I was referred by my property manager boss. My fave LA Fitness shut down on Bellflower blvd and I needed a change. This place validates parking for 2 hrs so that's awesome! I got greeted by the membership team and Geo(?) was really nice and answered all my questions and had someone come talk to me about the the fitness weight and fat checking machine. Pretty cool! Anyway, I signed up in June and have been coming because of my trainer, Mandee, AND the sauna and massage chairs! Only things missing are a pool & the red light machines but I go to PF for that. Things I need to figure out is when to come. It gets busy and sometimes all the booty machines are taken. Also, someone punched one of the punching bags so hard that it broke off the hook. Everything broken all the time. Employee's blast music WAY TOO LOUD throughout the gym speakers and even play their huge personal speaker music by the gym entrance. Unlike anything you've ever seen before. Also the paper towels are rarely filled to wipe down machines and the ac on the bottom floor has never worked. Like ever. They also have nothing playing on the gym TV's besides them promoting their personal trainers so you can book a session. Ridiculous. read more

The girl at the front desk just blatantly lied to me over the phone. Calling from the sauna... Me: hey the sauna isn't working. Customer service: The sauna hasn't been working for a long time. POV: me the very night before, in the HOT "broken" sauna. Me: I was here last night and it was working perfectly fine. Also, there isn't even a sign. Her: oh there should be a sign. [Hmmm, if it is an amenity that is broken wouldn't it be a safety violation for your thousands of patrons to have no signage for your sauna "that has been broken for a long time" ] Her (backtracking): oh, actually we have no way of turning the sauna on and off. [I was shocked at her audacity, because even after being caught in her lie. No remorse. Not even a slight apology. Which leads me to believe she is so solid with her supervisors who allow her to do stuff like this to not even apologies for her lie.] I walked out of the sauna to the majority of them hanging out in the customer service area - knowing they just watched her lie to me. Again makes me believe that their management not only allows her behavior, but most likely endorses it. Literally afraid to complain because I'm for sure going to be silenced. I'll figure out something. But for now this review will do. Customer service is abysmal, and second to their "hang out" time. Hopefully someone see's this and gets new management where customer service is at least somewhere in the building or at the very least much needed coaching for the entire team. Or a governing body to really audit and check what is going on with their lack of signage and the safety of the working-not-working amenities. Signed up as a new EOS member. Multiple gym membership. This is a new gym! Plenty of parking in the parking structure. Only 2 hrs validation. So keep in mind, if you go over your 2hrs of workout. You will have to pay extra. Everything is brand spanking new inside this gym. New weights, new equipment, new bathrooms.. etc! This will last for at least 5 to 6 years until mold accumulates and machines starts breaking down. So I would join right now to enjoy the clean amenities. Perfect time. All is pending on the up keeping on everything. If people are trash, in no time this place will be destroyed. This place is 24hrs 7 days a week! Awesome place. Staff is very friendly. A warning... this gym gets super packed!! Good luck on finding equipment to workout in Peak hours. Plenty of Eye candy :) just saying. I recommend this gym. Only negative thing, you have to inform the staff to activate the massage chairs or water massager. The other EOS gyms i have been too lets yourepeat scan by using your phone. Very overcrowded. Can't do a workout program because every machine is taken. Members are camped out on a machine on their phones, texting , or doing videos of their lame exercise attempts. They lay down in the Sled lanes to stretch out? Many machines are not maintained with missing handles, missing numbers, squeaky noises etc... Anyway, not a good workout experience for us. read more

We left 24 Hour Fitness to join EOS mostly because the gym, the locker rooms, and the showers were filthy. Then after complaining several times we realized that nothing will ever get done. EOS seems to be newer and cleaner, but I'm starting to find that the showers are dirty. The shampoo and conditioner bottle were on the floor and peoples used. Soaps were in the shower and that the gym is not being consistently maintained. It is very busy, and I completely understand that the staff is never going to stop trying to get more and more memberships, but if it's not going to be clean and it's going to be too busy. It will simply fall into a disarray. I'm hoping somebody is keeping an eye on cleanliness at all times. read more

