I've been getting my lashes done here for a while now and I recommend this place to all my friends. They now have UV lash glue, and the difference is SO noticeable -- appointments are faster and my eyes feel way less irritated compared to regular lash glue. The retention has also been amazing. My lashes stay fluffy and full longer, and I've noticed little to no stickiness/fumes during the appointment which makes the whole experience way more comfortable (my fav nap). If you have sensitive eyes or hate that burning/watery-eye feeling from traditional lash extensions, UV lashes are honestly a game changer. I had a lash appointment in early January and my experience was amazing! Prior the service, I communicated with my lash technician the style I prefer, and it turned out really nice. After the lash service, my lash technician noticed that my eyes were a bit red and asked how I feel? I told her my eyes were a bit irritated, kinda smoky. She then let me lay down and let the small fan lightly blow on my lashes to make my eyes feel better. Overall I was very satisfied with the service, and the level of details that Face-N-Lash provided was beyond my expectation! My review is for the infrared dome/guasha.... I'm not really into massages, but Kim made me feel super comfortable right away. She's laid-back and easy to talk to, which definitely helped ease any nerves I had. She explained everything, so I knew what to expect. Plus the guasha is a little different than a traditional massage I work out regularly, but I've always struggled with a bit of stubborn puff around my midsection that I couldn't shake no matter how hard I worked at the gym or stuck to my diet. lashes: Got my lashes done here so far by Sherin, Marisa, Sue, and Corinna. They're all so amazing at their craft! They take the time to look at your eye shape and personalize a lash map that works for you. I used to get them done by at home lash techs and my lashes would come off within 1-1.5 weeks then they would say it's because I sleep on my face or my skin is "too oily". I tried many at home lash techs and I started to believe that maybe it was me. After going to Face N Lash, I've concluded it's not me, it's them. My lashes with my apparently oily eyelid (and I sleep with my face in the pillow) lasts for a month and and some lashes will stick on for almost 2 months. Plus they remove every single outgrown lash during your fills. It may be a bit more expensive than your at home lash techs but it's so so so worth. It's been a long time that I got a facial done. Face Plus closed in Santa Clara so I had to find another one. I came across this place on Yelp. It's on the back side of Castro by the US post office. From the outside of the building it wasn't great to look at but once you go inside, the salon is trendy. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Ana Lisa who turns out to be my esthetician. I came in for a basic facial to get extraction and exfoliation. Ana Lisa was courteous to ask how my face is and if there was anything she needed to be aware of like allergies and discomfort so she can find other suitable services for me. She did a little hydrafacial and applied Dermalogica moisturizer to my dry skin and said I could wear my foundation over it. From the whole day, it felt like I was wearing a mask with no make up on and my face glistened the whole day. Next, she applied eye serum which I had an allergic reaction to. My eyelids swelled up and my eyes were itchy. From my overall experience, I was treated well with care. Yang started taking care of my boys' faces. Teenagers and their never ending blackheads. She was very accommodating and made sure my boys were comfortable especially for their first extraction. They moved to a new location during the pandemic but kept the place very clean even with the smaller location. I'm glad they are still around even after the pandemic. Booking is super easy. We usually send a text message to their number and we are able to get our appointments setup without a phone call. They also send you reminders. Parking is not bad although as downtown Mountain View goes during lunch or dinner, it can be a challenge. She is very communicative with her process. Great price for the hydro facial. Loved my experience with their face&body microblading artist, Snow Nguyen. I had my first experience with another PMU (different location) just before covid and the tail end of my eyebrows were fading fast. I booked in with Snow and she made the whole experience worth it again. Less pain than before. Snow clearly explained the procedure and after care and explained about the level of pain I might experience on the first round of cut, the color correction process and then the numbing experience for the last two rounds. Maybe it's because she's a nurse but she has access to a really fast numbing cream - 2min and she was working on my brow and I managed to doze in and out of that experience. Weird! I was there for a total of 2hrs. One hr for chitchat, measuring, recording, double checking and the other