    Spinach Pie
    Chelsea K.

I just moved to the area and this place has been on my radar from the Yelp reviews. This is a small to-go little bakery that would be easy to pass by. Finally stopped in today for Spinach Pie. I believe it was the owner who was there and he was very nice. The Spinach Pie is absolutely delicious, huge piece and great price. I may try some other pies from here, but for now..Spinach pie is where it's at and I highly, highly recommend stopping in! It's a great spot when you need something quick, easy and affordable. I'll definitely be back.

The spinach pie is the best one I've ever had! You must try this place! Sorry I didn't take a picture of it, I was too busy eating it

    Portokalopita

Outstanding! I was hosting a Greek-themed dinner and called and asked that a full tray of portokalopita be made as well as some bougasta. Both were so fresh and delicious! And the portokalopita was made the proper way with phyllo not flour. It was moist and well-saturated and fragrant with orange. My husband also picked up some spinach pie which was delicious. And everything was so reasonable! We'll definitely be using F&S again. !

I pass by this place everyday to drop my son off from school. It's a small bakery and people are there working before 7am, making the dough. I finally came inside and was greeted by sweet people. I ordered the spinach pie slice and it was fantastic. I also got the kourambiethes and that too was awesome. Their menu is short but that just makes them great at specializing on their select items. Price was good. Parking is on a busy street. Worth going to.

bougatsa.. if you don't know now you know

Run, don't walk to this place and make sure you get a bougatsa before they run out. Cinnamon & sugar on top? YES and YES. My family is addicted to this greek pastry and chances are you will be too. Each time I bring someone a bougatsa from F&S pies their immediate reaction is "where did you get this and how can I get more?!" I am also a huge fan of their spanakopita, tiropitas and the melomakarona cookies. It can be difficult to find spanakopita that my Greek thia approves of but this one got rave reviews. To top it all off the owner is incredibly kind and accommodating; exhibiting a Greek hospitality that is unmatched. Convinced yet? Stop by Monday- Saturday and decide for yourself.

You can sit in the outdoor backyard area, which is open during the warmer months. The food is absolutely amazing. We always get the dip sampler with hummus, eggplant, tzatziki and the grape leaves. Most of the entrees come with additional pita, tzatziki, a soup or salad, and a side dish. The vegetarian moussaka is my absolute favorite dish. It's hard to find a vegetarian version and this one is particularly amazing. The rice is delicious and the lentil soup is great too. The baklava is the best way to end the meal. It's syrupy and a great dessert to share.

Definitely recommend trying the eggplant and tzaziki. We also got the pork and chicken doners. Usually the pork is better but the chicken was outstanding that night so will be trying it as my main for next time. Got a little busy as the night went on and the tables are a bit close together but it's expected on a Friday night. Overall great experience as usual and will be back again. Pro-tip: they have a free rewards system so you can bank points every time you eat there. Then you can cash in for a discount after a certain amount.

There is something truly special about their seasoning that makes every single dish amazing. What really sets Maria's apart, besides the incredible food, is the outstanding hospitality. Maria and her staff treat everyone like family from the moment you walk through the door. It's that rare, warm atmosphere combined with consistently delicious food that makes this a place I always look forward to returning to. Food (5/5): Consistent and amazing. There's a lovely rustic, yet high end vibe. It's also immaculate. Our server was fantastic...just the right balance of friendly, attentive and helpful. It was hard to choose appetizers because I actually wanted one of each. There aren't a lot of Mediterranean choices near where I live currently so my eyes were definitely WAY bigger than my stomach. That said, we shared the halloumi and three different dips served with warm pita. Then we added a last minute choice of grilled sweet sausage for my stepdad. Before we even received our appetizers, they brought a lovely pile of warm pita with delicious sides to accompany: olives, white bean spread, and red pepper hummus (I believe... whatever it was, it was delicious!). The appetizers were outstanding and it was really hard to pick a favorite. Each one of the dips was delightful: taramasalata, hummus, and eggplant. I tasted a bite of the sausage and I understood why my stepdad enjoyed it so much (perfectly cooked and just the right amount of seasoning). The appetizers were new to my mom and she truly enjoyed everything. Her main course was crabcakes and she raved about those as well. I chose the Souvlaki with a side of grilled vegetables and it was exactly what I wanted with perfectly spiced and not overcooked cubes of chicken. The other grilled chicken dish got a huge thumbs up...and that's from a super picky eater. We topped everything off by sharing a large piece of cake that was very decadent....and even though I love chocolate,.... no way I could've finished it by myself. It had an Oreo crust and the rest was a rich chocolate mousse. Next time? Baklava. Looking forward to going back to visit the fam and enjoying Maria's again. Maybe they can open up a location near Saratoga? Just saying...

The typical fast food Greek fare gets raised a few notches here at Gyro World…read more Now, I'm picky with my gyro and my souvlaki because of my heritage and so I can honestly say they hit it out of the park at Gyro World. We started with the traditional Greek salad and combination platter because it wouldn't be summer without these staples. The tomatoes were garden fresh and cold and but the feta stole the show. It was so good I'm sure it came from their pet goat in the yard! The gyro and souvlaki combo platters were perfectly cooked and surprisingly not greasy. The pita was cooked to perfection and sturdy enough to hold up under the weight of our meat livers paradise. By far my favorite gyro place!

The service was still good, and the ambiance is bright and welcoming, which I appreciated. The gyro itself was just okay this time, nothing too memorable. The fries were good definitely needed some salt, but that's just my personal preference. The chicken skewer was solid and probably the highlight of the meal. My biggest issue was the Greek salad. It was mostly cucumbers, and the feta cheese had a really strange flavor. I'm not sure what brand they use, but I've never tasted feta like that before, and not in a good way. It completely threw me off. That experience alone was enough to turn me away. I think I'll stick with the pricier Greek spots that I know are more consistent.
