01/28/23 Since I was meeting friends for dinner in this area, I decided to try out a local nail spot (I'm still looking for a nail spot the past 2 years because my nail tech no longer does nails). A year ago I got an infection from a nail shop hence the reason I'm cautious about getting my mani & pedi done. I actually don't mind paying a little more if I know that the shop is sanitary. I got a mani and pedi (non gel). I find that shops will always push you to have the gels done. It's a personal preference not to have gel done. I had it done years ago and it thinned out my nails. I'm sure gel products and the processes have improved but no thanks. Staff - the two ladies that did my service were both nice, the receptionist was as well. Service - my pedi wasn't bad, it was decent. My mani - the polish would bubble up on certain spots. It was the same polish as my pedi but I felt like she was rushing and didn't apply even thin first layer. It showed when she did a super thick second layer that didn't cover my whole nail. I had to show her spots that had gaps. Tools - the real reason why I'm writing this review. They advertise that their nail equipment is sanitized, etc. I even saw them open a new pack infront of me. That's really not the case. Since I was sitting near the sink, I saw all of the workers come over and rinse their tools under the faucet. Some would scrub it with a brush but all they did was that, pat dry it on the towel on the counter and put it in a new plastic sleeve. That is not sanitizing the equipment. It wasn't just an isolated incident, all of the staff including the ladies that did work on my nails, did the same thing. Also, they bowls they use for our hands is just put in the drawer/cabinet under the sink. They don't even rinse it out. I don't know if the workers just grab from that stack when they fill up the bowls with water or does someone wash them. This place doesn't sanitize their nail tools between clients. You are warned.
Only putting to star because of the customer service receptionist was super nice and Linda very sweet However in the photo as you can see I have swellness and I think it's even possibly infected I went in to take out one ingrown nail and I ended up having a little more than one but the total that you see on the photo only had one in wrong now but she still took out some of my skin on the side that was perfectly fine it did not hurt I have no problem with that one side and now it's infected painful and swollen I don't know if it's because she used dirty tools or the fact that she just really injured me On top of that it was taking longer than I was expecting also I paid $60 just for a pedicure with gel maybe that is a fair price but in my opinion it's a little pricey I'm sure this never happens but I am just sharing my experience so this business can grow and learn from its mistakes
I came here on a Monday morning after requesting an appointment through Yelp. The person who made my appointment (I think the owner) was super helpful and informative). I came in for a gel pedicure and a gel full set; it took about an hour and a half and I paid $95. Linda did my pedicure and JJ did my manicure and they both did a really great job! Linda initially did a regular pedicure by accident but was nice enough to remove all the polish to do the gel that I wanted (even after I told her it was okay). I did cut up a bit on my pinky but to me it's not a huge deal. The receptionist was also really nice and answred any questions I had! The only thing I didn't really like was that I noticed they didn't open a new package of tools (nail clippers, cuticle clippers, etc). It's not a huge deal but I just think it's so much more sanitary and my old salon used to do this. Besides that, the salon itself was pretty clean and the employees who didn't have any clients were sweeping and wiping stuff down. I'll be returning to this salon!
Yesterday (11/28/2021) was my second time visit this shop. I had a great experience the first time with Nancy and another artist. But this time's service quality definitely not good. My manicurist not only applied the gel so poorly that I found out the nail polish was uneven under the sunlight, also I found out he trimmed too much cuticles that I can see the cut on my finger and it hurts when I touched water . The artist Hannah was doing ok for drawing but when I came home I found out there are air bubbles on the art also the strokes was really rough. I'm satisfied with the pedicure service, but with manicure service like this, I AM NOT SATISFIED with it for 150+20 tips.
I frequent two salons and this is one of them. It's very close to my house and they always do an excellent job. I frequent two because depending on my route home from work, convenience is more important lol However, this place consistently delivers and on weekends it's definitely my go to. Pros for me: Tons of color options for gel Complimentary wine and they're generous with their portions I've always gotten a spot as a walk-in Can pay and tip with card. This is especially convenient bc some places only accept cash tip and lets be honest, who carries cash all the time?
Worst nail experience. I have been getting my nails done for years. I came to FUMA because their hours were convenient. The place looks good. As a regular Bailey customer here are my issues. Bad customer service Seating is uncomfortable if you only get your hands done. Took over an hour to finish my nails. Basic squoval shape. Each mail had a different thickness Sloppy spread of the acrylic This might be tmi, but I've been trying over an hour to take off the nails. See picture to look at the thickness of the nails The painting of the gel polish was super sloppy. For the first time ever I saw the polish crease
Very friendly staff and with great customer service. I love the vibes and the feel of the environment. Very cute, classy and spacious salon. It was 5 of us that had pedis & manis done. I love my nails. They are kid friendly. As far as the price, it's was 493$ for 2 signature plus Gel manicures, 1 kids reg toes and nails polish, 1 full face wax, 1 full set Gel X, 3 signature for plus Gel pedicures and 1 signature plus pedicure. Def recommend and will come back.
