Rachel at Face First Skin Care is leaps and bounds above them all. **Caring & Detailed-Oriented Professional** Rachel customized a treatment plan for me after evaluating my skin during my first appointment. After each facial, she makes detailed notes about my skin and references them to prepare for my next treatment. She always notices differences in my skin and asks me questions about changes to my regime and/or environment. She can always tell when I've been diligent about moisturizing my skin (and when I haven't been as diligent)! :-) I feel very relaxed when her skilled hands gently glides over my face during treatment as she applies Dermalogica products, which she tailors to my facial needs. I feel like she is painting a wonderful picture on my face with the brushes she uses to apply facial masks onto my face. She also uses a variety of gadgets to further enhance my facial treatment (e.g., LED light, Oxygen) as needed. One time after my treatment session concluded, she discovered a sneaky bump between my eyes, which she couldn't have discovered during treatment because of the eye cover she placed on my eyes. Even though treatment had concluded, she was committed to treating my face fully so she worked on removing this sneaky bump! So glad I found this amazing place, I had the best facial I've ever had! Having worked at a very high-end dermatology practice for several years I've been soiled, but Sonia really blew me away. She took her time, going over my concerns and skincare regimen and giving sound advice. They use high quality products and she's got a wonderful touch, I barely even felt the extractions. Rachel and this place are a gem! I've been on the hunt for an esthetician after recently moving to the west side so I decided to try a new place out via Groupon for microdermabrasion. After she took a look at my skin for our appointment, she said it was too dry given the environment change and Rachel was honest in saying she doesn't feel comfortable to do it on that appointment as she did not want to compromise my skin. She was happy to reschedule, free of charge. She applied various face masks and creams to help hydrate and heal for my next visit. During my rescheduled visit, she thoroughly took care of my skin, with additional effort and TLC. I have found that most places who accept Groupons will rush the service and not do a thorough job - this is not the case with Rachel.