After belonging to Golds for many years, I have tried to Adjust to EOS, but it's just not a good fit. 1: WAY! To overcrowded and well over occupancy for a person to get a proper continuous workout in. 2:Many people just standing and congregating around the equipment disrespectfully and not actually using the gym equipment. 3: Way to many selfies being taken while in the equipment 4: The additional fees are insane. The fees I'm talking about are bc I needed to freeze or cancel my gym membership. They claim it's "month to month" but when I tried to cancel they had fees for every single option I inquired about. Also they were requiring me to pay for my annual fee prior to freezing or canceling my membership on top of the fees for $5 a month, $49 to downgrade, and another $30 to cancel. I had a death in the family, my father unexpectedly died and where I am located temporarily does not offer gyms. EOS was not willing to work with at all. Due to their lack of concern for their members, still trying to make money off of them no matter what option they choose..... just be careful. The gym was amazing before when it was Golds. Now, it's a low grade gym trying to persuade Luxury accommodations.... But if you're serious about your workout, you will never get it done in sufficient time. What would normally take 1-1.5 hours will take you 2-2.5 due to the "influencer" want to bes being allowed to occupy equipment for their social media needs. If you're wanting a place that's not trying to make you pay fees for every single option they have.... I'd try another local gym. I thought the change wouldn't make a difference, unfortunately it has. This gym now has a 2.2 Yelp rating. Keep that in mind. The reviews are there and are usually a pretty good tell sign for what you're going to experience. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare now. I am an OG golds on pine member (wow I miss that gym) and ever since EoS took over its an absolute mess. The vibe has crashed. I no longer look forward to working out because its so freaking crowded with people on their phones. There has been zero improvements do e, just packing more and more members into a space with the same amount of equipment. Machines arent fixed quickly, the air conditioner is a mess downstairs, and half of the machine pulleys use carribeaners that are LOCKED so you cant change attachments. Like what?? What a mess. This is a prime example of corporate greed ruining a good thing. I cant believe im even CONSIDERING checking out planet fitness, but eos feels like the new joke of the gym world. This gym is terrible. It's soooooo crowded. I can never make it through my entire workout because machines are always busy. I try to come a different times during the day and night and it's always busy. Even though it's packed, there's usually signs up for membership drives. It always frustrates me because, how can you keep recruiting more people to go to the gym if you can't even serve the people that have been going here since it opened? Formerly Gold's Gym, it appears that the employees under new management are much more calm and not as aggressive (sales people anyway). Still do not like sharing the parking structure with the Pike as it can be a pain in the "arse" during peak times or charged a completely ridiculous rate during special events (If you live nearby you can walk). read more

This place went downhill fast once EOS took over. After 10 years with Golds it's time to move on. When it was owned by Golds the place was always clean and equipment always working. Now only a few months later and the place is falling apart. Machines are broken more often and the place is filthy at 5am! Do you not clean at night anymore? There's no reason a gym that closes at night should still be dirty from the day before at 5am. Paper towels are always empty which means all the equipment is also dirty. It's 10-15 degrees hotter downstairs and really humid. There's always some kind of leak down there too. Sauna works about 50% of the time and I don't think they've cleaned in there since the merger. I came from the OG pine location and have stuck around for years waiting for this new gym. Now it's no better than the 24 hour fitness across the street and with $9 membership fees don't look for improvement. To summarize. Go to another gym. read more

Not sure why it has such a low rating. I found this gym using ClassPass and it's the reason why I chose to become an EOS member. The women's dry sauna is pretty small in comparison to other locations. The temperature is also not consistently hot. The bathrooms are always clean. I do wish they had more treadmills. Overall great gym. Cell reception is bad but there's free WiFi. read more

Super clean gym everyone here is pretty friendly and the parking is not bad at all even though it might seem that way. Park on the third floor don't forget to take your ticket and scan it for validation on your way out of the gym. Youll automatically be let out of the parking structure. They do have a great selection of free weights and some machine machines that other EOS do not have not a bad value for the price. I do wish it opened a little earlier though. read more

This is an enormous gym with about everything you could want. It was crowded, but patrons were friendly.

When this location was Gold's Gym, it felt exclusive and intentional. The higher membership cost made sense because it came with: A more serious, focused training environment Generally higher-caliber members who respected the space Great hip music that matched the gym culture An overall sense of quality, pride, and identity tied to the Gold's brand It wasn't just "a gym" - it was Gold's. That name had meaning, history, and standards behind it. Since the switch to EOS, the entire atmosphere has changed, and not for the better: There's more crowding, more kids and casual traffic, and a lot less respect for the space. The environment feels louder, less focused, and less intentional. Equipment seems to be breaking down more often, and overall maintenance/quality doesn't feel at the level it once was. On top of that, original Gold's members have taken a clear loss: Our prices did not go down, even though the brand and experience downgraded. We lost the benefit of going to the Venice "Mecca" location 14 times a year, which was a major selling point for many of us. We originally signed up and paid a premium for Gold's Gym - a brand with a strong legacy in bodybuilding, fitness culture, and standards. We did not sign up for a generic, budget-style gym experience. The whole transition feels like a money grab, where the company benefits from the Gold's legacy and pricing, but delivers a completely different, lower-tier product under EOS. As original Gold's members, we've essentially been stripped of the brand, the benefits, and the atmosphere we paid for, without any real compensation, price adjustment, or meaningful acknowledgment. In short: We didn't pay to be members of just any regular gym. We paid for Gold's - for the brand, the culture, the quality, and the access that came with it. One of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had at a gym. During a class full of women, GM Daniel Hernandez, brought a man into the studio and they stood there smirking and staring at women's bodies while we were doing squats. It was objectifying, extremely uncomfortable, and completely inappropriate. As a general manager, he should have known better. Non-participants aren't allowed in the room during class, yet he chose to interrupt the workout and allow it anyway. When I called to address it, Daniel was rude, dismissive, and immature. He talked over me, repeated my full name out loud numerous times, and even gave me a fake customer service number. His behavior showed zero regard for member safety or comfort. His blatant disrespect for customers and complete lack of professionalism were shocking. The management transition from Gold's to EoS has been terrible, and Daniel Hernandez's leadership is taking the gym in a very bad direction. read more