I requested an appointment and I appreciated that I got a quick message and was able to come in the same day they had an appointment available for me I was attended by Lily I believe that was her name I tried to remember my best her name but she did an amazing job on my nails I haven't done gel nails in a long time I was kind off lost and I wasn't sure what color to choose I chose a color for the holidays and she showed me a better color and offered me to do a small design I was satisfied with my services I usually tip in cash but I totally forgot my wallet and only had my card so I asked if I was able to tip with my card I tipped $10 so I hope they do give those to her front desk was very friendly I will be coming back again
I was kind of desperate to find a nail salon that was open. Luckily I was able to find one near by my house. Originally I felt the outside service was pretty cool I was good. However, as I was getting my pedicure...the struggle was real because the buckets they are using aren't sturdy enough to hold a persons leg weight. Having to balance that and be semi comfortable was not jiving with me. However, pedi turned out okay, but still nothing compared to my usual spot. I got bit by a mosquito in like 7 places just in the 45 min I was getting that service done. It was fine and the weather became pleasant so that wasn't an issue anymore. I then switched technicians to get a full set, something I have not had done in almost 5..6 years at this point. For the most part I thought the guy glued on and shaped the nail I wanted well, which was short coffin nails. It quickly went downhill from there. When he applied the powder, to shaving to shape, to the nail paint. All a disaster. Here is why: the powder is not shaped what so ever. From the side it is just flat, when he was shaving near the cuticles he basically sliced into my skin on 4 fingers..... and it just burns!!!! And last but not least, the paint job. It looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. I am actually pretty disappointed because it was a trash job and it cost 128$ They have a menu which shows mani pedi cost I chose to do gel pedi as I always do and that cost was 45$ right? Nope, wrong, they charge 20$ for gel. So 65$ there and then for the full set an additional 20 for gel. LITERALLY NOT WORTH IT! The front desk lady was so nice, but what a terrible first experience. Quite frankly, I think I should have just not gotten my nails done. Would NOT recommend.
I used to come to this nail salon a lot and have had good experiences. After 3 months ish of neglecting to get my nails done, I decided to drop by a few weeks ago for maintenance. 3 months doesn't seem like a long time but I was disappointed in my experience this time around. I came in around 11am on a Tuesday and the front desk was empty. No receptionist. I did see 2 women. 1 was seated at the pedi chair on the far left at the very back. I thought she was a customer but it turns out she's a nail tech who happened to be on her cell phone. And the other lady, also a nail tech who was on her phone was sitting in a chair at the back of the salon, in front of the sink. I called out to both of them but none of them heard me as the music was loud and they were both preoccupied on their phones. I even waved my arms in the air to get their attention and they still didn't look up! Intuition told me to leave because it wasn't worth it. I could already foresee that I would get a crap mani/pedi. I was just disappointed at the lack of customer service and professionalism that day. Sad to say that I will no longer be coming here.
Emily is AWESOME! I've had a terrible nail biting habit since I probably first learned to talk. She took her time with me and made sure I was comfortable with the style, design, and service. I noticed and very much appreciate her attention to detail! She is in other words a perfectionist! She made me feel special and beautiful again! I have been coming to FUMA for a few months now and I keep coming back, the number one reason is their cleanliness, then their customer service. FUMA nails has always been my go-to nail salon. I've been to a couple of other salons in the area and their customer service, quality of the polish they use, and how they handle any issues has always been better than other places I've been to. You really get what you pay for at this nail shop! 10/10 would recommend to everyone. This has been the only place I've gotten my nails done where my gel polish didn't peel after a few days... haha read more
It's been 2 years since I've last been here and my feelings about this place have not changed. I came in on Wednesday, May 22, around 6:20PM. Before I arrived, I called and the receptionist had told me that there would be an hour wait because they were completely booked with appointments. I took my chances anyways and I'm honestly glad that I did! At first I was pretty bummed because the receptionist told me then that I wouldn't have a chance to get a full set done because they were so booked. She said that I'd only be able to get a regular mani-pedi. Thankfully, I only waited for about 10 minutes. Nancy and Lynn were the sweetest for taking me in. Nancy gave me a French pedicure and Lynn was nice enough to do a full set of Robin Blue acrylics for me. She also gave me a free design for my birthday, which was a gold line on both of my ring fingers. Please see the pictures! Aside from the amazing service that I received from Nancy and Lynn, they were just very personable women to talk to. I enjoyed having long conversations with them both and it made my visit there much more enjoyable. Not to mention they both stayed after closing time just to give me exceptional service, WITHOUT an appointment. I'm not gonna lie, the price was steeper than what I had in mind, but the service was worth every penny. The complimentary mimosa was also a great bonus! I decided to give this nail salon another chance and they did not disappoint! Everything went very smoothly and as soon as I checked in, it didn't take long until they started to do my nails. Hannah was the sweetest and did amazing on what I asked for. I loved the environment and the service was great. First time here! I follow them on Instagram and am always so impressed by the colors and I work. The salon itself is so cute! The front desk girl was so sweet and accommodating. She helped me color match the sparkly gel I picked out for my birthday nails to a toe polish. My pedi was done by Emby and she was awesome. I did the check in offer for the complimentary hot paraffin wax and she explained all the benefits it has which are amazing. Yvonne did my fill and she really took her time to perfect every step! The price isn't too high for the quality of work done and I will definitely be back!! Oh and PS they have mimosas so add a 6th star for that! read more

