The best part of the "new" EOS is that it's only a seven hour drive to the Scottsdale gym and your membership allows you to work out there as well. If I could describe the Valencia EOS, in three words, it would be "REPAIR IN PROGRESS". In fact, leave your weight belt at home and bring your tool belt instead. I've trained at EOS gyms throughout Arizona and they are always well maintained. When EOS purchased the Valencia Golds Gym I was initially excited. The Gold's Gym needed some serious upgrades and I thought EOS would get after it. Unfortunately, after all the Golds Gym signs were taken down, the maintenance crew jumped ship. The original weight machines from when the gym opened 14 years ago are falling apart. The only thing that's guaranteed to work is the merchant account debiting your bank account every month. The other day I walked by four treadmills before I found one that worked. There is one cable crossover machine that has been broken for nearly 6 months. It sits in the middle of the gym with an aging "Repair in Progress" sign. The sign should read "Rest in Peace". It's become the new gym mascot. I think we should give it a name and decorate it for the holidays, because management won't do anything about it. HMU if you guys want to start a GoFundMe account to get it fixed. Nicer gyms repair broken equipment immediately, but EOS lets them sit and rot. Meanwhile, the gym hosts never ending membership drives and it's undoubtedly working, because the gym is packed. EOS mailers pour out of my mailbox. I can't imagine how much they're spending on marketing, but sadly, there is nothing left in the budget for maintenance and upgrades. The only notable improvements I've seen are modern business signs on the exterior and pretty So Cal paintings on the walls. If you are an older or advanced trainer avoid this gym at all costs, unless of course you're going to one of the classes, I hear those are OK With the unrelenting crowds due to low membership fees, gym etiquette is marginal. With that said, imagine what wonders await you in the men's locker room. You'll have to skillfully navigate through hoards of skinny/fat dudes taking shirtless selfies. I've photo bombed several of them just walking by minding my own business. Sometimes you're treated to a guy blasting rap music out of his iPhone for everyone's listening pleasure. The adjacent bathrooms are always foul smelling. One morning, I had to walk through sewage water to wash my hands because of the never-ending drainage issues. You may want to throw your galoshes in the gym bag just in case. The sink / soap dispensers work infrequently and now one of the hand dryers has the ubiquitous "Repair in Progress" sign. Don't buy it, it's false advertising. There will be no repair, nor any progress; it's been broken for weeks. You'll have to lineup to dry your hands from here on out. After several years of membership at this location, I have decided to join another gym. A few of my friends have already left, and I will follow them. All things considered, EOS Valencia isn't that bad of a gym, it's worse. read more

Located in the Town Center, parking is ample, if you come at the right time. The gym is spacious with plenty of machines. It was a bit busy around 11 am on a weekday, but I appreciated how cool and comfortable it was. They only have a separate steam room here, which I hoped would be a dry sauna, but no luck. The amenities are pretty good, especially since there's a mall within walking distance. If you're choosing EOS, their amenities might give them an edge over LA Fitness, which has three locations nearby and a dry sauna option. read more

EoS stands for "End of Service". This is alluding to the constant state of disrepair the equipment and supporting facilities are in. Once it breaks- it's not coming back. I've been using the same broken Pec Fly machine for literal months. Thanks to the ingenuity of the people of Santa Clarita, we have propped the seat up with weights and continue to use it regardless. This isn't even mentioning any bathroom stalls and fixtures that are constantly out of order. If I could give this place a zero, I would. I usually go to the Northridge EōS but I had business out here so I decided to go to the eos Valencia. I am so disappointed, the machines need maintenance especially the treadmills as more than half of them were out of service. I left after 15 min because the facility did not have an escape room and no treadmills available due to broken equipment. I'm embarrassed for this place. read more

I have been going to this EOS for 6months or more. My medical insurance gets me a membership at no cost to me. I'm in a lot of pain everyday caused by a sciatica nerve disabipity. To day I was told not to come in because my membership was terminated. They claim I violated company policy when I was late leaving the gym. Yes, I was maybe 5 or 10 minutes leaving past 7pm but they told me not to worry that they had cleaning to do. At no time did they ever say that they would terminate my membership because of that. I think it is really a discrimination issue. Pure discrimination. I am a professional person and would not want to cause any problems. read more

