Great new equipment in a prime location. Really enjoying the gym and the new fast pass is a plus. Staff has been really kind so far.

I decided to go to this location instead of my normal LA…read moreFitness because I was dead set on getting dinner in Chinatown and wouldn't have made it if I went to any other location. The visit started off badly because they locked the doors before 7:20pm even though the location closed at 8pm. There was no staff at the front desk to check anyone in or open the door so a couple people along with me had to wait for another member to open the doors. I had to wait 5 mins for someone to open the door and ironically this delay is what made me have to stay until 7:59 so it bit them back. It seemed like there was only one or two staff working at this location so I feel like this was done to make things more manageable for the employees. However, this just shows bad management Set up: The cardio is separated from the weight section which ideal for me because it prevents me from being distracted whenever someone suddenly lets go of a heavy set of weights. Equipment: 4 The treadmills seemed a bit newer than some of the other ones I've seen at other gyms and the TVs worked! However, I wasn't the biggest fan of it because there was a couple times when my arm/hands hit the handles which has never happened to me before. Also, for some reason there was a 30 min limit on this machine and after you reached it you were forced to do a cool down(though you could override it) The studio was a decent size and nicely lit. It was nice to visit this location but I think I'll stick to my normal location.

So disorganized! It's like a jungle here. The most messy gym I've ever seen. It's a mixed of people…read morefrom the area and bad staff. Tried it once and never again. Tacky and disrespectful people.

If the website says their open, they may be closed. Like today July 5th and of course, closed again tomorrow July 6th. Occasionally they will send out a holiday notice, when they add another day to their lengthy days off. Those emails will go in your spam and you're not likely to see them. Can't tell you the number of countless times I've shown up there disappointed, closed again. Dissatisfied Member

Figured I'd brush off the dust from my ClassPass app, and I found this gym. It was easy to enter…read moreinto the large parking lot right off the feeder road. Walking into the gym, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They told me there were lockers with key locks available. Just give your drivers license to them, and they can loan you a temporary card to insert into the locker to use the key lock. You will get your drivers license back when you leave. The locker room was spacious, bathroom was clean, showers were available, and water fountains/water filling stations were there to quench your thirst. The gym itself was bright and spacious. It's got all the equipment needed to work out. Free weights, a leg press machine, free standing weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, kettle bells, stability balls, medicine balls. Well, I'm sure I've forgotten something. It wasn't packed at all when I came here, which I liked. I was free to use any and all equipment for as long as I needed to. If you're really ambitious, they do offer CrossFit classes at different pricing packages. I, myself, have an aversion to CrossFit. In my opinion, it feels like cardio and weightlifting done too quickly without enough rest in between, which can have the potential to cause an injury. Overall, though, I think this gym will be a regular spot to get some serious working out done.

But it does seem a bit elitist, and also I think the fact that it opens at 5:30 can be a bit of a problem, because if you work here at Memorial City and you start at 8, that might be okay as long as you only want a quick workout, but if you work somewhere else in Houston and you start even as late as 9 then good luck getting done with a 2-hour workout and getting to work in time.