I got a pedicure here. They rush through it pretty quickly and then do a very poor job on the polish. They had me pick the polish from the wheel of gel nails and then tried to pick one close to it from the wall. I don't know why I couldn't just pick what I wanted from the wall. My toenails are uneven and the polish is a mess. I paid $55 for the premium pedicure and had to sit on the really hard uncomfortable bench instead of a massage chair which is what I'm used to at most nail salons. It's not worth the price. read more
I have been searching for a clean nail spa that sanitizes tools and doesn't reuse pumice stones on their customers. I finally found what I was looking for today! This nail spa takes cleanliness seriously as every salon should. Yes, prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for. They always provide a complementary drink, martini glasses filled with Lindor chocolates, and phone chargers everywhere! I came in with a dead phone and walked out fully juiced. :) You can't get that at many nail salons. Parking is scarce, so beware -- but the hassle is worth it. read more

Last time I came here there were air filters at each station to decrease the nail chemical smell, which I appreciated, but this time the smell was there and the machine at my station was not working so I dont know what's going on with that. I got a signature ombre gel manicure and signature regular polish pedicure which came to $82 (before tip)! I was shocked, the gel polish and manicure are charged seperately!? Plus the design. I know I can get the same (or even better) quality nails for a better price. Anyway, the service is friendly and fast, and I did like my nails, so a solid 3 stars for Fuma. read more
My first trip here was great - everyone was very nice, the girl that did my pedicure did a great job (can't remember her name), and my regular nail polish lasted over a month. That was a couple months ago. I decided to go back today because I had a great experience the first time. Today I had the exact opposite experience - terrible!!! The girl kept poking me with the cuticle cutter... When she scrubbed my feet, it hurt so bad that it left a mark/scar on my foot (which is still throbbing and hurting me as I write this review), the paint job was horrendous - streaks and divots in the paint and didn't clean around the nails properly. She really just didn't care at all - I got her name this time because I would never use her again. YVONNE. So, I don't want to totally write off this place because I've now had one good and one bad experience, maybe third time is a charm? If you do go, I highly recommend NOT using Yvonne. read more

Expensive but horrible lousy job. He didn't paint my whole nails. No Polish on both sides of my nails. I still have my old polish color on tips my nails. He didn't clean it well and it got bubbles too and lumpy.I paid $20 for gel and yet its not shiny at all. I don't mind paying if only they do good job.So disappointed. Will never come back read more

