I travel a lot and I got the chance to try different boxes. This one is by far on my top 3 list! From the second you walk into the gym you feel like you at home. I met owner/coach Melissa , she was awesome! Very nice and one of the best/professional coaches I met! She take her time and explain every movement and how to do it right ... during the workout she make sure you still follow the Instructions. The community is great everyone is friendly and nice. I was in Ohio for a month and had the pleasure of working out here. From day 1, the vibes in this gym were amazing. Great people. The owners are extremely down to earth and involved. The people are friendly and introduce themselves when you are new. Competitive but not intimidating atmosphere. The programming is a great mix of all the movements that support the foundation of CrossFit. They provide and encourage scaling options. The gym itself is a great space, has a lot of training tools. I wish I could pick this gym up (including the community) and bring it back to Chicago with me. read more

Mike Garza is a motivating trainer who lives what he trains. If you get a chance to go to the gym and take the foundations class I recommend getting to know him. I was able to drop in at GCCF around Christmas when I was in town to visit family. Everyone was beyond welcoming, the coaches were great, and the WOD was challenging (even with scaled options). It was easy to register ahead of time and it is by far the cleanest CrossFit box I have been to. Thanks for letting me stop by and the warm welcome. This is my second time dropping in for several days while visiting Toledo. This is a great community! Friendly, knowledgable coaches, a great facility, combined with fun and challenging workouts! I was very impressed with the coaching here, having visited gyms all over. They provided good warm ups, a review of the movements in each class, and multiple scales for all levels so everyone can achieve the right stimulus for the workout. As a garage trainer/athelete, I was looking for a way to stay motivated and possibly pick up some tips and tricks. So, when I found a groupon offering a foundations course @ GCCF, I jumped on it and thank God I did! Theron, Trevor, Melissa, and the rest of the training staff are knowledgable, hands on, and extremely customer oriented. It's a great gym with great trainers producing great atheletes.
