The owner Porsha moved my appointment under someone with less experience with even asking me. The new person was warm and had a professional manner yet based on my reaction to the facial, she lacked in skills. Hence why I booked the owner, to ensure it would be done correctly. I reached out to the owner with my symptoms of redness, itchy dry skin, and swelling and asked her to cancel my follow-up appointment, I'm to work from home this week and seek additional dr visit for care of symptoms. Porsha responded blaming it on my skin or pollen. She stated that she blocked me from further booking appointments because I questioned if her staff was licensed? Yet the only plaques in the room for licensing were hers. The main reason why I gave her 1 star is that she was blaming, defensive and rude. She offered zero empathy or tips on dealing with complications post treatment. Beware and always pick a licensed establishment when doing facials. Your face deserves the best care!

The pigment did not stay in my brows and I was left with brows that were two different colors. I was told multiple different things; to let the pigment push through, people with my skin type or who bleed a lot don't get good results. I felt as though I was blamed for not having a good outcome. I followed the after care instructions very well. After months of asking if this was normal I finally got another appointment 3/18/21,which I was charged $100. I would save your money, I feel like I wasted $500. In addition, when I had my appointments, the atmosphere was unprofessional. She was taking personal phone calls throughout the appointments and at one point was talking poorly about one of her clients that another esthetician was seeing across the hall.

Yesterday I went in to the Ankeny location for my microneedling appointment. I am a member there…read moresince 2021 Fall but I was going to the WDM one first. It was good but I had a amazing experience with Krystal in Ankeny. She was attentive, informative and made sure to enter my points into Allé. Krystal took her time doing my facial and I actually felt like I got a facial with her because my skin immediately started flaking after which is what it's supposed to do. Will definitely go back to see her often. She gave me a mini tour on all the skin care afterwards and explained in detail the Allé points and how you can receive products with your points for SkinMédica only. I will recommend this location to all my friends and family.

I booked laser hair removal treatment at the Ankeny, IA location- my experience overall was good…read more One thing that is concerning is the staff turnover that I experienced- I had the same LE do my laser treatment for months and then she was gone- w/o any communication. It would have been nice to be notified that my regular LE was not longer with the company and ex person would be doing them- since then I had Ali & Kristina and Taylor finish out my treatment appointments. Each LE does the treatment different, so I had no idea what to expect for the last 6 months of my treatments. I had to keep asking them to do it the way I preferred. This was the only reason for 4 stars in this review. I have had a hydrafacial with Taylor since, and she is wonderful, easy going and explains the treatment the entire time. I would go back to her anytime for her knowledge and disposition.
