Keep in mind most people squat without shoes on and I've been doing so for a year at this location. Anyone who is serious about their leg day takes their shoes off because it's literally better and safer in every way. This planet fitness would rather you snap your ankle than take your shoes off. Maybe if they paid their employees a decent wage, we wouldn't be stuck with people who can be visually assessed as non-gym-goers and who don't know anything about hitting legs, and they would be able to hire someone who actually knows something about working out.

I have the flexibility to come at slow times normally and like to sit in the hydro bed for 10 minutes, then the massage chair for twenty minutes after a good workout. Twice during the last week, I was limited in the message chair to 10 minutes. Crowd meter was at one, and no one in the chairs but one person, and that was an employee during his work shift or break, and I'm glad they can use the facilities also, but really?? Happened again a couple of days later while it was even slower. Seems there is a bit discrimination, because I've watched the youngsters hanging on to equipment, yapping/socializing and staring at their phone, but management doesn't say a word. Time with this club may be coming to an end for me. I do not care to discuss with the club manager, because she is part of the issue. Bring back Jaymin please.......

RVAC isn't huge, but there are usually enough machines and classes to accommodate everyone,…read morealthough management is sometimes slow to fix broken equipment, showers, etc. The women's locker room was an add-on and as such is a little awkward and sprawly, but there are enough lockers and after a while, you figure out which spots have adequate room and which don't. The owner did a big renovation several years ago. Since much of the labor was performed by employees, construction was a drawn-out affair. Maintenance has declined. Locker rooms aren't as clean as they used to be and the pool is perpetually cloudy. I always shower well afterwards and use the club towel to stand on because the carpeted floor grosses me out. My first review for this place was 4 or 5 stars but I've had to downgrade because of the cleanliness and maintenance issues. The club has a 25 yard indoor pool and a smaller outdoor pool that's open during warm weather. I'm a lap swimmer, and there are usually lap lanes available very early morning, midday, and at night. However, in the summer the club offers swimming lessons for children and there are large blocks of time that adult lap swimmers can't get in. Front desk staff will helpfully suggest using the outdoor pool, but it's so short that by the time you push off one end, you're practically hitting your head on the other end. Most group fitness classes are free. Quality of instruction varies, try out a few to see if you like the instructor or not. Offerings include yoga, step, sculpt & strength, Zumba, kettlebells, kickboxing, spinning, and others. There's a decent child care area, a real boon to parents of youngsters who need to get out and sweat! Prices are about average, and you can often avoid an initiation fee by signing up for a one-year commitment.

They are very encouraging and motivating to help you on your journey. I wasn't sure about the strength training with bands as I'm more of an "iron lifting" kind of person. I really like the results I've seen from using bands along with the varying strength routines they have. I've seen results! And last, and probably the most impactful is the sense of community. Everyone truly cares about your success and very encouraging every day. My wife and I have found friends here and actually love going everyday! I know, crazy right! I had done Pilates in the past a handful of times but it was a long long time ago. Daniela was friendly and great with instructions and directions. I quickly remembered a lot of the moves. It was a great workout and also great at stress relieving. I think it's a great workout for those looking for less impact on their joints. I was even able to get a free B12 shot with their partners from uplift aesthetics later that day. Yay! It was also great learning from the rep what services they provide. Other notes, you will need grippy socks for the workout. They have them available for purchase at the front desk. If they do play music in the workout, it's very low which I really like so you can concentrate on the moves.

I am done trying & understand why that gym is the cheapest. I have been a Snap fitness member years ago and have great experience at a different snap Fitness but this one was not worth all the time wasted just trying to sign up.