The worst gym ever. Everything is broken or unusable and stays that way no matter how many times the issue is reported. The equipment is always dirty and sweat stained. The paper towel dispensers are routinely empty and the spray bottles with cleaner are empty as well. The locker room is disgusting, dirty, and just gross. The steam room is rarely open. This gym is fine, honestly not sure what everyone's complaining about. I was at Gold's from day one, and since becoming EōS, it's stayed pretty much the same. Machines need repair sometimes, it happens, that's gym life. I'm there four days a week and never saw a cable machine down for six months, and there are several to pick from anyway. Yeah, the pec machine seat needing to be propped up for months is very annoying, but there is another pec machine, and several other ways to work pec muscles, so not sure what the deal is. So mention it to management and move on. Dirtier now? I see vacuuming and mopping going on throughout the day. If you want it spotless, wipe down the machines yourself after you use them (which most people don't), that's on you too, not just staff. Paper towels have always been there when I needed them, never seen them run out. Does it happen from time to time? Probably, but they have three areas on the second floor to get paper towels and spray bottles, and they're not all out at the same time. Can't speak to the showers, but the men's locker room sink area gets the same so-so attention it always did under Gold's. Nothing's changed there, so not sure why that's suddenly a new thing EoS brought in. It does get busy and sometimes you wait for a machine, welcome to literally every gym in every city. That's not a flaw, that's just what a popular gym looks like. But aside from a broken machine or two (which they have other machines you can use anyway), the real problem stopping people from working out is people camping out on a machine, scrolling on their phone for five to ten minutes while others wait. You're there to work out. Work out, then move on. read more

Great staff, terrible everything else. Ever since EōS took over, this place has fallen hard from grace and it's so disappointing to see. There's a fine line between cutting corners and just giving up. I left the country for a couple weeks and came back to see the same machines waiting for repairs. This was a very rare sight when Gold's was managing the place. Not even a quarter million dollar renovation under Gold's could save this place from EōS' lack of care. I have seen it go down hill in just a couple of months. Unfortunately, it seems management doesn't care. I have spoken to management more than a few times with little or no change. honestly this place is such a scam. like yeah their equipments and space are nice but it's only because it used to a gold gym. the service is ass and their deals suck. the service is also rude here and they arent really good at consulting. all they want is your money. after my tour i went on a trip and until i came back to make an appointment this guy named josh called me every other day even after i hung up multiple times. they were also rude to my dad and profiled my mom. all i wanted to do was get a gym membership for the summer while i was back from college and they have no deals for students so i just wasted my money because i cant even cancel my membership until september even though i requested the cancellation in july. read more

I have been Gold gym member since 2014. I have never seen so many broken machines in this gym. Since change EŌS there has been a significant lack of maintenance. And many of my fellow gym friends have left and gone to other gyms. I really hope this gym starts to take maintenance seriously. read more

Sydney is a breathe of fresh air helping me with everything I need to work on (And I made a new friend). We also did the In-Body Scan and explained where I'm at and where I'm going to be. Very disappointed with this gym. I was hoping that the change in ownership will address basic issues but it has gotten worse. The steam room has been out of order for a long time, six out of 24 threadmills are not working, the men's locker room is filthy with water seeping on the toilet floor. I was actually excited when EōS took over this location from Gold's Gym because I thought it would be an upgrade. Unfortunately, it's gone in the opposite direction. Yes, the memberships are much cheaper now, but the tradeoff is obvious the second you walk in. The gym is absolutely overcrowded, machines are constantly broken, and the cleanliness has seriously declined. The cardio area is especially bad. The stair climbers and other cardio machines are covered in layers of dried sweat and grime. Not just "busy gym" dirty -- genuinely filthy. The bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers are also gross more often than not. Back when this was Gold's, there were employees constantly cleaning, mopping, and wiping down equipment throughout the day. That no longer seems to happen. It's honestly shocking how fast the place has deteriorated with the heavier traffic and lack of upkeep. I tried to give it time after the transition, but it's only gotten worse. At this point, I'm looking for another gym because I just can't get past how dirty this place has become. read more

