Don't recall where I heard about this place, but I did. We enjoy Chicken Tenders so we definitely needed to check it out. There menu is pretty simple. Chicken Tenders, period. They do have slaw, chips and mac and cheese, but if you want tenders this is the place. These were great. Chicken was nice and juicy and tender. Loved the outside breading, has a great crunch, but not to thick. We got an order of 6 tenders to share. They seemed a little small, however we got 8 tenders. So, I will assume that is by intent based on the size of the tenders. Pricing was very reasonable Staff there was very friendly and helpful. They have 4 different sauces. I tried the awesome sauce and the buffalo sauce. They were both very good. Coleslaw was very good. Chips are basically home made potato chips - they were very good. We did tried the bacon mac and cheese. It was just okay. However, we did not go there for the mac and cheese. We went for the tenders and that is the basis of the 5 star rating. It was a little drive for us to get there, but definitely worth is. We moved this place us to #2 on our list of favorite places to get chicken tenders. Actually, it is almost equal to our #1 place. My absolute favorite place to go for chicken tenders. They don't do chicken wings, just tenders. I've never been disappointed with any meal I've ordered from them. They offer dine in or carry-out and the interior always looks very clean and well organized. Simple menu but that lets them focus on what they do best, which is unbelievably delicious tenders. The buffalo sauce is my favorite followed by the blue grass bbq. You might want to order extra sauce cups and try all 4 flavors or just have extra for dipping. The slaw is just okay and it's really all about the tenders. You won't be disappointed at how tender and juicy they are and it's always consistent quality. Hands down the best chicken tenders on the West Side of Cincinnati. These are really GREAT chicken tenders. The outside is the perfect level of crunch and the inside is never dried out. Every time we have brought these to a team gathering or ordered them for our teenage kids, they LOVE them and we get "cheers" from the crowd when we show them what we have. I'm not joking. Their Awesome Sauce is their own homemade sauce and it's tangy and spicy too. I love this chicken, it's always tender, not dried out, and has great flavor. Prefer this over anything down the street, or the fast food chicken on Glenway. We usually get the quarter mess to feed our family of 4, but one is like feeding 2 people so it will easily feed 5 adults. Sauces are good for dipping, I prefer the honey mustard. The only thing keeping them from a 5 star is the sides. Don't like any of them and have tried them all. My oldest won't eat the Mac and cheese even with bacon on it. Every visit to this local "tender shop" has been great! The guys running the shop are very friendly and prompt, which is a huge help considering I have been here on my lunch break. They use the "keep it simple" philosophy and it has paid off. I feel that by focusing on only a few menu items it has allowed them to perfect their offerings. The tenders are juicy, not greasy, and have a crunchy, delicious breading on them. The tenders are paired with kettle chips, cole slaw, and a fountain drink. I write this review having had two conflicting experiences at F&N Goode chicken tenders. My first experience was...lackluster. I arrived and placed my order for takeout - a three piece meal. It was ready almost immediately. When I got home and started eating, the tenders were disappointingly small. To their credit, they did give me an extra tender (4 total for a 3 piece meal) perhaps to account for this. The cole slaw was very, very, very sweet. The only thing I was really impressed with was the sauce - man was that honey mustard good! I decided to give the place a second chance (after all, the tenders weren't bad, they were just small the first time...making it disappointing for the price.) The second time, I placed my order through the app and went to pick up my food. This time, I did have to wait for my order because there was someone who ordered a catered tray in front of me. My food came out and I was so impressed - they redeemed themselves! This time I got a five piece (expecting small tenders) but they were more ham enough! The slaw was just the right balance with not too much sweetness. I added the "awesome" sauce along with some honey mustard and the meal was complete. And let's not forget the bacon Mac and cheese because it was great, too! I now recommend F&N to almost anyone looking for good chicken tenders. This is the place to go if that is you. Big fan of this chicken joint. For one, that 'awesome sauce' of theirs is basically the flavor equivalent of pulling the handle on a slot machine and hitting the jackpot. It really pairs well with their crispy tenders. I imagine through some intergallactic wormhole somewhere there's a dimension where they use awesome sauce as currency. Now, they don't have fries, they have chips, but that's okay with me. Do I really need more fries in my life? Not really. The slaw is...slaw. Nothing special, but nothing to scoff at either. Environment: inside it's fabulous, outside they could use another street sign for visibility Staff: friendly knowledgable and accommodating. Great people! Menu: Love the availability of 100 fingers. Seriously good idea for get togethers. Food: Chicken! Tender and juicy with a great crunchy breading. Perfectly cooked. While good on their own I expected something unique about them. Some flavor or spice to make them more memorable. They are good! I just couldn't give you a distinct flavor descriptor. Chips! Again perfectly cooked and crispy. I prefer a flavored chip but these are good, plain and fresh. Coleslaw! Pretty normal Sauce! We got the Awesome Sauce. It was a delicious house sauce. The fingers carried them pretty well. The best tenders you'll find on this side of Cincy, granted we don't have a lot around here. You usually get 1-2 more tenders than what you order which is nice. The chips are great, slaw is okay. It has a very different taste than what you'd get at most chicken restaurants. Mac n cheese is pretty good but not stellar. The one downfall is that it's priced higher than some of those other chicken places where you get fries, toast, slaw, and a drink, where here you get chips and slaw. But the tenders are extremely good, the sauces are extremely good, and I'm all about supporting small businesses over the big chains any day. read more