I made an appointment for this location in August once I arrived at this location they had a paper sign taped to the door saying to call a different number and go to their "sister" location. Mind you I'm not familiar with the location they had sent me to and the reason I made my appointment to this location was because it was 10 min away from my home, but since I had the appointment I went in. I asked for a full set and pedicure. Got a manicure, told the lady that I didn't ask for that and said oooh oooh uhm sorry. That's not even the worst part she told me that I had to pay for it, I still paid for it!!!! Didn't want to argue cause I didn't want them to mess up my nails. Paid over $170! read more

What I asked for and what I got.... First time trying this place out and really disappointed. They left bubbles and the guy was trying to do them so fast that the lines are all uneven. My toes where also a disappointment I requested they provide me with Flip flops even if I had to pay for them and they said "you are fine, you are all done" $100 + for this hmmmm not coming here again. read more

I never really done any acrylic and this is my first time ever so I didn't know what to expect. I do love how clean they are and interior is really nice. My nails came out pretty! The only small thing is just realized when inspecting the nail up close there's a couple of little particles trapped in the acrylic. Other than that pretty nail salon, good service and most importantly they follow covid guidelines! read more

I like simplicity and I don't really care much for fancy things, especially when it comes to my nails. I've only had one salon manicure in my entire life. I've also only recently started getting pedicures about three to four times a year; and even then I keep them natural, short, and simple (no nail designs, etc). However, as much as I like simplicity, I can be a bit of a germophobe. Foot spas/pedicure baths can be very unsanitary when improperly cleaned. The "fancier" foot baths (think ones that have pulsating water jets, etc.) may have suction screens where debris from nails and skin accumulate which can cause bacteria build up. Google it, abc news did an investigation on this. FUMA uses simple foot baths and sanitary tools. They use liners and an autoclave, and they throw away tools that can't be sanitized like pumices. They provide complimentary chocolate and candy as well as drinks like water. Annie did my pedicure and I really appreciated how meticulous and nice she was. I'm deducting a star because their prices are a bit high without the (Happy Hour) 15% off discount and parking is very limited. Overall, I would definitely come back again. read more

This place was a rip off.. I already have a nail place that i frequent but I wanted to try this place for nail art. I already know its pricier than where i normally go but wanted to really try what this place is known for.. I asked to do a gel nail so the art that i would choose would last longer. I told my nail artist i am interested in what they could offer and suggest for the bail art.. She asked if i had something in mind, i asked to see the sample so that I could visualized after my nails were done.. but either the nail artist got super lazy that she just said after, "just do nail art next time, your nail too short!". She did not even offer to add a sparkle on a finger or something. I chose this somewhat neutral color so that the nail art would standout somehow but well I will be stuck with plain nails for the next 2 weeks . Darn had i known that I they have lazy nail artist i would have just gone to my normal nail place "POLiSH". Way better sincere service. Pricing on the board is not reflective of what will be charged on paper.. so make sure ask and double check before you get RIPPED Off! read more

Front desk and employees were all very nice and helpful. However, they passed around nail colors without sanitizing them nor did they sanitize seats and surfaces after or between customers. My pedicure was fine, the nail on my big toe was a bit slanted. My full set wasn't all that great; one nail was completely crooked so after telling the tech what side needed to be filed to even it out, that nail looks different from the rest. Nail polish isn't starting or ending at all the edges, and my French tip is uneven thickness and improperly covering the surface. Definitely not worth $90, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I've only been here twice, but I think I will only be coming here for my nails from now on. Both times I got my nails done by NB and she is absolutely amazing. My nails usually start chipping by the end of the first week, but here my nails lasted well over 3 weeks. NB is so sweet I can tell she truly cares about her customers and the service they receive. NB always exceeds my expectations with her skills and customer service. I've recommended this place to all my friends because it's definitely worth giving a try, I can guarantee they won't be disappointed. Thank you FÜMA nail bar!! read more

This is a 1 day fresh gel manicure. I was disappointed after waiting so long to have a manicure, this ended up looking like my 11 yo stepdaughter did my nails. The manicure was done poorly. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was essentially ignored. This was $45 at an outside location in a chair in the hot weather. During Covid it's unfair for businesses to take advantage of the situation. I understand supply and demand, should customers pay the same price for subpar service? read more

