do I get texted and treated horribly by my nail tech. I am in this industry so I know and understand how it works, & I could not believe how this was handled. He texted my personal cell phone number which I also think is so wrong & I did end up blocking him. I received recommendation for Ezzie nails.. tried them out. I asked for dip,numerous times, and when the tech started my set she did acrylic anyway. I tried to stop her, and asked, "This is dip?" And she lied to my face and said yes! Not only did she lie, she then charged me 80 for a set that looked nothing like the pic! I would never go back here. read more

This place does amazing nails but based off my experience today, I will not be returning. I called and made a appointment with someone earlier in the week for 9:30am, I walked in my appointment and Lily greeted me then instantly asked if I had a appointment, I said yes and she proceeds to look up by my name and phone number and says that I didn't make one and looks at me like if I was lying and annoyingly asked what I wanted, I told her a dip and cuts me off to pick out a color, I continued saying I wanted a pedicure too and she looked at me even more annoyed and continued to rush me to pick out a color. I did, I got my pedicure first and Lily was the one to do it, already not happy with her customer service she proceeded to rush the whole service, globing on my nail polish and trying to "fix" it but cleaning up with acetone. You can tell I was a inconvenience to her. I get paired up with some girl in a red and black anime hoodie with cross red ribbons on the shoulder of her sweater. Continued to rush through as well, and when she would mess up would say I was "fighting her" like uh no girl, you're rushing and trying to bend my hand in ways it don't naturally sit for once again the convenience of you. Top it off, the example nail on top of the powder looks nothing like what the dip color actually was. They definitely discriminated me and I know it is a wealthy area with a certain type of people, I think the treat you based off how much money you spent and kinda how you look. And even then I respect that during this pandemic they probably prefer appointment over walk in but either way, I wasn't a walk in lol someone on their end messed up my appointment and I got the heat for it. The interior space was well designed, the massage chairs were new, all tools were clean and sanitized, and there were TV monitors everywhere so I could catch up on HGTV. It was an average experience. The salon is kind of messy, and the nail tech who did my no chip manicure was sick. He was coughing and sniffling while doing my nails behind a plexiglass thin wall. During COVID, this is obviously a concern. Some of my nails are crooked as well. The nail tech that did my pedicure was very nice and did a great job. The customer service from the man who answers the phone and collects the payment is also not great. When you spend over $80, I would think they would be more kind to you when you pay. read more
