Been an active member at Kinitro since 2019. I have always enjoyed physical activities but have never been consistent with a specific gym. What made Kinitro special for me was learning how to use all the equipment I would never go near at another gym. Most of all, I learned how to do everything properly with the correct form and improve mobility. All the trainers are easy-going and passionate about teaching. The members are all welcoming and kind. I lost a significant amount of weight during my time here and lowered my blood pressure to a healthy range. The coaches helped with a dieting plan to help guide my goals. The classes are perfect for all skill sets and learning new exercises!

Kinitro is a very welcoming gym, where you can sign up for open gym access, classes, or both! The new facility is really nice, and there's so much room. The owner is very personable, as well as the coaches, which makes it a nice community to workout with. Other members of the gym are just as welcoming and helpful, so it's a nice environment to be in.

Yelp Review Kinitro is the best gym I've ever been to - without a doubt. The space is has the aesthetics, the cleanliness, equipment you never knew you needed, and best of all staff who deeply care about your whole health. I had the pleasure of working with Mike and Daisy on shoulder and hip pain that had accumulated over years of slouching at my desk. They both thoroughly evaluated my current condition and provided treatment on the spot. Moreover, they developed a workout plan targeting those specific areas to improve my overall health and life. When I entered the gym, I could barely lift my shoulder past 180 degrees. After working with both therapists, my shoulder now has a full rotation without pain. In additional to the medical treatment, the moral support and encouragement for someone who hasn't worked out in a while was uplifting. Mike worked with me the second day and found spots of my body a typical online workout plan would never think to work. This individualized treatment has me feeling like the high school version of myself again. The gym itself brings about a vibe that feels like your family wanting to see you perform at your best. The owner John is there to share stories, provide enthusiasm, and most importantly he's ready to support you on your journey to being your optimal self. I've never written a gym review, so this shows how impressed I was with Kinitro. Skip the crowds, skip the mindless workouts, skip the worn down equipment, and come find a way back to your holistic self at Kinitro.

Big big shout out to John and everyone at Kinitro. Been going since the gym in Chinatown. As a trainer myself, I believe in what they stand for and do there. Side note... I train at 24 hour fitness and still go here to workout . They have great coaches, members, and a awesome sense of family. Bonus is their in house massage therapist that gets me right! Julie always gets me going in the right direction for recovery and discusses with me what the cause of them issue is and how to fix it. A coach/trainer tha understands what we as "athletes" (Muay Thai for me) do and need! Today was my best day in over a month I've thrown switch kicks hitting pads with my boy pain free! This is a place not just to get in shape, but perform better for everyday life and have fun doing it!

My favorite gym in Houston!! I've been working out here for a while now, and there's just something about Kinitro that sets it apart from other gyms. As someone who didn't previously lift weights, I really appreciate how knowledgeable John and the other trainers are. They really care about form and are always happy to help or answer questions, even outside of group classes. I can now confidently walk up to a squat rack without feeling intimidated haha! The new gym space is also soooo nice and spacious!! The equipment is well maintained, bathrooms/locker rooms are clean, and there's a water bottle filling station! Kinitro is more than a gym, it's a community!!

The transition from a commercial gym to Kinitro is like night and day. A commercial gym would be a dark, seedy night in Gotham city, where the city is covered in trash fires. Kinitro is an amazing place and most importantly an amazing community. The gym does not have fancy machines, but utilizes free weights and bands. Classes are curated daily for students and structured as a program--this takes out the guess work for beginners to try and figure out what to do at the gym. The best part is that the classes are lead by certified coaches in intimate-sized classes, which allows for more direct interaction with the coaches, almost like your own personal trainer. Kinitro is truly one of its kind, an experience unlike any other. I look forward to going to class and try my very best to drive all the way from work (I work 3 days a week in Humble/Spring and 2 days a week in Southwest/Southeast) just to make it to my 6:30pm class. I look forward to the different challenges every week and recording my new record. The facility also offers personal training, nutritional planning, body weight assessment and analysis, massage therapy, and specially focused Strong Man classes lead by coaches who've placed competitively. My mentality and outlook on fitness has changed and I've learned a lot in my time here as a member!

I've been trying to make myself consistently go a gym for over 10 years. I just can't. I'm not motivated, I dislike working out, I don't feel knowledgeable enough to do stuff without hurting myself, and it's intimidating to work out with people who seem so much faster and stronger than you. At Kinitro, the classes are structured in a way that you get personalized attention and adjustment, but with a group of people who are really supportive, fun, and dedicated. You actually find yourself looking forward to class because the people here are more of a community then strangers you sweat next to. The trainers are really great - patient and experienced, but will brook no excuses when you're copping out and not pushing yourself 100%. Location is great and lots of different class schedule options for flexibility. I've tried 24Hr (blEGH, see my review to see how I really feel) and I've tried hot yoga, personal training, and I think I may just have found something that will actually stick. Also, the boxing classes on Sunday are pretty awesome.

Wrapping up a 1 on 1 with the big man himself!

I was never a fan of the small gyms. I'd always gone to 24Hr or LaFitness but Kinitro really changed my mind. The bootcamp classes keep it interesting, it's always challenging, different and it's a total body workout. Of course there's also open gym if you want to do your own thing. For me personally, I've seen results in just a matter of 2-3 months vs. working out for 6+ months at 24 (and I used to have personal trainers working with me). Everyone there is really nice, equipment is clean and a lot of it, you don't see at a normal gym. The owner takes the time to explain how to use what's in the gym properly. He also provides supplemental services such as physical therapy through another professional and has this machine that measures all your fat, muscle, whatever, you name it, in your body and how much more you need to lose. If I didn't have Kinitro, I would probably only see the inside of a gym once a week. This place and the people, continue to keep me motivated to keep coming back.

I decided to go to this location instead of my normal LA…read moreFitness because I was dead set on getting dinner in Chinatown and wouldn't have made it if I went to any other location. The visit started off badly because they locked the doors before 7:20pm even though the location closed at 8pm. There was no staff at the front desk to check anyone in or open the door so a couple people along with me had to wait for another member to open the doors. I had to wait 5 mins for someone to open the door and ironically this delay is what made me have to stay until 7:59 so it bit them back. It seemed like there was only one or two staff working at this location so I feel like this was done to make things more manageable for the employees. However, this just shows bad management Set up: The cardio is separated from the weight section which ideal for me because it prevents me from being distracted whenever someone suddenly lets go of a heavy set of weights. Equipment: 4 The treadmills seemed a bit newer than some of the other ones I've seen at other gyms and the TVs worked! However, I wasn't the biggest fan of it because there was a couple times when my arm/hands hit the handles which has never happened to me before. Also, for some reason there was a 30 min limit on this machine and after you reached it you were forced to do a cool down(though you could override it) The studio was a decent size and nicely lit. It was nice to visit this location but I think I'll stick to my normal location.

The facilities are well maintained, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable visit. Whether for fitness, recreation, or social time, the space feels thoughtfully designed. The staff is professional, friendly, and always helpful. The overall environment is welcoming and well organized, making it easy to relax and enjoy your time there. But it does seem a bit elitist, and also I think the fact that it opens at 5:30 can be a bit of a problem, because if you work here at Memorial City and you start at 8, that might be okay as long as you only want a quick workout, but if you work somewhere else in Houston and you start even as late as 9 then good luck getting done with a 2-hour workout and getting to work in time.
