Pop-Up Shops do it for me. Maybe it's the temporary aspect, or maybe it's the idea of making retail more of a fun and interesting experience than just the same old shopping.
I stepped into F Factory and wasn't 100% sure what I'd wondered into, I would have loved a greeter or a concierge of sorts. The first floor Fendi space is well-curated with great bags and an assortment of antiques from a cash register to a typewriter and lots of other golden oldies. Maison Margiela is also on the first floor.
Heading up the stairs Neon Monster stood out as the quirky and ironic winner with niche as well as mass appeal and a sense of humor. Stocking stuffers, t-shirts, and coffee table books: Check! Note to Neon Monster: Open a Miami outpost.
Katherine Fleming, Stubbs + Wooton, etc were all interesting and well merchandised but not my cup of tea.
The fourth floor rarely seen during events is hosting the Craig Robins art collection and as expected it's interesting without being over the top.
Nearby Italian eatery Fratelli Lyon has set up a cafe inside so if you're in the area and want a quiet lunch stop by and grab some grub.
I'm glad F Factory is here and hope they do it again. Still, I wish there was more of an experience. F Factory lacks any sort of engaging aspect. I'd love to see F Factory have more hands-on options, events, activities, etc. read more
