Dr…read more Vogel has grown increasingly unaccomodating and Stamford Health just announced that she is resigning from the practice with very little explanation as to why, which felt suspicious to us. Most of all, the admin staff is poor. The office has a small army of admins who run cover for the doctors. They do not communicate with each other, are disorganized and come off as annoyed when talking to you. Even the most patient families will feel frustration in dealing with the office and should be prepared to follow up vigilantly as they will NOT call you back. The office's apathy and lack of urgency is so severe it borders on dangerous for the kids. One of our kids has an allergy and it was a process to get him the prescription he needed in case he had a reaction. We felt we had no choice but to leave. Good riddance and beware of this pediatric practice.

I love how personable each of the doctors are. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Love everyone that works here!!! The doctors are amazing, the nurses are the absolute sweetest and the ladies at the front desk are beyond caring. The healthy child is a family & they welcome everyone with open arms and are ready to care for your children as if they were their own.

When my child was…read moregoing into school, they apparently forgot to mark down that he got an immunization because the school questioned if he had all of them. The doctor tried to look into it but could not find it. She said that she probably just forgot to mark it down. Another time, another doctor swore that my child probably had strep even though the test came back negative. Before we left, I asked about a rash he had and suddenly, they realized it was coxsackie. Another time, I asked about an issue I was concerned with for one child and the doctor wasn't concerned. 10 months later, we find out the other child has a major issue that we would have tested for 10 months earlier if the dr had taken my concern seriously and knew that it potentially had genetic implications for siblings. After we found out about the major issue, the doctors did not contact us to see how he was doing. I have reached out to them regarding this issue via the portal and they ghosted me. How do pediatricians ghost a parent? I had questions and suggestions so that other parents are not taken by surprise with the issue my son has and they ghosted me. We have seen every doctor in this practice throughout our long tenure with them and although they seem nice, they are not competent except if it's just your average check up.

They generally avoid over prescribing medication, which could be frustrating for some parents, but probably is best practice for the child over the long run. When my son had an emergency illness and was subsequently hospitalized for three days, they kept in constant with me and the hospital to stay fully informed of his situation. I want to give special praise to one doctor in particular, Dr. David Costabile. He is extremely patient, listens to your concerns and thoroughly addresses all your questions no matter how minute. He explains everything in layman's terms and never throws medical jargon in your face. He has been the best health care profession that I've ever dealt with.

We've had plenty of first time parent concerns and he's tackled them all super timely and with a way of explaining things that calms us and gives us more confidence every time. And we were amazed with Katie, the Lactation Consultant. she has decades of experience, she CHANGED our world!! we brought in our 5 day old baby and she completely turned me around with her knowledge base. I brought him in with me and nursed him with her help so that she could observe. She reframed so much of what the hospital told me generically and tailored it to me and our son based on how and what she saw. and she was spot on! he was happier, less frustrated and trusted me to read his cues correctly and get what he needed. it was an instant fix, I can't get enough of her!! She makes herself available by phone too if tou can't make it to her in person. She and Dr. Stephen are in this with you every step, honestly we couldn't have asked for more caring human beings to help guide us.

My kids LOVE going to the dr. They literally ask to go. Even if there are shots involved they like being there. When the heck does that ever happen? Dr. Nikki is more than a doctor. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I called Riverside Pediatrics and they were able to get us an appointment that afternoon. The staff was efficient and courteous. The office utilizes easy to use online tools for scheduling and paperwork. And, they accepted our insurance, which was a big relief because we only started it a few days earlier. Once in the office I hardly had time to sit down before the doctor was attending to us. (Amazing!) As for treatment: Dr. Bansilal's bedside manner was absolutely superb! She was gentle, firm, and professional. In less than a minute my 2-year-old daughter, who has appropriate stranger danger, was totally comfortable with her and was following her instructions. Dr. Bansilal listened attentively and asked lots of questions before forming a diagnosis. She clearly explained to me what she thought was wrong, how she arrived at that conclusion, what we were going to do about it, what to expect, and what to be vigilant against. Our experience was so good that when we were leaving my daughter said, unprompted, "I like the doctor!" I totally agree! Love this practice!!!

I figured if she could trust Helping Kids Pediatrics with her kids, then I do not need to look any further. Now, 8 years later AND a county away, Drs. Jacobs continues to care for all four of our children. I can honestly say that they treat our kids like their own. Both doctors are like walking encyclopedias; with knowledge not only in their pediatric specialty, but also in various other specialties. Their expertise help new and veteran parents make informed decisions about their children's care. Dr. Elizabeth is also a Lactation Consultant, so for brand new mother's, this is such a blessing in one easy location! They are very responsive to any questions that I may have AND with any documentation needed (especially for school-aged kids). They are thorough during the examinations/visits and genuinely listen and care about parental concerns. The patient portal is also helpful and easy to use. In a nutshell, if you are a new parent, new to the area, or in the market for a fresh set of eyes, I would highly recommend Drs. Stanley and Elizabeth Jacobs at Helping Kids Pediatrics. You will not be disappointed.

We scheduled a visit prior to our son being born. The 2 of them spent over and hour with us answering dozens of questions and never once pushed for our commitment. There was no doubt we were choosing them as our sons physicians. It has been 9 months and at least a dozen visits now and I am happy to report that our expectations have not only been met but exceeded. I would not hesitate to recommend this team to anyone I know.
