Think of this not as a winery as you would in the California style. It's a liqueur tasting that enhances the finer agriculture of Vermont. Ginger liqueur is wonderful- sweet with strong flavors and I already knew it would make wonderful mixed drinks. The chocolate liqueur was delicious as was the apple maple wine. All sweet so go with the perspective of how to enrich a wine based cocktail or a champagne cocktail. If you're a dessert wine lover it's definitely for you. We ended up buying ginger and apple maple. Go try out the tasting and decide for yourself!

Kim walked us through each sip and went further in recommending a stellar restaurant in nearby Brattleboro. Kim was so friendly and kind to all five of us, even though she was in the midst of a tasting with another group. This didn't effect the attention she showed us in the slightest. We will be ordering their cranberry wine two months from due to how lovely the experience and the taste was. If you're in the area and would like a variety of dry to sweet fruit wines and liqueurs, please stop by and tell Kim hello for us!

After looking at the very attractive displays showcasing each product made at the Distillery, my daughter and I opted to share a tasting. We chose the Moroccan Rose and Grapefruit Flavored Vodka to start and I loved the distinct fruity taste without the sugary sweetness. Next was the Maple Gin, which was lovely as well. Our server told us she likes to mix it with muddled blueberries and ginger beer for a refreshing summertime mule, and I agree that does sound delicious. Our third taste was the Bourbon Maple Cream Liquor, which was so delicious, and we finished the tasting with the Maple Cram Liquor, which was smooth, sweet, and went down very easily. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the store - everything was sparkly clean and shining. The layout of the displays was so attractive. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip to VT.

The tasting room is small with a single counter for tasting and a wall of bottles for purchase but it's well worth the wait if needed. You can even sample the syrups while you wait for free! Our hostess was very informative about all of the spirits and very appreciative of each of her customers. She talked a bit fast but that's understandable in the environment, it's busy!! We each did a tasting, the special tasting and the regular, so we got to try almost everything! Our cabinet and fridge got a few new additions with the canned vodka sodas and a single barrel. I highly recommend a stop and a tasting of the Hopped Gin, whether you're a gin drinker or not!! We visited in August 2024.

The winery consistently adds to the enjoyment of my timeshare weeks. My absolute favorite is the wine slushies--I look forward to them every year and couldn't wait for them to return in the spring and summer months. I also highly recommend the wine and cider flights, which are a great way to sample a variety of offerings. The staff and service are outstanding. Megan, in particular, always makes each visit special. She is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely personable, and I always enjoy chatting with her. Her enthusiasm and excellent customer service make the winery an even more enjoyable place to visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

We had flights and tasted all of their ciders. Ironically our mutual favorite was a hopped cider. It was literally the only one we liked. At least for now, it seems they should stick to wine. The man working there was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great experience learning about the ciders and speaking with him, just wish they tasted better. They have a little seating area outside that was comfortable and nice to relax at.

We were there on a Sunday, a beautiful spring day - the sun shining and the small group of visitors kept growing as the afternoon progressed. Unknown to us, the Vineyard had a busy agenda planned, but first they steered us to a grassy area away from their main parking area to park for the night. We went inside to the cool and comfortable wine tasting room and were greeted by a very friendly engaging staff. Ruby offered us a sample and ran through their day's agenda. A talented group of musicians were setting up their equipment on the shaded patio outside while guests were spreading blankets on the lawn or setting up a picnic on one of the several available tables. We were meeting old friends there and hoped we could find a seat. The band played much of the music that I grew up on (Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, the Dead, and lots more.) We picked out a few bottles to put in the frig in our rig ... then went back inside. Our friends (that live nearby in Vermont) joined us first inside where we shared a charcuterie board. We later moved to our Class B with them and enjoyed our little picnic, accompanied by their delicious wines. Then late in the afternoon, we went back inside because a jazz ensemble was to perform. The sun was still shining and everyone there was feeling the vibes. We met the owner who had a staff that he should be very proud of - they were very gracious to all the guests that came through. Be sure and stay here if it's in your path.

Follow your maps and once you cross the bridge they have tons of signs to direct you, hard to get lost. Trust they're hours, we showed up in the pouring rain and they're still open 9am-5pm weekdays. As soon as you walk in you'll get free samples. We sampled 5 cheeses and 2 grades of maple syrup - it sells itself. One cheese is made with unpasteurized milk - others include sharp cheddar, sage, smoked. Convinced me to try traveling home with cheese for the first time. Tons of products available for sell including from other farms as well. I recommend picking up some of the Red Kite Candy caramels they have there. If you liked it as much as me their factory is about a 30 min drive away. Other activities include petting animals (not in winter), walking trail, and self guided tour of their maple house. Wasn't able to do the trail in the rain but I would estimate you can do all of this in 2 hours. Not at all like Billings Farm if you're concerned about going to both or only have time for one. Billings has an admission fee, no samples of milk or cheese though the make both. More of a museum but they do have up close interactions with their cows (even in winter) for the kids, butter churning, candle dipping. Recommend Billing for taking kids on homesteading field trip, Sugarbush a quick stop for foodie/charcuterie person IMPORTANT: They do NOT sell sugarbush products at any of the stores in Woodstock so don't plan to buy more later and have regrets like us - we looked in every store and couldn't find it. Not sure about Quechee though. Products can also be ordered online and shipped

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!