I started at this gym in Feb of this year. Paid my $10 and then $59 two weeks later. Never been late!!! So March comes and I pay for March through the app. So for April I decide I wanna pay it early on March 24th, my initial thought was to pay for the rest of the year, but I wanted to test the app out first by doing one month in advance first. I pay it, then when April comes around my account was charged $18. I talked to a few staff members there, those ladies was very nice and helped me as much as I as they could, even told me the transaction was strange and that they'll leave a note for the manager. After three weeks goes (last week of April) by I finally catch up with the manager "Justin" and he tells me don't worry I will credit you for the month of May. May billing date comes and I'm charged $24.99 and I'm supposed to be accredited for this month. Mind you my bill is $9.99! I tell him the issue and he acts like he never said that and says he talked to upper management and they didn't want to credit me because I'm a new member (whatever that means). So I send an email to whoever upper management is and have been getting the run around since. They credit me for June completely ignoring the $24.99 saying the payment was late, when I was specifically told I would be credited for that month. Now they put my membership on cancellation pending without addressing my situation fully. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! I have patronized this business by buying things daily inside the gym etc. and to be treated nonchalantly as a paying customer is beyond disrespectful. read more

I don't make a habit of writing negative reviews. In fact, I rarely write a negative review. But here goes... I've spent a lot of money at Gold's and consistently bought training packages ever since I've been a member. When this was Gold's gym, it was great. Then EOS took over. :( I was going to Gold's gym at least twice a week to meet with my trainer and had been doing that since I joined the gym. Then EOS took over. Ugh. One thing they did was they put a diffusing system with a heavy chemical smell thinking they're trying to make it like a spa experience. The "aromatherapy" they are shooting through the system is a chemical...a disgusting smell that is made a lot of us sick to our stomach, given us headaches and made us nauseous. Not everyone has complained, but enough of us have. There was never a need for this because when it was Gold's, there was never a smell that needed to be addressed. It was fine and it did not need this chemical endocrine disruptor wafting through the air. I get headaches, sick to my stomach, nauseous and dizzy when I'm there. I have to stay away from the diffusers and stay close to the front door where there's more air circulation so I don't get sick while I'm working out. I have brought this up to the managers at the club who are on site and they understand and they've heard comments also but they can't do anything about it because it's a "corporate decision". I've sent a letter to corporate asking them to please stop diffusing that disgusting smell. It smell smells like rat poison. I'm trained in aromatherapy. I'm a doctor and clinician. I personally use aromatherapy on a regular basis and I understand endocrine disruption. No one in that gym needs endocrine disruption. It's a bad thing. I'm very aware of the benefits of aromatherapy, but this is not an aromatherapy. It's chemicals being diffused in the air that are not necessary and that are actually harmful. I filled out surveys sent to me after my workouts asking me if there's anything I'd like to improve. I filled out the surveys. I've sent letters to corporate EOS. No one has ever responded from corporate to the emails or to the surveys. Unfortunately, after these last few training sessions are left from this current package I bought, I'm going to have to leave my trainer who I adore and who has helped me tremendously. I'm going to have to leave EOS. I do not recommend EOS. Also, the bathroom stalls seem to always have at least one or two that are closed with a "not working" sign. The steam room often is also closed for "not working". I also hear about machines that are not working. I hear there is one man responsible for several EOS gyms and he has to cover all of them for machine repairs. The people who work there on a daily basis and the staff are great. A lot of them were on staff with Golds. But the lack of interest from corporate about the members' concerns is a big turn off. Even though they ask for feedback they don't respond or take into consideration the comments made and the resistance to change something that is so disruptive to health and not appreciated by the gym members, is a huge turn off and disappointment. So unfortunately, I have to leave. The only reason for one star, is because I like the people who work there... the staff is great. Without that in the equation there would be zero stars. read more

Went in after school and they told me I needed a parent to sign up so I came back after work with my mom and then they proceeded to tell me that they cant do sign ups after 9pm when it was 8:50pm. I work at a grocery store so I understand how annoying it can be to have someone walk in last minute, but you NEVER deny service even if it's at your annoyance. I thought that maybe after the rebrand the service would've gotten better but it's still just as bad as before, all the employees are Mr and Mrs Pillsbury dough boys, and don't even get me started on the wanna be Dolly Parton working there. The woman's steam room has been closed for a month now and hasn't been fixed. We pay for our membership to have these amenities. When I asked about it they always say they are waiting for parts which seem unlikely at this point. Also they have one punching bag upstairs that was taken down when Golds changed to Eos. When I asked about it they said they are waiting for parts. So I guess we have to wait for parts for everything. The boxing bag helps me with my training. Front desk definitely needs improvement there was a girl who was blonde and she just didn't really acknowledge us until she stopped talking to her friend.
