I decided to get my eyelashes extended for shits n giggles. No party to go to, no special event planned, I just wanted to see what it was about and I'm really glad I chose to go see Rebecca to get it done. Her studio is located in Sola Salon and she has this HUGE comfy bed/chair that you get to lay on while she puts dainty eyelashes on you for about 2 hours. Let me tell you, that bed/chair thing is so comfy I would have fallen asleep if she wasn't talking to me. The stuff that girl says is so funny. This was my first time getting lash extensions and Rebecca 100% made me in L-O-V-E with my new lashes!!!! Mind you, I liveeeeed for my Mink Lily Lashes Falsies (the traditional strip lashes you apply with lash glue) but they are now taking a back seat because of the gorgeous new set of lashes I received from Rebecca. It's so clear that she loves her job and puts a lot of care and precise attention as she works on you. For any other first timers out there reading this- I'm HUGE on asking a ton of questions so don't worry because she has all the knowledge to make you excited for us first timers! Getting my lashes done for the first time I honestly didn't know what to expect, I was so happy that she squeezed me in last minute that when I finally got to the appointment I asked all my questions and pulled up some pictures I found on her Instagram and told her roughly the style I'm into (Btw if you want to browse her work like I did, I found her at @horeyezons.lashes) but besides showing her a few pictures I liked I just let her do her thing and BOY did she deliver!!!!!! My mom & I both got our lashes done before our long trip to Hawaii and we couldn't be happier with them. It was humid during our vacation, VERY HOT, and I was like a fish constantly swimming in the ocean lol but after all of this my lashes were still intact and ready to go for the next event! It might just be my excitement for having these new lashes but I almost think the lashes got better over time. She gave me this lash brush and instructed me how to take care of my lashes. I noticed with just a little light brushing after I got out of the water my lashes were all ready to go again. Being a first timer, I was intimidated by the maintenance of this all but it's really very very easy. If you just remember to brush them every now and then with the lash brush she gives you or even just use your finger to gently push them up when it gets wet, that's pretty much all you need to do. Being a big falsies girl, for every occasion I had to order online soooo many sets of lashes (+ pay for shipping!!!) just to bring them with me on trips but it's not worth it anymore after getting a lash extension done. I still can't believe how incredibly light my verrrry full set of lashes felt. The moment she was done applying the lashes, every blink was as light as a feather but my lashes looked full as ever! So when it comes to lash extensions vs. strip lash falsies, lash extensions wins in comfort. As a new converted lover of lash extensions I want to leave off with this.. it's absolutely worth the visit to Rebecca's studio. These lashes were so beautiful, full, yet natural, that I didn't even have to spend the extra 15 minutes applying eyeliner because the lashes on their own were already enough glam for me! Nothings going to beat how incredibly comfortable it feels to have full lashes that feel like only your natural lashes. Nothings going to beat the care that Rebecca provides and the amazing experience you'll get going here. I'm no stranger to beauty appointments now (haha) and this has to be my favorite beauty appointment yet. Okay also I did some math- I typically spend $30 on a single pair of traditional strip falsies, which are heavy.. you have to peel off at night.. and I don't care what the website says you really only get ONE true good wear out of them (once you stick the lash glue on it, it's anyone's guess how it'll peel off later) so really I'm saving MUCH more money now and I get to enjoy the beautiful lash extensions for much much longer too :) As always with all my long reviews on beauty appointments, if you have any questions about my experience send me a message but I recommend going here forsure! The location of her studio is inside the massive 'Sala Salon Studio' next to Bank of America in Sunnyvale. Room #8 is her, but don't worry she'll meet you out front. Her room is very small but very accommodating. The bed is literally heaven - so be prepared to take a Lash Nap. Come to find out she just bought it so you know I took FULL advantage. My lashes look terrific. Rebecca was very fast and super detailed throughout the process. I've had MANY fills and new sets, but no one has been as gentle as her. Her QUALITY craftsmanship helps the lashes last so long, 3-4 weeks before you need a refill. I've gone to a lot of different lash places before, searching for the right person and place because I'm so particular of the lash service I'm receiving. I actually looked vigorously through the yelp reviews for a good eyelash technician once the one I was going to over 3 years moved to a different state.