A little tucked away treasure on the West Side that is one of the few that will attract me to drive that far ( especially for something that could be mundane as chicken), however the food is made fresh. Sauce flavors differ from person to person so I won't sway you with my particular fav. The Chicken is not frozen, nor is it breaded then dried out for hours on end like others under a heat lamp. Bacon Mac n Cheese is out of this world. After Eli's and Keystone it might be my favorite in the city. The name of this restaurant is misleading because it's mediocre at best. The chicken strip sizes varies dramatically causing some to be cooked right and others to be dry and chewy. I found gristle throughout the strips as well which in my opinion is unappetizing and shows the low quality chicken being used. The tater-tots which are practically identical to ones you cook at home are frozen and heated on trays in the oven and were surprisingly the best part of my meal. Although this is one of those restaurants I would label "you get what you pay for" you can get better quality chicken at nearby restaurants for similar prices. read more

I grew up around Zaxbys in Western Kentucky and I haven't been able to find a chicken place that compares to them, until now. F&N Goode Chicken is the best chicken I have had since moving to the area few years ago. I live on the East side of Cincinnati and I have no reason to visit the West side but since discovering this gem I have made several trips just for the chicken. The chicken is lightly breaded on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauces are great as well but I usually stick with bbq, sometimes I mix them up and see what flavors I can make. F&N Goode Chick'n Tenders are F&N Great (not just good, but great)! But, as I talked with Jon and Tim, it wouldn't have made as fun of a business name. Clark Holmes and I both had the Quatro Basket for $7.35 and it featured 4 big, plump and juicy, perfectly battered/coated chick'n tenders, homemade cole slaw, sauce, kettle-like chips and a refillable drink. Our total was about $16.32 and our chick'n was in our hands within minutes. The chick'n was cooked perfectly and portions were plentiful. The cole slaw was delicious. This IS the cole slaw you want to accompany your fish dinners, this lenten season. The Awesome sauce (homemade) was just that, awesome - the name even says so! The Honey Mustard sauce (homemade) was an unexpected twist on what is usually a boringly sweet version. The Bluegrass BBQ sauce was a sweet dip for chips or chick'n. We dined in and marveled at how well the entire "concept" of the restaurant comes together. From logo to the artwork on the walls, the music streaming from the speakers to the tables and chairs...the owner and managers have done their homework and we've graded their effort/our experience an "A+"! Living in Western Kentucky for 8 years I got very spoiled with Zaxby's and was disappointing when I moved to Ohio and realized Zaxby's was nowhere close. After trying out this hidden gem on the West Side I've finally found a place that can be my chicken paradise. The concept is very simple: they serve chicken and chicken only and why would you serve anything else if your chicken is simply delicious. It's lightly breaded but enough to give you that crispy coat with a very moist center. Generously seasoned with some type of cajun house seasoning. I had a bucket full of these heavenly tenders and I think I could've eaten more. The only downfall of this place is that they serve a bag of chips as their side item and I would've loved some crunchy crinkle fries covered with their secret seasoning. But, the guys running/owning this place are great and super friendly and they have informed us that the idea was to start very small and very simple so maybe sometimes in the future I will be able to order fries. They do carry out which would be great for a game night or the night when you just want to eat two buckets of chicken tenders on your couch and not have to move afterwards. read more

There were several cars parked in front, so I assumed there were diners and the food would be fresh. When you only have ONE thing on the menu, and it is NOT slow roasted or smoked, you should make it fresh! No one else in the restaurant. I was told they were all at karate. Still fresh? Oh no. No, when I ordered at the counter, before I paid, my chicken strips and chips were in the window. The girl at the counter ignored the basket, and went in the back. Chatted up the cook, returned when someone else walked in and the door bell rang. Took their order. Served my food. Not even tepid. I was planning on eating in, but I have to take it home to reheat it like leftovers. This was the second chance visit. Not coming back. Not recommending it to anyone. read more

The chicken tenders were really good, but they should have more menu offerings. I understand that they want to do one thing well but would offering fries be too far fetched?? My meal consisted of 4 small strips a small side of slaw, potato chips and a drink for $7. Not a great value, but again the tenders were good. We'll likely go back but we're not in a rush. read more

A locally owned family operation with simply delicious food! The tenders are super moist with the perfect amount of breading. The coleslaw is homemade and delicious! Four sauce options gives a little something for everyone (I liked BBQ to dip my chips and honey mustard for the chicken).
