The man was as generous with his time on the phone as advertised, so... we set a date and time (Tuesday a.m.) to meet so he could see our community pool and give me a quote for service. We were extremely happy with Fabio's service. This would have been a 5 star rating but we were dropped as clients with no advance warning. The only reason given was that he was reducing his work load and that he could not continue the service. We were very disappointed and wish we were given prior notice to find someone new. He gave us a name to another pool cleaning company but only after we asked for a recommendation, and their reviews were not that great. I would love to recommend him to others but not knowing if he would even pick up new clients is a major downside. I'm just hoping the reason for dropping us really was due to his work load and not for something else that could have been resolved if brought up. We contacted Fabio's pool service because we moved into a home with a pool and had no clue how to maintain it. Fabio came out for an estimate and was going to return the next d ay for the 1st week service. When he returned he shared that we really did not need him due to the size of our pool, (small pool), he showed us how to change the filters and how to work the equipment for the pool. Fabio shared that he would be happy to service our pool if we really felt like we needed him but he did not want to take advantage of us and would rather share his knowledge. Fabio is amazing!! I purchased a home about a year ago with a pool and spa with waterfalls. I never understood how all of the many water control valves worked. With just a phone call he came out to my home, which was out of his servicing area and with extreme patience told me not only how everything worked, helped me mark all of my plumbing and valves, gave me pool care tips, taught me proper chemical balance and even things to look for to prevent future problems. He is extremely professional, knowledgable and polite. My pool needed help and after 3 different quotes and about $500 later from other pool services my pool was still a disgrace. After reading some of the reviews on yelp I called Fabio and he came to my home ASAP and addressed the problem. However Fabio said that he would come out to the house at no cost to help me get a handle on my pool and servicing. I wish there was a 10-star rating on Yelp! 5 stars just doesn't do the trick with Fabio's Pool Service! We'd been handling our own pool service for about 8 years when we got this horrible algae. My husband would get all the chemicals balanced and the pool would sparkle for a week or so, then the algae would come back. Fast forward two years....I finally convinced my husband that we needed an expert. I searched a lot of companies and came across Fabio's company and read every Yelp review. Convinced I'd found the guy, my husband called him this afternoon. A few short hours later, he was at our house. We both expected it would take weeks of service to take care of the problem, but in a few minutes, Fabio gave us a list of what to buy, where to buy it, a bottle of a chemical to put in AND found that we had too small of a filter system for the size of our pool. Thinking back, we bought the system about two years ago...right about when the algae showed up. We asked Fabio for a quote on the filter system and he gave us the brand and size to buy and said "buy it on Amazon...if you buy it from me, I've got to charge you more". Then, he was getting ready to leave and we asked what we owed him....he looked at my husband square in the eye and said "I don't want your money....I can't charge for advice". My husband tried to tell him that his time is worth money (my husband is also a contractor), but he wouldn't charge us. I was having trouble with my pool filter (I am new to caring for an in-ground pool and learning as I go). After working on the problem for 2 days, I could not find the solution. I finally gave up and called Fabio's Pool Service (just found the number online) and explained the problem. He told me he would come by. I assumed it would be at least a few hours, but he was here soon after I talked to him. He looked at my system and identified the leak pretty quick. He told me a couple of ways I could fix it. Fabio is great. I am a new pool owner from a home we just purchased. I had no idea what was involved with pool maintenance let alone how to operate a pool pump. I called Fabio after reading his reviews. He called me back the same day. He scheduled to come out the next day. He actually notified me 30 mins prior when he'd be there and kept to it.
