I brought in my antique engagement ring that was incorrectly resized by a previous jeweler…read moreresulting in an oval shank. I had concerns about the ring spinning despite resizing. Gary inspected the ring in great detail and made a recommendation to remove some of the shank and rebuild it, as well as to place tension springs to prevent spinning and slipping. He took his time to measure my finger for the optimal fit. I was told by another jeweler that all of my prongs needed replacement and I wanted a second opinion. Gary again took his time to inspect all the prongs and reassured me that they didn't need replacement. I was very glad for his honesty. The next business day, Gary fixed the ring in 3-4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was so nervous previously to entrust someone with my ring, but I felt at ease. Gary offered that I stay and watch the entire process. He told me to inspect my gemstone carefully after his job was complete as general good practice after having my jewelry worked on! I am so happy with the end result and strongly recommend this jeweler. The key factors that impressed me most were honesty, trustworthiness, attention to detail, patience, mastery of his craft, and sharing of knowledge/providing an understandable rationale for his decision-making. I will absolutely be returning for intermittent ring checks!

The owner in my experience, is a very nice person who is interesting to talk to. From what I've seen, the store isn't often busy so it's easy to stop and talk to her. As for the other negative review, it's her right as a business owner, especially a business owner whose store is connected to their house, to require masks. "Freedom" only applies to public property, if you're on private property you can't just do whatever you want. This isn't an "america freedom" thing this is the case in every country, it is the case in ours too, and has always been the case in our country. From what I remember on my most recent visit, she didn't ask me to put on a mask, but that review was written 3 years ago. Part of my decision to write this review is it's such a nice little store for our local area, and the woman who runs it is polite and I think is a great member of our community, and it seems unfair her only review is a 1 star review from someone who doesn't understand the concept of private property or business ownership. If you want an example of some of the stuff that is sold here, one of the things I've bought was an antique 48 star hand flag, which I appreciate as a fan of flags. There are many other good things there, especially related to Pepperell as a town, and if you are in the area and this store is open I recommend you check it out. You might find something you like!

Anyone who has had a preteen will tell you that they do not innately possess, righteous indignation as they have not developed philosophies of life on their own. This is taught and parroted back in the hopes of pleasing their trainers. What does it say when we teach our children this level of aggression and entitlement at such a tender age? There was an expected delay but never any contact or communication on their part. But they didn't hesitate to take the money from my account and go on vacation to someplace warmer. So on December 5th, 2022 I sent an email asking for an update on my order. Later on the same date, I received a Transaction refund from Pepperell Braiding Company with nothing more than an invoice number and the amount to be refunded. I thought that was a cold way to treat a paying customer. So I looked up their phone number and spoke to the very lady who issued the refund. I was not happy with them issuing a refund without any explanation. She told me she didn't know what the reason was for the refund she was just advised to refund the money from Mr. Jowel in the wick department. I asked to speak to a totally confused Mr. Jowel who was not up on the conversation end of a telephone call. I see why he doesn't answer the phone. He kept apologizing for asking the same questions over and over again and then wanting to give me a history lesson about the company being swamped. He finally said that the lady in accounting transposed a number or two and that's why my order was canceled. I'll never do business with such a fly-by-night company that can't keep track of what's going on and fails miserably in keeping their customers informed.