He hooked my wider coffin nails up and was so sweet and a great conversationalist! + can't forget about the complimentary alcohol or non alcoholic beverages! Long review but hopefully it is helpful! First time getting nails done in California. I bite my nails and have been trying to stop, have about 3 werks of growth. Needed to get them done to prevent the urge and because I have a dance cover film coming soon. I needed something that wouldn't damage my weak newborn nails and would help them grow while also being strong. The recommended Gellux nails which are more expensive but that is the price I pay from my bad habit to get healthy nails. I chose different colors for each nail (if they are all the same color I tend to compare them and scrutinize myself layer till I'm unhappy since biting has made them uneven) and Hannah my nail specialist was very patient and paid good attention. I got my lilac palette idea based off a photo but didn't like the egg design so had that changed to flowers. Hannah recommended the metallic lilac shimmer polish and it is my favorite of the 5!! For the clear nail, at first I chose the wrong color because I wanted clear nail for the flower - one of the sample nail displays had an unpainted clear nail, and i mistool it as the clear nail polish. (it was called buttercup and was not clear, instead a warm nude) Turns out they just hadn't painted the sample nail yet and I let Hannah know the color was wrong and she fixed it easily! At first Hannah drew one beautiful flower but the natural nail underneath was ugly so I asked for more flowers and she did a fantastic job making sure it looked beautiful and I was happy. Downsides: I got nicked by a tool on my thumb because my cuticles are tender but other than that the shape and length and design was perfect! Hannah listened very well. The storw is aesthetic and very clean and beautiful. Music is a good level and there are comfy pillows everywhere. The staff is very responsive and although you might wait a bit without an appointment, it is easy to get an appointment and fasg service. No drinks or candy served during COVID times however. The price was $80 plus I tipped over 20% cash because they took the time to fix everything. Never been happier with nails! read more

I used to really love this place. Still do. Nail tech Jayden did my full set to perfection! But their prices have gone up so much. I used to be able to get their 55$ pedicure, eyebrows and full set for 120$( pricy but worth it at that time). Yesterday I paid 90$ for just my hands. 63$ for acrylic nails "long". 10$ for cuticle care and 17$ for gel?! And the pedicure with a little massage callus remover and some leg scrub was 38$. They do great work but 90$ for nails is outrageous. Didn't even get a design or anything. Update. So in less than 7 Days I have broken a nail.? Rarely breaks nails. Call in asked if Jayden was coming in she said yes come in now. Came to be told it's a45 Mom wait and Jayden wasn't coming. So I make an appointment for the next day 9 am. Show up 903 they take 10 mins to seat me. Stuck my thumb in acetone and went to start SOMEONE ELSE MANI. So after 10 mins of sitting I walk to the front to pitch a fit. Like oh we have to soak it no take this off. Nail came no problem. So she puts the nail on. Walks away for another 10 mins. Finally comes back and I'm finished. Just over the place. Then at home grabbing a pot my other thumb breaks! So smooth I barley felt it! Lividly I can them and speak to jazele the manager and made an appointment again for The other freaking thumb. Charge barley cleared my account and I have TWO broken nails. Back again, make that 3 broken nails. I am completely over this place. I called and spoke to the manager Jazelle had my appointment set up for Monday 945. Get there and I'm was assisted right away. She got to fixing the 2 that recently broke. She used my other hand for reference. Right? Right! I leave and I stared typing and I notice that my thumb nail is causing me more issues than the right one. I hold them up and look index finger a whole centimeter and a half longer. My thumb about half a Centimeter bigger than the other. I've been there a total of 5 times for this one set. To top it off as she was fixing my nail she glued the tip on started filing and it popped right back off. The freaking glue was barely holding. That's why they kept snapping their glue was all old. She opened a new one and it stuck no problem but now it's TOO LONG. Ugh! Never again read more

I walked into Füma one day and ever since I keep returning to Füma for my nails treatment and design! TRACY is the BEST at taking care of my nails and toes and she has great eyes at picking out color that suits me best! My nails always receive compliments wherever I go. Füma Lakewood is nice and comfortable, big TV playing music kept me entertained, the store is clean and the staff promote social distancing and safety. I'm glad I found Füma and Tracy! Yes, we do offer Gel-X. We do offer extensions with nail forms as well.
For acrylic nails do they build the acrylic on your actual nail or do they build it on a plastic nail that they glue on top of your nail?…
Hi Angelina, we can do both the traditional and sculpted acrylics method. Just be sure to specify which method you'd prefer so we can set you up with the right technician!

Hello, sorry we do not do dipping powder. We only have regular acrylic powder or gel polish.
