Pay More for Less I…read morewent to Superblinds and I went to Home Depot. Home Depot gave me a quote at least 15% less than Superblinds. I told Superblinds and showed them my Home Depot quote. Superblinds has a price matching policy and I'd given them a $1000. deposit on the Superblinds order. Nonetheless, Superblinds did not price match. Not only did they not price match, but they were going to charge me ($200.?) for the home visit when I asked for my deposit to be refunded. I was stuck paying more. Superblinds did not honor their price-match policy, stuck in hidden design consultation fees, and stymied my attempt to speak to the owner. I could not speak to the owner. Owner does not care to problem solve negative customer experiences. In conclusion, don't bother with Superblinds. At Home Depot, you'll get more for less. The financing options at Home Depot alone make it possible to forestall payment for a year. Home Depot took back my cousin's blinds, no questions asked, because she didn't like the colour and gave her blinds in a different colour. Superblinds couldn't do that and can't compete with Home Depot. If you want Hunter Douglas products (which don't age as well as they claim) go to Costco. Superblinds can't compete with Home Depot or Costco. Watch how Superblinds upsells, hides costs and gives the most expensive options first. Don't expect a price match. Stay away from Superblinds.

Since then I have been patiently trying to get through to their service people to find out when they would coming out to finish the job. After many emails, I was told today by sales that it is not their policy to paint window jams. Caveat Emptor people. Buyer beware. Now I am stuck having to paint them myself, which means hiring a painter as I can no longer climb a ladder at 68 years old with two artificial knees.

We purchased fiberglass casement and picture windows from Accurate Dorwin in 2017 for our home…read moreremodel and are having serious issues with the windows after just 4 years. The windows are marketed to last a lifetime and they already need replaced. The casement windows are nearly impossible to crank open because the sashes are not sized correctly. We cleaned the tracks and sprayed them with silicone spray just to make it slightly manageable. The worst issue that is impossible to fix is the paint is loaded with specs of debris and it has color mismatches. If you look at the picture in my review you can see how much debris is in their paint finish which is abysmal for a "factory applied finish." I am pretty certain we have color mismatches between different components because they used up old scraps from previous jobs and just painted over the top of them. So some parts were painted with a white raw fiberglass base and other parts that were reused from old jobs have a base color like grey or tan. It is very noticeable when when you look at it from more than 20 feet away and the sun is shining. There is no way to fix these issues except to repaint the windows which would be a month long process removing sashes, weatherstrip, dried silicone and masking over the glass and our house. We are now just trying to get our money refunded so we can purchase new windows elsewhere.