This "Gym" and I use that word loosely, is an utter shit show. The saddest excuse for a fitness club, makes planet fitness feel like a resort. There's literally nothing positive to say about this place other than the nice restroom and the feeling of joy you get when you finally get away from this glorified can of sardines. Too many people, especially un serious ones. Nobody respects personal space AT ALL. Weird sarcastic vibed staff, piece of shit equipment with not enough space or selection. How is the place full of equipment but still isn't at the same damn time. Very uncomfortable machines with holes. Just a pure waste of money. I could think of so many other ways to spend the money. I had been a member of Gold's Gym since they were first located on Pine Avenue, then temporarily moved to 4th Street, then on to the location at the Pike. EOS acquired the gym and has maintained -- even making some improvements with the equipment. I'm an early riser, at the gym at 5:00 a.m. weekdays and love the sense of community with the regulars who were Gold Gym members, along with many new faces who bring good energy. Another bright spot is the morning staff -- Sandra and Ale who open the gym at 5:00 a.m. on time, greet everyone with a smile, and both have positive energy and are always very helpful. Also a shout out to Bre, the new manager and Byron, a trainer who contribute to making this gym a great experience! read more

My boyfriend had a horrible experience with personal trainer (Fernando) which was his first session by the way . He immediately wanted to cancel all sessions and membership. We called canceled the membership and spoke Plenty of employees such as Duncan , Giovanni , Marisela , Clayton and Ricardo nothing was every done got charged over 600 dollars for services even though according to fine print in there policy you have a week to cancel everything and have your money returned . Until this day nothing has been done . I had to cancel my cards just so that I wouldn't be charged anymore . There is a lot of miscommunication and the employees need to be retrained on SBAR amongst themselves. They were quick to take the money but not quick to fix the problem. Well, we ended up meeting with Andrew Beard at the Cerritos location and were very pleased that he was able to work things out for us. To be honest, I'm glad things went well because I love all of the locations options and the LB club is GREAT. I've been really disappointed with my experiences at EOS Fitness. The staff consistently come across as rude and unhelpful, and it feels like basic customer service is missing. Simple questions are met with attitude, and there's very little effort to be welcoming or respectful. A gym should feel motivating and supportive, but the energy here makes it uncomfortable to even ask for help. Went in to make this my home gym and change my plan (since this isn't a premier location) was lied to and told that I'd have to pay a $100 downgrade fee and another annual fee. Then the GM got involved and the fee dropped to a $50 downgrade fee and another annual fee. Asked to see this in writing as I had already reviewed my contract and it's not listed. The GM could not show it to me in writing. Called customer service and they hadn't heard of that fee. Called my old location and two others and they also hadn't heard of this mystery fee. WARNING FOR NEW MEMBERS: I wanted to cancel my member ship in the 17th because I have been unhappy with the switch to EoS and the past year of poor custodial services. My next billing date is on the 4th of the coming month and despite what should've been considerable notice, I am forced to pay for my next billing cycle. Apparently you have to give a 30 day notice to cancel, wish they would've given us a 30 day notice that they were switching ownership. So I'm updating this because of EoS policy regarding training sessions. I have a medical condition and sometimes get unannounced episodes from my condition, when it was golds gym I could cancel the morning of if I needed to without a problem, just by simply letting my trainer know I wasn't well. My session would be then moved to another date and not forfeited. Fast forward to EoS and my trainer getting promoted I was put with a new trainer who took my sessions away because I wasn't giving him 24 hour notice. How am I supposed to know I'm going to be sick the morning of? I don't know when I'm going to have episodes, they just happen. So I forfeited 2 sessions and he was going to "try" and get them back for me but I needed to provide a doctors note regarding my medical condition. I'm sorry but no. I didn't sign up for this. Golds didn't make me provide a doctors note and I paid for these sessions when it was golds, and like I said before had I known this would have become EōS, I wouldn't have paid for a year in advance OR training. I'm really annoyed because I can't get this money back. This has set me back a lot and I think it's ridiculous to ask for a persons medical information, it's not any of your business. Especially when I signed up for the sessions before this rule was implemented. How can someone know if they'll be sick in advance in order to give a 24 hour notice. This is stupid and a rip off. I was messaged to contact them to work something out and unless you're going to refund me my unused sessions and remainder of the year you can f*** right off and not message me again. Your "rules" are stupid, your policies are enabling people to film others working out without consent. I honestly didn't want this, I didn't ask for it and now I'm stuck with a gym membership to a gym I don't want to go to. Money not well spent. The machines are still heavily impacted, people are still influencing in the wild and many of the machines (treadmills and bikes) aren't working properly. Don't go here, find yourself a new gym. Been going to this gym for a couple months now and genuinely I have not had any issues! I've almost never have to wait to use a machine and when I do there's another machine I can use instead. It goes get a bit stuffy in the lower level at peak times but I enjoy everything else this gym offers. read more
