Finally when the day came to pay the deposit after the guy finally was back from his trip, he told me the price was going to now be $1800 and the bumper he promised was damaged, the hatch wouldn't come with the handle, and the taillight wasn't included. This was frustrating as I was counting on this the same day I was purchasing the car. So, just before getting stuck with that guy which was the only Subaru Partout I found, I went back to check Craigslist. Came across a few ads which led me to Alon here at SCAD. The ad was email only so I assumed I wouldn't get any reply and if I did it would be minimal info saying "not available for the parts you want, or come see in person only". Well Alon was great and replied quick. I got a number to call in to talk more and met Zack the owner that's been there for several years and is a Subaru expert. We talked back and forth and he even sent photos of parts before I drove out over an hour with a uhaul trailer. He was super fair from the get go on prices. I ended up getting all I needed and he threw in extras and things like all the clips and hardware send pics of anything I needed. Got emailed an invoice super quick and was able to sign and send back and pay the deposit before driving over. Was super transparent on any blemishes he found on parts we discussed and was more that willing to pull off parts I needed or search his yard for him. That whole team of guys there were great to me and hard working. His repair prices are also super fair so I'll probably be back for some maintenance work later. I got all I needed and more, prompt replies and even has been giving me advice as I go on different issues I'm running into. I'd consider Zack a friend at this point cus that's what it feels like.