hour was the work. So far an awesome experience. To preface, I have never done a facial prior to coming here but I've always thought about what it would feel like. After getting convinced, I decided to come check out this place that a couple friends told me had great service and they take amazing care of you! Let's say that I was pretty nervous. They also didn't try to charge me full price since I didn't know they had an active promotion going on! This was very nice of them to do, which I'm sure other places would probably not mention. I have gone to face-n-body in the past for eyelash extensions, and due to the professional and welcoming environment from that past experience, i was excited to try a facial this time around! Analisa was my esthetician, and I had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Once i changed into a towel and settled in to the comfy (and heated!) bed, she was ready to get to work. After taking a look at my skin and asking a few skincare/diet questions (how many cups of water do you drink, what products are you currently using, etc), she was able to determine what type of serums to use for the duration of the treatment. i was glad she was able to change or adjust the products based on what my skin needed at that moment. We decided on a chemical exfoliation/peel before moving on to the extractions and hydradermabrasion. Analisa was very attentive and made sure to check in frequently while applying the chemical peel to gauge "tingly" level (i've had chemical peels in the past and luckily it wasn't too tingly and my skin can handle it), but it was reassuring that she kept checking in on my comfort level. After the peel she followed with gentle, yet thorough extractions, and the hydradermabrasion treatment. it was my first time doing any sort of dermabrasion and Analisa was great with letting me know what it would feel like before putting the machine on my skin (thankfully, as i would have probably been confused with the sucking sensation without being warned haha). The appointment ended with a nice cooling mask under an oxygen dome--very calming and felt very peaceful as Analisa also took that time to give me a relaxing massage on my shoulders, arms and neck. Had the massage went on for 3-4 more min i would have fallen asleep! haha. She then layered a few serums and some moisturizer on my face and neck and then it was time to send me back out into the world, glistening and glowing! Overall great experience with Analisa, she was knowledgeable, friendly and gave great product recommendations to maintain my skin in-between appointments. Came in for a lash lift. Scarlett was very nice with the process but I wasn't too impressed by the results. The lift was okay on my left eye lashes but my right eye lashes were barely lifted. The lash lift service did not open my eyes like I had seen on other customers. I do have Asian eyelashes so not sure if that plays a factor into the lashes not being able to lift very well but I have had lash lifts before that made my eyes really pop so not sure what went wrong here, but customer service is good overall and area is clean. I came here for a microdermabrasion appointment and boy, it was an amazing and relaxing experience! I never had a microdermabrasion facial before, but I do use a derma-roller from time to time. The pain is very tolerable. In fact, it only felt prickly. The esthetician's name is Yang. There is a steamer in the room which helps open your pores. Yang did a double cleanse on my face before performing the extraction and microdermabrasion. This process took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Note: There's a free 2 hour public parking garage nearby so parking ain't that hard to find! I was so surprised how much dead skin build up I had on my face, and afterwards my face was smoother than a baby's bottom! After that, we aren't done just yet. Yang also did a seaweed with aloe facial mask which burned at first, but she assured me that it's normal since we are opening up the skin/exposing it. While the mask was drying Yang even gave a neck and shoulder massage which was super relaxing! She recommended a good sunscreen and facial wash for my sensitive skin! My skin feels amazing and my boyfriend even noticed that my skin was glowing! Thank you so much, Yang! I'm definitely one happy camper! Hehe. TIP: Yang is only available Wednesday-Sunday. I've been going to Face-N-Body for over a year before the pandemic happened. I originally chose the shop based on proximity to where I used to live but ended up staying and falling in love with my lashes and all the staff. I think I've had my lashes done by literally everyone who works at the Mountain View location, and everyone has done a phenomenal job. Even at 3 weeks my lashes all hold their curls and might look a little uneven (bc of how I sleep ‍) but they don't look super sparse or gangly. I'll definitely be returning once things go back to normal! And I appreciate all the precautions the staff are taking to keep everyone safe during these uncertain times!
